SUMMARY:Coler's Noon2Moon MTB Race - 2025
DESCRIPTION:Noon2Moon is a 6-hour endurance race and the only Coler Fundraiser event of the year! When you register to race\, you support improvements to your favorite trails at Coler\, facilities\, and access to affordable classes that make Coler a unique destination for all! Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is a community space provided by the Peel Compton Foundation whose mission is to connect the community through nature\, education\, recreation\, and preservation. \nBeginning on May 2nd\, 2025 we will have a kid’s ride camp and races hosted by Pedal Kids USA. If racing for 6 hours is not for you\, you may register to race our pre-race “hot lap” option\, a single lap of the racecourse with podiums for the top three racers and free entry to amazing raffle prizes. This lap will be the same as the 6-hour lap. See the course description below for more details. The E-bike category is for the hot lap option only. \nOutside Magazine named Coler as “One of the most beloved trails in the state of Arkansas.” Come race with us! \nEvent Schedule: \nFriday\, May 2nd\, 2025\n2:00 – 7:00 PM –  6-HR Race Packet Pickup @ The Coler Campground\n3:00 – 5:00 PM Kids MTB Camp hosted by Pedal Kids USA \n\nSign up for Level 2 Paw Riders Camp: Pedaling without training wheels\, on pavement\, and some very easy\, flat\, single-track.\nSign up for Level 3 Paw Riders Camp: Able to climb and descend paved and single track\, comfortable modulating speeds on descends.\n\n5:00 – 6:30 PM – Kids Race Presented by Pedal Kids USA (Ages 2 through 14) \nKids Activities Equipment Requirements: Bicycle in good working order\, a helmet\, small backpack\, water bottle\, snacks.\n6:45 PM – Kids Podium Celebration and  S’mores by the Campfire\, hosted by Coler Staff \nSaturday\, May 3rd\, 2025 Hot Lap and 6-HR Race\n10:15 AM – Hot Lap Race – one lap of the N2M course\n11:30 AM – Hot Lap Podiums\n11:50 AM – 6-HR Racer Meeting\nNoon – 6-HR Race Begins\n6:30 PM – 6-HR Podiums \n5$ discount will automatically be applied if you register for more than one category. Parents sign your kids up for camp and kids race to receive a 5$ discount! \nRace Rules: \n\nAll 6-hour racers will start the race at noon\, the cut-off time to finish your last lap will be 6 pm sharp. There will be no cut-off time to start a lap but if you are not back at 6 pm then that last lap does not count. It is up to teams and individual racers to decide on the timing of their last lap.\nTeam racers may ride as many laps consecutively as they wish; however\, each racer from a team must complete at least one lap during the 6-hour race.\nIf a member of a team has a mechanical issue or a crash that keeps them from completing the lap\, they may call to get another rider out on the course. The rider who is out must check in with the timing director to cancel the lap (do not bring the timing chip near timing sensors).\nBike changes are allowed between laps\, and no bans for a racer assisting another racer to fix a mechanical issue on the race course. Mechanical assistance from a non-racer may only be at the designated Coler mechanic pit tent area.\nAll racers waiting their turn must stay away from timing sensors\, to not “trip” their timing chip.\nA racer or team must report DNFs as soon as possible to the Timing Director.\nRace Results Contesting Period: 6:00-6:10 pm.\nAllow 15 minutes after the race for results to be finalized. Timing services are provided by Todd Galbraith with EnduraRace\nE-bike allowed  only for the single-lap option\n\nOnline Registration Deadline: Saturday\, May 3rd\, 2025\, at 8:00 AM CT\nParking at the preserve is limited\, parking will be on a first come first serve basis. It will be an adrenaline pumping mix of technical trails\, fast descents and an exclusive  race day only stage that will challenge even the most seasoned riders. \n  \n** Event Overview** \n\nTotal Laps – 10\nStages – 5\, with 2 laps per stage\nSpecial feature – 1 race day only stage to test your MTB handling skills\n\n  \n**Camping and Evening Activities** \nJoin us for a family-friendly night of camping on Saturday at the Lake Leatherwood Park group campsite. (For those that prefer less rustic accommodations\, you can contact the park directly and book a cabin for the night.) \nAfter an  exhilarating day spent pre-riding the course\, set up your tents and unwind under the stars. SUMMARY:Founder's Fest - Prairie Pedaler Bike Race
DESCRIPTION:The Prairie Peddler 50 is a 50-mile  road race celebrating the 50th birthday of the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie.  The race will depart and end at the Museum\, travel south in Hwy. 165 to DeWitt and return to Stuttgart the same way with one deviation.  The final leg will travel west on Lennox Rd. to Main St.\, going through Stuttgart’s Historic Downtown Commercial District before the last few blocks back to the Museum. \nFor those desiring a shorter route\, the Prairie Peddler 30 will travel the same route\, turning around at Lodge’s Corner. \nThe VIP (Very Important Peddler) Certificate will grant participants a burger and beverage (beer included) at the conclusion of the race.

