SUMMARY:Tour de Salvation
DESCRIPTION:Your registration fee benefits The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program. This program provides individualized services to families with children who desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment\, unstable housing\, and lack of education\, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and\, ultimately\, self-sufficiency. \nJoin us for a family friendly\, multi “bike”\, ride in our beautiful Hot Springs!\nYou will have the option to ride your road bike only\, MTB only\, or BOTH!! Yes\, we will have routes that include both road AND mountain. We will have a shuttle for your bikes at the exchange location. \nAfter you have worked up a good appetite come celebrate your finish at our After Party. (Farmers Market) Your “tour” registration includes food and drink\, t-shirt\, and other awesome swag. (Family Ride includes Finisher Medal\, food and drink only) We have put in a lot of time into planning\, and months of meetings to bring you a fun unique experience in our beautiful city on your bike! \nCome enjoy music\, food\, and drinks provided by The Salvation Army Canteen\, and good family fun! All the routes will be well marked but it always helps to have the route on your bike computer! All routes are below. \nFull Tour de Salvation\nIf you plan to ride the Full Tour route\, you have the option to bring two different bikes. SUMMARY:99 Miles of Bad Road
DESCRIPTION:99 Miles of Bad Road is a gravel bicycle race starting and ending in Hardy\, Arkansas.  Expect every road surface type\, with roughly 80% being unpaved.  Don’t let the elevation profile of the GPX fool you – Devices have picked up 100 feet or more of elevation gain per mile. These are relentless rolling hills with an occasional punchy climb or sketchy descent.  Everything from mud\, dirt\, gravel\, concrete bridges\, clay\, crushed limestone\, creek rocks\, broken pavement\, and more.  This route earns it’s name.  This is an ‘even year’ so we will be running the loops clockwise! Make sure you download the EVEN YEAR files. \nAll finishers will receive a cool memento! Top 3 in each category will receive a unique custom award. \nOh\, and we also have a 199 Mile route option… all 199’ers will be required to provide their own live GPS tracking – either via phone\, Garmin\, Spot\, etc. \nCheck the website and Facebook regularly for updates! \n————– \n-Both distances of this race are loop routes that start and end at Loberg Park in Hardy\, Arkansas.  Camping is available at the campground next door to the park.  We have nothing to do with that\, you’ll have to reserve with them here if you wish to camp: https://www.campspot.com/park/hardy-campground-rv-park \n-Unless there are tornadoes\, large hail\, or extreme thunderstorms the day of the race\, we will not cancel.  Put your big boy/girl pants on\, and ride! \n-There will be some water stops on the 99 mile route\, and this year we will have a fully stocked aid station at the Mammoth Spring State Park around half way. We will update the Ride With GPS route maps to reflect the locations closer to race day. The 199’ers can use these as well – however a large portion of their route will be ‘DIY’. Watch the website for the 199 Route file to be uploaded – that will give you guys an idea of where to find what so you can start planning your water and food needs ahead of time. \n-You are solely responsible for your own safety. We will however require a headlight\, flashlight\, or headlamp\, a whistle/horn\, at least 2L of water capacity\, and an emergency blanket/bivy\, and either a phone\, GPS\, or Bicycle computer. \n– Despite the risk of people tampering with arrows/flagging\, we WILL mark the 99 course this year\, well enough in advance to prevent timing issues. This does mean that some markers could be moved or taken down by people\, so you must make sure you have the right GPX file on your phone\, watch\, or computer. You are responsible for studying the route maps and navigating.  That’s half the fun!

SUMMARY:Ride the Ravine for Hydrocephalus
DESCRIPTION:This gravel and road cycling event will begin at 8 a.m. on the morning of the famous Battle of the Ravine football game between Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. If you plan to attend the game\, come early and enjoy an awesome ride in Southern Arkansas—you won’t be disappointed. After the ride\, stay for the post ride events which will include food\, drinks\, and entertainment. There will be rest stops on each route. \nThis isn’t a normal road ride and this isn’t a normal gravel ride. This is also not a race! This is a ride for those that love to ride their bicycle on quiet\, low-traffic county roads. \nThere are 4 route options in total.\n3 of the routes will have pavement and gravel.\nFor those pure roadies\, there is 1 route that is all pavement. \n“Groad” refers to a route that has both road (pavement) and gravel.\nGravel + Road = Groad \nThe links to each route is below. \nWe highly recommend downloading the route you plan to ride on your bike computer so you don’t get lost! While we will have the routes marked with signs/arrows\, but it’s always best to have the route on your computer! It’s possible that you may not see a sign! \n  \n35-mile Groad route:\nhttps://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/6639847977 \n51-mile Groad route:\nhttps://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/6639863265 \n73-mile Groad route:\nhttps://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/6651230233 \n33-mile Road route:\nhttps://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/6651252110 \n***If you’ve only ever ridden road (pavement) and you’re trying to decide if your skinny 25 mm or 28 mm tires would be safe on the gravel\, we do NOT recommend it! You will most likely get a flat! It’s best to ride any dirt and/or gravel roads with at least 35 mm wide TUBELESS tires. However\, even a 35 mm tire is considered skinny these days! Many gravel riders prefer 40+ mm tubeless tires. For the groad routes\, we personally prefer 42-45 mm wide tubeless tires and run fairly low tire pressure: 28-30 psi. So if you don’t have a bicycle that will accommodate a wider tire\, ride the 33-mile road only route.
