DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the premier bikepacking event of Arkansas. We don’t start or end in a busy city with traffic and flashing lights; instead\, we get deep in the heart of the Ozarks and ride\, hike-a-bike\, resupply\, and sleep where the population is low and the terrain is all-time. \nThis is not for the faint of heart; it’s a proper Ozark backcountry experience. Forest Service and County roads get ROWDY. This year we’ve even included some of the best singletrack in the state. Both options start and end at the BOC Ponca Downhill Trailhead. At least a hardtail mountain bike with a minimum of 2.2″ tires is the general recommendation. If you’re a fan of underbiking or only have a gravel rig… you won’t be stopped but you’ve been warned. \nTotal event cap is 100 regardless of what category numbers are at. This is the max number of day guests we can have at the lodge and the max the long-term parking area can accommodate. \nIn for the Long Haul? Insert the new Despair route. Rooms with two queen beds can sleep up to four people if you’re trying to split costs/logistics with some homies. If you reserve an available room it is your own private room unless you ask others to join you. SUMMARY:Boston Mountain Eclipse Challenge
DESCRIPTION:This is a gravel cycling event incorporating some fun “challenges” along the 50-mile route. The event includes; entertainment\, free tent camping\, showers\, bathrooms\, 5 or 6 meals (depending on if you arrive Saturday night or Sunday morning)\, support stops\, activities\, and prime eclipse viewing with viewing glasses. \nForm a team of 4 people and cycle to five designated locations where each member of the team is required to complete a challenge before cycling to the next location/challenge. The route is 50 miles of mostly gravel roads. Your team will be responsible for downloading the route map. No signs will be posted. \nSaturday\, 4-6-24: Teams or individual members can arrive and camp the night before the event. Dinner will be provided. \nSunday\, 4-7-24  \n8:00 AM: Breakfast & challenge rules \n9:00 AM: Challenge begins. (A sack lunch will be provided at the Snowball Store for riders to eat or take with them.) \nFollowing finish: Dinner will be provided\, and awards & shirts will be distributed. This event is BYOB\, but we are working on having some iced-down beverages available. Parking on one side\, tents on the other.  Port-o-potties will be available but no running water or showers\, but guaranteed community and good times.  Sorry\, no available areas for RVs. Park your cars/vans at your own risk. Because the community and the local Walton Family Foundation take mountain biking seriously. They hired the best trail builders in the business to design an epic trail system within city limits with paved bike paths leading to every trailhead. The result\, a plethora of different trails to match any level of experience including some of the most competitive trails in the U.S. As if all this wasn’t enough\, the lower altitude allows enthusiasts to ride almost year-round.

DESCRIPTION:The Highlands Gravel Classic is the only age-group qualifier in the USA for the Trek UCI Gravel World Series (GWS) as 1 of 2 qualifying events in North America.The GWS will include both new and existing events from around the world as part of the series to qualify competitors to attend the world championships in October.  Selection to the world championships will be per age group and gender.  The top 25% finishers of ages 19-34 and then every 5-year age groups (ex 35-39) with age groups seperated by gender will qualify. There is a U19 age category\, but it is NOT a qualifier category. \nHighlands Gravel Classic will have 2 courses…the Highlands – 66 miles and Farmlands – 52 miles.  The 66 mile course is for Males (19-59) and Females (19-49). 52 mile course is for Males 60+ and Females 50+. \nField Participant Caps: \n\nFarmlands course – 500 total riders\nHighlands course – 600 total riders