If you’ve never done this race before and you’re not sure if you can complete a 110 mile RO3 route in less than 12 hours\, we strongly suggest that you choose the 50 mile option-it’s still a beast!\nFor the 110 miler\, we will have a time “check out” on course that you must pass by a certain time.  If you haven’t made the time cutoff you’ll need to call for someone for a ride or wait for our Broomwagon\, 37 North Expeditions\, to come pick you up.\nWe want you to stand up to the challenge but we must keep the safety of all our riders top priority.  We aim to have the last riders finish by 8pm.\n\n2.  200+ Mile Category:  \n\nBegin Friday\, May 16th and circumnavigate Beaver Lake\, hitting 4 different trail systems.  30 hr time cutoff.\nCompletely self-supported.  You will need to come prepared with everything you need to complete the race safely and successfully without support from Rule of Three or other people.  You’ll need to study the route\, find resupply stops (gas stations\, cafes\, etc.) for nutrition and bring a cell phone in case of emergency.\nYou’ll need to either own a SPOT or Garmin Inreach GPS device or rent one from Follow My Challenge.\nYou’ll need to complete your registration by signing up for tracking with Follow My Challenge.  Their fees are $30 for tracking (for those with their own devices) or $80 for those needing rental SPOT GPS devices and tracking.\nYou will receive an email with the link to register with Follow My Challenge after your Rule of Three registration.\nSolo or team of three.\n\nTeams \n110 and 50 mile 3 person teams take off (time trial style) in 1 minute increments. DESCRIPTION:​The Ride of Silence is an annual international cycling event that honors cyclists who have been injured or killed while riding on public roadways. Participants engage in a silent\, slow-paced ride—typically not exceeding 12 mph (20 km/h)—to raise awareness among motorists\, law enforcement\, and city officials about cyclists’ legal rights to share the road. ​ \nEstablished in 2003 by Chris Phelan in Dallas\, Texas\, the inaugural ride commemorated endurance cyclist Larry Schwartz\, who was fatally struck by a passing bus’s mirror. Although initially intended as a one-time event\, its poignant message resonated globally\, leading to its annual observance on the third Wednesday of May. By 2024\, the Ride of Silence had expanded to 239 locations worldwide\, encompassing 40 U.S. states\, 14 countries\, and 3 continents. \nParticipants are expected to wear helmets\, adhere to traffic laws\, and maintain silence throughout the ride\, fostering a solemn atmosphere of remembrance and advocacy. The event underscores the importance of sharing the road safely and respectfully among all users. ​

DESCRIPTION:A Delta Gravel Festival in Jonesboro\, Arkansas. \nThe Skirmish is more than just a cycling event\, it’s a celebration of the rugged beauty\, rich culture\, and tight-knit community of the Delta region. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to gravel cycling\, this festival offers something for everyone. The festival was created to embrace all aspects of gravel cycling with one main feature not found in the majority of gravel events; the tale of 2 rides. Riders will first traverse the rolling hills of Crowley’s Ridge\, similar to those found on the Ouachita and Ozark Mountain Regions.  Crowley’s Ridge is a 200-mile long ridge that was formed by wind\, water\, and ice over millions of years. It’s believed to have been an island between the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers that was isolated after the rivers changed course. \nAfter tackling Crowley’s Ridge\, riders will then experience the vast farmlands of the Delta (which supplies the nation with a bounty of food and feed to sustain our republic) during the final two thirds of the ride.  Riders will be treated to the wide-open flat farm roads of the region\, separated only by endless fields of crops\, to bring you home. Late May\, early June should see a tailwind blowing from the southwest to guide you home to the finish and a post-ride celebration in the historic downtown of Jonesboro\, Arkansas. \nThe name of the ride comes from a historical battle called “The Civil War Skirmish” which was fought in 1863. Jonesboro is located in the northeast part of Arkansas and has the perfect mix of a small town community atmosphere combined with a vibrant downtown\, world-class healthcare\, specialty manufacturing with world wide distribution as well as cutting edge technology companies and advanced-degree educational system. This offers athletes and their friends and family a perfect setting to come experience a true festival atmosphere over the three days of The Skirmish. \nOverall Event Schedule: \n\nThursday – Group rides\nFriday – Group rides\, vendor expo\, athlete meeting\, welcome party and free live music for everyone.\nSaturday –\n\nthe main event with four ride distances and a post-ride celebration.\nFriends and family will have plenty to do while their riders are out on course with kids and family activities at the finish line area. Saturday night will be a great time to explore what Jonesboro has to offer.\n\n\nSunday – a day to “relax” with a short ride on offer and then the final scheduled events of the festival. Participants and their traveling companions will be treated to a video and photo collage from the weekend. This visual wrap up will be immediately followed with an awards and prize giveaway ceremony to tie a bow on a great weekend of an all-things gravel experience.

