SUMMARY:Rogers Cycling Festival
DESCRIPTION:Get Out\, Stay Active and Spend Time With Family: The 2023 Rogers Cycling Festival (RCF) is a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery\, roads\, and trails of Rogers. In partnership with the City of Rogers\, the RCF is a family-friendly event coming Saturday\, September 9. Participants are invited to check in from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Frisco Plaza in Downtown Rogers. Before riding\, be sure to check out the many booths set up featuring local businesses and grab complimentary merchandise and accessories. \nAbout This Year’s Festival: This year we are expanding the offerings of the Cycling Festival. You will still be able to enjoy a nice family ride on the Railyard Loop\, where every part of the ride is on trails and sidewalks during a 15+ mile ride that loops the entire city of Rogers. Riders are encouraged to track their progress by using the Strava app. View the loop here. \nThis year we are introducing the Rogers Enduro Race at Lake Atalanta. Since its inception in the early 2010s\, enduro racing has quickly become one of the most popular mountain bike disciplines\, representing the type of riding a lot of mountain bikers were already doing. Enduro offers technical but accessible racing for riders who want to avoid the full-blooded tracks of downhill racing or the Lycra-clad whippets of cross-country racing. Our race will have something for everyone\, from the professional rider to someone who is just getting started and will take place on the new Mountain Bike Trails around Lake Atalanta. \nMore About Rider Village: Rider Village will be located at Frisco Plaza in Downtown Rogers and features a variety of experiences to relax and have fun after a day of riding in the RCF. Attendees will enjoy various food trucks\, drinks\, and other entertaining activities. After you finish riding and checking out Rider Village\, the fun continues. We have partnered with the City of Rogers to offer a free concert for all of our riders as part of the Railyard Live concert series. \nSponsorships Available: Not a rider? Sponsoring the 2023 Rogers Cycling Festival is an effective\, low-cost way to promote your company and raise your company’s profile in the community. Sponsorship packages include the opportunity to reach all ride participants and be recognized by the Chamber. Contact the Chamber’s Member Services Team at (479) 636-1240 or email MemberServices@RogersLowell.com for sponsorship details. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds are not accepted within 48 hours of the event.

SUMMARY:The Ozark Randonneur
DESCRIPTION:The Ozark Randonneur 120: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42350611 \nThe Ozark Randonneur 200: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42254901 \nRandonneuring is long-distance unsupported endurance cycling. This style of riding is non-competitive in nature\, and self-sufficiency is paramount. When riders participate in randonneuring events\, they are part of a long tradition that goes back to the beginning of cycling in France and Italy. Friendly camaraderie\, not competition\, is the hallmark of randonneuring. \n\n“…in a nutshell: Cycling with like-minded friends\, on beautiful roads\, while challenging yourself to ride better than you ever imagined. How you define “better” is up to you. Better can mean faster\, more miles\, more fun\, more… or a combination of the above.” – Jan Heine of Rene Herse\n\nDrafting is allowed. Teamwork is allowed. Obey traffic laws and don’t get lost or take shortcuts. \nThe inaugural Ozark Randonneur embarks from Historic Downtown Fayetteville\, Arkansas on\nSaturday\, September 16th\, 2023. For this year’s inaugural event\, we’re offering two distance options: 122.5 Miles and 201 Miles. In order to be an official finisher\, you must make the time cut-offs. \n122.5 Miles – 15 Hours (Back by Midnight) \n201 Miles – 25 Hours (Back by 10 AM Next Day) \nWhile no podium exists for this event\, some may chase a Fastest Known Time for extra bragging rights. \nThere will be no tracking for this event; a ride file must be provided upon completion for a finisher swag bag\, award and an extra raffle ticket. Anyone participating gets a bandanna and a raffle ticket.\nFayetteville’s vibrant downtown has long been considered the entertainment capital of Arkansas with\nhistoric Dickson Street the epicenter for fun – a fitting start and finish line for the Ozark Randonneur.\nIn addition to a vibrant nightlife\, participants will find everything from local coffee shops pouring\nflavorful drip to eclectic kitchens serving gourmet grilled cheese – and everything in between.\nFor additional information on Fayetteville including lodging suggestions and some of our favorite\nactivities to complement any ride just visit www.experiencefayetteville.com. \nThis event serves as an annual fundraiser for OZARK GRAVEL CYCLISTS\, A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION (EIN: 88-2185955). \nOGC has a mission to support and advance a diverse community of adventure cyclists through route development\, group rides\, events\, and educational opportunities.
