SUMMARY:DeGray Lake Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:One of the original multisport festivals in Arkansas…the DeGray Lake Triathlon will feature three triathlon distances (olympic\, sprint and super sprint)\, a duathlon (sprint)\, aquabike (olympic) and an open water swim (olympic). There will be a team category for the olympic triathlon.  NEW CATEGORY:  COLLEGIATE SPRINT \nDeGray Lake is a reservoir on the Caddo River in Arkansas. This beautiful lake and surrounding Ouachita mountains near Hot Springs and Little Rock is an Arkansas resort state park. \n\nOlympic Triathlon: 1\,500 meter swim\, 40 kilometer bike\, 10 kilometer run.  Individuals and teams.\nSprint Triathlon: 500 yard swim\, 13.5 mile bike\, 5K run.  Individuals only\nCollegiate Sprint Triathlon: 500 yard swim\, 13.5 mile bike\, 5K run.  Collegiate athletes only\nSuper Sprint Triathlon: 225 yard swim\, 6 mile bike\, 2 mile run.  Individuals only\nSprint Duathlon: Run 1: 2 miles\, Bike: 13.5 miles  Run 2:  3.1 miles\nAquabike (swim and bike only): 1\,500 meter swim\, 42 kilometer bike.  Individuals only\nOpen Water Swim: 1\,500 meter swim\n\nRace Venue Information: \n\nDeGray Lake\,  AR located just outside of Caddo Valley\n2.5 miles North on Hwy 7 from Interstate 30\, exit 78.  Turn left onto Skyline Drive.\nSpillway Trail Head (The Spillway Dam Area) is rougly 8/10ths of a mile west of the intersection of Skyline Dr and Hwy 7.\nGoogle map coordinates – https://goo.gl/maps/Uz7c5ZuonT9pucF18\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEntry Fees Priced With Custom Socks\n\nEntry Fees are priced with custom socks \, but a participant has the option to select no socks and SAVE $5. Participant can also upgrade to a ringspun cotton tshirt for $10\, or upgrade fabric to a full sublimated technical wicking fabric shirt for $20. All shirt sizes are not guaranteed after Aug 24. If a shirt is ordered and the size is not available then a refund will be issued at packet pickup. \nRace Apparel Options and Styles: \n\nNO Socks Option – Save $5\nRingspun Cotton T-shirt ($10 upgrade fee) – unisex sizing\nFully Sublimated Technical T-shirt ($20 upgrade fee) – Both men and women specific sizing. A true moisture wicking-fabric shirt that has been engineered to keep you dry while you exercise. SUMMARY:OZ Mile Swim
DESCRIPTION:OZ Mile Swim is for ALL swimmers! Elite\, experienced\, novice\, beginner – ALL! \nThe OZ Mile Swim is an open water race that offers participants and spectators a full weekend in Northwest Arkansas with festivities centered around swimming.  This will be a great weekend in the heart of the Ozark on beautiful Beaver Lake with fun for the entire family! \nBonnie Adams\, founder of SWIM OZ\, created this race because she wanted to showcase the natural beauty of the Ozark region and offer an opportunity for her clients and team to be able to compete locally. There are so many amazing things that this area offers athletes\, and it is time to put us on the map for swimming events as well. There is a very eclectic swimming population here in Northwest Arkansas. A lot of former Division 1 swimmers\, Ironman triathletes\, recreational swimmers\, high school state champions\, para-athletes\, and special Olympic athletes all reside here. The 1-mile swim offers ALL of them the opportunity to participate. Adams had this to say regarding the event\, “The diversity of our participants is awesome – so glad we have a grass roots start to an inclusive event. When we sat down to create this event\, we wanted something for everyone. We also wanted this to be a race that the spectators would want to attend.”   The course is a triangle shape with complete viewing for the spectators to see their swimmer the entire race. \nWe want to build community around swimming.