SUMMARY:June Bug Jam
DESCRIPTION:On June 7\, 2025 we are hosting a music fundraiser ( the 28th Annual June Bug Jam) complete with live music\, childrens activities and games\, a treasure hunt\, nature walks and a series of guided mountain bike rides on the nearby Ozark National Forest Upper Buffalo Mountain Bike Trails. This year we will be offering food plates\, desserts and beverages and holding a silent fundraising auction with goods and services donated by local artists and businesses. We work closely with the Ozark OffRoad Cyclists (OORC)\, another local nonprofit group\, on events during the year and they are supporting this year’s JBJ by bringing out a smoker/cooker for meats\, supplying two longtime club members to volunteer operating the smoker and serving plates of food. The OORC is also donating various meats and sides for these meals.

DESCRIPTION:“Major Taylor 111 at the Port” is a cycling event created through a partnership of the Major Taylor Cycling Club of Little Rock (MTCCLR) and the local non-profit Recycle Bikes for Kids (RB4K). \nMT111 will become one of the most sought-after cycling events in the country. Supported by the Little Rock Port Authority\, local cyclists and bike enthusiasts from around the country will want to attend for the unique aspects of this ride with a Major Taylor flavor. \nOn June 7th\, starting at the Little Rock Port Authority headquarters\, participants will ride through the Port\, visit Wrightsville\, Redfield\, and continue to Pine Bluff. Riders then proceed to the Arkansas River crossing on Highway 79 and visit England\, Keo\, and Scott before returning to the Port.  The route is one hundred and eleven miles long with shorter options of 62 miles\, 50 miles\, and 25 miles.  There will also be a one-mile sprint segment honoring the race that made Marshall “Major” Taylor a world champion. Sprint through the one-mile Strava segment setup within the MT111 and compare your time to Major Taylor’s winning time at the 1899 World Track Championships of 1 minute\, 41 seconds. \nThis ride will benefit underserved communities. The Major Taylor Cycling Club members will visit schools\, educate students about bicycles\, distribute free bicycles from RB4K\, and hand out books about U.S. pro rider Marshall “Major” Taylor. This not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also provides a means to exercise for the youth in the state of Arkansas. \nIn addition\, this ride will allow RB4K and MTCCLR to purchase and install bicycle repair stations at the schools\, which helps the community where the bike stations are placed\, and helps the cycling community as a whole. SUMMARY:Big Dam Bridge Training Ride Program 2025
DESCRIPTION:Registration for the 2025 Big Dam Bridge Training Program Is Open.  \nThe program is free to participants who have registered for the event by midnight on June 13th. After June 14th\, there is a fee of $45 for the training program (with or without registering for the BDB100 ride). \nThe Big Dam Bridge Training Ride Program was developed to encourage more cyclists from Arkansas to register for and ride in the annual Big Dam Bridge cycling event. This program is part of a larger goal of encouraging individuals to connect with other cyclists\, clubs\, and bike shops. We hope to foster a spirit of community and help relieve concerns related to riding in a group.  Additionally\, this effort includes several Big Dam Bridge sponsor activations as well as other local events when appropriate. \nThe training rides will begin on June 14th and continue every other Saturday through September 20th. Each ride will start at 7:30am from Lost Forty Brewing (501 Byrd St\, Little Rock\, AR 72202) and will return to the same location upon completion.  See map LINK for more details on parking. \nRiders will be divided into groups based on experience and ability. These groups will accommodate any level of cyclist; from the absolute beginner who just recently purchased a bike\, an enthusiast who wants to increase his or her mileage and average speed\, as well as a seasoned cyclist who is aiming for their best time for the 105-mile route. \nOn June 11th\, we will host a Q&A session at Lost Forty Brewing (501 Byrd St\, Little Rock\, AR 72202) from 6pm to 7pm that will provide program details including mileage and pacing for each of these groups. It will prepare the participant to easily complete the 25-mile route of the BDB with a possible stretch to the 50-mile distance. \n“B” Riders – These riders have about 2-5 years of on-the-bike experience\,  regularly ride 2 to 3 times a week during the riding season (April-October)\, and supplement their fitness through other activities such as a gym membership or at-home trainer. The ride leaders for this group will focus on refining shifting and braking while introducing the basic concepts of pace line and cooperative group riding. \nThis group will be prepared to complete the 50-mile route faster than previous attempts and possibly stretch to the 75-mile route.  