SUMMARY:Tour de Salvation
DESCRIPTION:**HELMET REQUIRED\n***EVERYONE MUST CHECK-IN AND GET BIB#’s FROM REGISTRATION TABLE MORNING OF RIDE \nThanks for your interest in Tour de Salvation! \nYour registration fee benefits The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program. This program provides individualized services to families with children who desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. It seeks to address the root causes of poverty in addition to The Army’s history of compassionate serving. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment\, unstable housing\, and lack of education\, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and\, ultimately\, self-sufficiency. \nJoin us for a family friendly\, multi “bike”\, ride in our beautiful Hot Springs!\nYou will have the option to ride your road bike only\, MTB only\, or BOTH!! Yes\, we will have routes that include both road AND mountain. We will have a shuttle for your bikes at the exchange location. \nAfter you have worked up a good appetite come celebrate your finish at our After Party. (Farmers Market) Your “tour” registration includes food and drink\, t-shirt\, and other awesome swag. (Family Ride includes Finisher Medal\, food and drink only) We have put in a lot of time into planning\, and months of meetings to bring you a fun unique experience in our beautiful city on your bike! \nCome enjoy live music\, food\, and drinks provided by The Salvation Army Canteen\, and good family fun! Not riding? No worries! You can buy a ticket to the after party and join in on the festivities by being a virtual rider. \nSAG and Aid Stations will be available on each route. \n***Riders must wear bib numbers (supplied with registration) to obtain food and access to certain areas of the route. Medical support will be available; however\, medical personnel will not be dispensing comfort medications such as: aspirin\, ibuprofen\, Tylenol. Participants are asked to bring their own comfort medications as needed. \nHelmets are required for ALL riders regardless of the route you ride or your age. \nPlease download and save the route you plan to ride!!! All the routes will be well marked but it always helps to have the route on your bike computer! All routes are below. \nFull Tour de Salvation\nIf you plan to ride the Full Tour route\, you have the option to bring two different bikes. Many riders will ride the road route with a road bike (or gravel bike) and then switch to their mountain bike (MTB). Or you can complete the entire ride on your MTB!  If you plan to switch bikes\, remember to bring the shoes you need for each bike! You will need to “check in” your mountain bike and MTB shoes by 6:45 am on the day of the event. Your MTB will be shuttled to the switch point. Once you switch bikes at the trail\, you will leave your road bike at the switch point and it will be shuttled back to the start point. After completing the mountain bike trail ride at the Pullman Trailhead\, you will simply ride your MTB on the road for 2.5 miles back through downtown (bathhouse row) to the Farmer’s Market. Strava route: Road Portion https://www.strava.com/routes/3132071064894932544 MTB Portion https://www.strava.com/routes/3132071154709554368 \n  \n  \nRoad Only Routes \nHilly Road Tour Route- Strava route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3125951649470336056 \nEast Road Tour Route- Strava route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3125953515350025272 \nMTB ONLY Routes \n24-mile MTB Tour Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3121949753781927130 \n17-mile MTB Tour Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3125963887079819482 \nFamily Route \nFamily Fun Route- Strava route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3125956192373982426 \n  \nIf you are not riding the Full Tour\, you will complete your routes on one bike.\nTypically riders will complete a road route on a road bike.\nLikewise\, riders will complete a MTB route on a mountain bike. \n  \nThis is a charity event benefiting the Salvation Army Pathway of Hope.  In the event there is inclement (lightening/unsafe) weather or an unforeseen reason the ride is canceled\, (as well as participant cancelation) there will be no refunds of entry fee or carry over for next year.  We appreciate you showing your support for this benefit! \nCheck out Visit Hot Springs at www.hotsprings.org  for information on how to make a weekend of it!! Like where to stay\, things to do\, and places to see!!

SUMMARY:Arkansas NICA Race 1 - Plateau Region
DESCRIPTION:One of the great things about a NICA League\, which separates us from other youth cycling development programs\, is we produce our own youth-specific events. This means we pick out race venues and work directly with landowners and managers to produce the highest quality youth development racecourses and events. The student-athletes get a stage of their own\, away from adult competitions\, and we strive for safety and fun above all other factors. \nThe Arkansas League will produce a total of 7 events in 2024.  On our Time Trial weekend we will have a special Race Clinic Event on that Saturday aimed at getting more girls on bikes in addition to allowing newer riders have a practice race\, attend a race clinic and do their first mass start.  Followed by a Prelude Time Trial and 4 races in the fall.  New for 2024 we have 2 Regions.  Plains (Central\, South and NE Arkansas) and Plateaus (NWA and OK generally).    The competitive racing will consist of 2 regional events\, and 2 All league Events.   We will crown regional champions at the end of Race 3 based of total points and also have a true “winner take all” State Championship Event at Race 4.  Athletes must have attended atleast 2 prior races to be eligible to win the State Championship.

SUMMARY:Arkansas NICA Race 2 - Mid Season Classic

SUMMARY:Big Dam Bridge 100
DESCRIPTION:The Big Dam Bridge 100 began with a group of enthusiastic cyclists from central Arkansas who formed the Big Dam Bridge Foundation (BDBF). The BDBF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to promote the use\, support and preservation of the Big Dam Bridge for the advancement of health\, fitness\, cultural and recreational activities in Arkansas. \nThe Big Dam Bridge connects approximately 20 miles of scenic riverside trails in the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock and assists in the connection of 70\,000 acres of city\, county\, state and federal park land. More importantly\, the Big Dam Bridge connects people by fostering a sense of community and provides a venue for community members to engage in community events. The Foundation has raised money for several projects through the Big Dam Bridge 100\, including the Pitstop Pavilion\, recently opened on the Little Rock side of the bridge. \nArkansas’ premier cycling event started in 2006 with the opening of the Big Dam Bridge. The Big Dam Bridge 100 used Burns Park as the Finish line area\, but then moved to historic Argenta in North Little Rock to showcase more of central Arkansas. Slowly it has built into an international event\, featuring timed rides\, onsite photography\, a 15-mile family ride\, opportunities for fundraising\, out-of-state clubs participating with the support of local\, regional and national sponsors. \nThe Big Dam Bridge 100 is a place-builder. This ride promotes one of Arkansas most popular tourist attractions\, has influenced the development of trails and other bridges and helps give central Arkansas a reputation as a cycling-friendly community. In addition\, thousands of people visit the Little Rock / North Little Rock areas and enjoy our special brand of southern hospitality while experiencing 100+ miles of beautiful scenery and friendly people.
