SUMMARY:Rule of Three
DESCRIPTION:The Course\nNorthwest Arkansas has some of the best road riding in the United States. If you’ve ever ventured into the backroads\, you’ll find gravel roads unrivaled anywhere else on earth. Have you ridden the singletrack? It’s world-famous. \nWe thought we’d take these three paragons of NWA and wrap them into a brutally beautiful\, challenging\, and uncommon course. You’ll ride out of Bentonville on rolling\, mixed terrain. The road will pitch up and descend\, over and over\, and you’ll feel fresh as your mind plays tricks on you. Tarmac to gravel and back\, then a quick dip into some primo Bella Vista singletrack. Pop out\, and your front wheel points towards southern Missouri as you speed along the tree-lined rural roads… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs the pavement slowly runs its course over the passing miles\, the bulk of gravel arrives. Open farm fields. Tree canopy cover. Smooth hardpack. Chossy\, chunky\, sharp\, pebble wrestling. Sometimes sidewalls tear\, choose your rubber wisely. We like to joke that the SRAM AXS Mullet build with the 10/50 cassette in the back was custom-tuned to the steep pitchy gravel climbs here. The terrain is relentless. Sometimes single lane\, sometimes double track. You’ll never settle into a rhythm\, and it’ll hurt… \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSomewhere around mile 75 (give or take)\, you’ll feel like you should be done and finished. But that’s when the meat and potatoes start. You’re staring down the barrel of multiple singletrack sectors to get your bonking body to the finish. If you were to ride these rippers with fresh legs on a good day\, you’d be reveling in heavenly shred. But you’re 75 miles into hell\, and these trails won’t relent. You’ll need that 10/50\, trust us. Keep it together\, cause the descents are a riot if you’re of a right mind. No matter how cratered your body feels at this point\, you’ll find a smile on your face. Lean\, climb\, descend\, steer\, and oh yeah\, choose your equipment wisely (see that flint stone in the photo above?). Just as you’re about to quit\, you’ll glimpse the finish. And you’ll be proud of you. And everyone else will be too. A hug\, a beer\, a laugh\, and you conquered the day. \nThis is the Rule Of Three.

SUMMARY:Bentonville Bike Fest
DESCRIPTION:Bentonville Bike Fest presented by Mobil1 returns for its third year with several exciting changes\, the first being an earlier date\, May 25 through 28\, 2023. The earlier date is one of several updates for the Bike Fest including a new venue\, more competitions\, and additional activities. These features will add to festival staples that include free demo bikes\, hundreds of vendors\, non-stop entertainment\, and access to legendary Northwest Arkansas riding. \nNew Venue – Located adjacent to the popular Coler MTB preserve\, the Bentonville Bike Fest presented by Mobil1 central venue will be hosted at “Old Applegate\,” the former home of the historical Applegate Arts & Crafts fair. These historic fairgrounds are ideal for the Bike Fest offering easy access to some of the best riding in the region\, yet only minutes by bike from downtown. A new venue and expo floor plan means new opportunities for brands to exhibit\, sponsor\, and demo. \nNew Competitions – New among our diverse collection of events celebrating the bike culture of Bentonville\, will be the North American debut of the 2023 Mountain Bike Eliminator Pan American series\, powered by City Mountainbike. Mountain Bike Eliminator\, or XCE\, is a relatively new XC mountain bike race format in which four riders compete against each other over a very short course. In each heat\, the two fastest riders get to the next round\, while the two slower riders are eliminated from the race. \nOther festival favorites continue in 2023\, including; \n\nUCI Trials C1 competition\nEnduro and Kids Enduro\nKids events\nGravel event\nUCI C1 BMX flatland event\nWorkshops by pros like Kyle Strait\, Rachel Strait\, Anneke Beerten\, and Carson Storch\n\n“I’m super excited to bring the Bike Fest to Bentonville for the 3rd time in a row. Moving the date to Memorial Weekend will not only guarantee cooler weather but also give the opportunity to our festival goers to travel from all over the country and spend a long weekend in Bentonville\, to ride bikes\, and enjoy this amazing town. We are also super excited to get the most out of our new venue which is adjacent to the amazing Coler MTB preserve so you can literally freewheel to the trails. We are here to celebrate bikes and give everyone an unforgettable time!” commented festival Founder Kenny Belaey. \nNew Date – Cooler temperatures and new opportunities roll in with the Bentonville Bike Fest moving to the Memorial Day weekend. With regional average high temps in the upper seventies and cool\, comfortable nights\, the riding in Northwest Arkansas is at its best. With more than 14 hours of daylight\, you’ll get plenty of miles in. And as always\, entrance for attendees is free and bike demos are complimentary.

SUMMARY:The deltaGRIND
DESCRIPTION:Presented by studioDRIFT\,  this ride will take gravel riders on a one-of-a-kind tour and experience in the Arkansas Delta. Starting on Cherry Street in Downtown Helena\, AR\, there will be three ride options: a beginner\, intermediate\, and a 50-mile loop for more experienced cyclists. The ride will begin at 10 AM on May 27th and will originate at Court Square Park at the intersection of Porter and Cherry Street in Downtown Helena. \nThe 50-miles Route leaves Downtown Helena along the levee\, then along the low road of the St. Francis National Forest. It is approximately 25 miles to Marianna winding through city streets\, around the city square in downtown\, and past the famous Jones BBQ. The city square will be a welcoming break in a beautiful downtown and local culture. The return will follow the high road through the St. Francis National Forest along a mix of asphalt and gravel returning to downtown Helena where a festive atmosphere awaits. \nThe 30-mile Route follows the same path but will not reach Marianna. Instead\, it will move from the low road to the high road just south of Bear Creek Lake where aid stations will await riders at Mile 15. The return will follow the high road through the national forest\, past Storm Creek Lake\, and back into downtown Helena. \nThe Beginner Gravel Route is 18 miles leaving from Downtown Helena and moving to the high road at approximately mile 9. The climb to the high road is a nice challenge where aid stations will provide a respite. The return is 9 miles back into downtown along paved roads winding through the St. Francis National Forest and passing Storm Creek Lake and Mississippi River State Park. \nThe deltaGRIND is an annual ride that raises money to re-animate the Delta and rural Arkansas by inspiring renewed interest in the area by focusing on natural resources. The Arkansas Delta is rich with music and history\, but the Delta is equally rich in superior trails and routes for gravel riding – and\, so far\, has been underutilized and untapped. So join us and experience the Delta’s uniquely authentic culture and history that makes it one of the most unique places on Earth. \nRead our story from the 2022 event. \n*All riders get a deltaGRIND t-shirt – along with a goody bag of cool stuff\, you can keep and show your friends\, who will envy you and your Delta adventure! \nRegister Today!