Nutrition strategy will also be discussed and refined throughout the 8 training rides. \n“A” Riders – These riders are already cycling enthusiasts who are looking to further improve their fitness and skills. This session will cover everything you need to get dialed in for years to come. It all comes down to the basics and having the ability to get multiple reps in our ground school environment is key. \nOur team of coaches will explain the rationale behind the technique\, demonstrate it\, then guide you through it. This instant feedback by coaches with years of real world riding and racing experience is instrumental in your growth during this session. \nTopics covered: \nClassroom \n– Basic Bike Setup \n– Body Positioning Overview \nTechnique \n– Body Positioning \n– Dynamic Braking \n– Intro to Cornering \nWe GUARANTEE a massive boost in confidence and fun on the trail! The best upgrade to ANY bike is a BETTER RIDER! \n  \nJUMP BASICS:  \nWe get it\, everyone wants to jump! However\, most people don’t embrace the technique AND psychology behind doing it well. You have to understand the what and why before you can start to build confidence with the how\, that’s what this session is for. Not only will you build a solid understanding of what NEEDS to happen\, you’ll also get plenty of reps working through the steps of how it needs to happen\, all in a safe and controlled environment. \nTopics Covered: \nRiders will get plenty of reps on multiple takeoffs/landings and Rich will work through multiple rounds of video so you can see exactly what’s working and what isn’t. \nJUMP PROGRESSION Session: Ground School and Skills Park Jumpline \nThis event is all about getting comfortable in the air. That starts with a solid understanding of what it takes to get into the air properly. It’s also critical to get as MANY reps as possible in a controlled environment and that’s what the TRS ground school setting gives you. \nOur Pro level coaches break down the dynamics involved with jumping a bike. Based on over 70 years experience\, they guide you through their real world experience and give you key insight and cues on what to do and also what not to do. \nAfter showcasing the proper technique\, you’ll work through a series of reps and the distance will incrementally increase as your comfort level increases. Analysis and feedback using slow motion video will have you “busting big” in no time. \nThere’s no substitute for experience when it comes to jumping a bike. The only problem is that experience in the right setting can be hard to come by. You’ll get tons reps on our jump lines and receive valuable feedback in the moment.\nRIDERS MUST HAVE:\n– Experience jumping\n– Full suspension bikes with suspension in working order\n– Full safety gear including pads (Full Face helmet not required\, but suggested) \nThis class is intended for riders with jump experience and will move at a specified pace. Coaching staff reserves the right to hold riders to pre determined distances based on performance. \nPlease reach out if you are unsure if this class is a proper fit for you. \nDROP PROGRESSION Session: Ground School and Skills Park drops \nThe Drop Progression session is designed to help riders overcome fear and build competence when tackling drops. Through a structured\, step-by-step approach\, participants learn essential techniques such as body positioning\, bike control\, and speed management. Starting with small\, manageable features\, the course gradually introduces more challenging drops\, ensuring riders develop the necessary skills and confidence to handle various trail scenarios. By focusing on progressive learning and practical application\, this course aims to transform apprehension into mastery\, enabling riders to navigate drops with assurance and control.

SUMMARY:NW Arkansas Bike Camping Trip with All Bodies on Bikes & All Bikes Welcome
DESCRIPTION:This 50.2 mile round trip adventure will be on a mix of rural paved roads\, gravel roads\, and US Forest Service Roads. We’ll be primitive camping at a USFS campsite\, which unfortunately means no running water or toilets. We will have a vehicle at camp with fresh water for drinking/cooking\, and provide toilet paper. \nRideWithGPS Route \nDay 1: 19.5 miles \nDay 2: 29.3 miles \nWe have 5 bikepacking setups to lend – please reach out if you’re in need of any equipment. \nPacking list and additional details to follow.
