We will be holding are race in Western Hills Park\, a relatively flat course with very few rocks and roots. That makes this race the perfect adventure for your first trail run. \nIf you ask most people in Little Rock where they run\, a large majority will say\, “The River Trail.” This trail that we love so much\, is one of the many parks and trails maintained by Little Rock Parks and Rec. 100% of the proceeds of The Big (Trail) Run go to Little Rock Parks and Rec. SUMMARY:World Championship Running of the Tubs
DESCRIPTION:For over a century\, visitors from all over the world have flocked to Hot Springs National Park\, Arkansas to bathe in our thermal waters. But what happens when you take a bathtub and put it on wheels? The Stueart Pennington World Championship Running of the Tubs\, that’s what happens! This chaotic celebration of Hot Springs’ spa history is a town favorite! \nTo celebrate Hot Springs’ classic motto “We Bathe the World” teams from all over get their best bathtubs all dolled up to bring to Hot Springs. But whose tub has the stuff? Four team members (the bath attendants) must push their bathtubs through the heart of the city\, the Historic Bathhouse Row\, while the team captain sits in the bathtub and steers. Throughout the course\, teams will face various obstacles along the way\, while dressed in elaborate costumes in hopes to become The World Champion Tub Runners – a sought out title\, obviously. \nThe bathtub must be full of water at the start of the race and have at least 10 gallons of water left in the tub at the finish line. If that isn’t hard enough\, each bath attendant must carry one of 4 items (bar of soap\, bath mat\, loofah mitt\, and bath towel) throughout the entire race and present all items at the end of the race. Here’s a fun twist\, the judges (sporting bathrobes and clipboards) are encouraged to make up new rules on the spot! Keeping everybody on their toes! \nBut don’t worry\, everybody gets to be a part of the fun. The crowd always comes prepared to spray competitors with water throughout the entire race\, in hopes to slow down\, distract\, or just annoy racers. \nParticipants can choose to compete in three different divisions: traditional (cast-iron tubs)\, modified (fiberglass/plastic tubs)\, or stock (reserved for nonprofits tubs are provided) Each tub and team must meet the qualifications to compete. \nIf that’s not convincing enough\, just wait until you see the annual Battle of the Badge: Hot Springs Police Department vs. Hot Springs Fire Department. Trust us\, they take this very seriously. On Saturday\, June 7\, 2025\, in partnership with the Delta Presents Outreach Foundation\, we will host the 2nd Annual Live Well 5K Run/Walk: A Physical and Mental Health Movement. The Live Well 5K Run/Walk is an opportunity to bring the community together for the purpose of promoting physical and mental health/wellness. Research has shown that running and walking have a positive impact on mental health like better sleep\, stress reliever\, improved self-esteem\, sharper focus\, and improved memory.\nYour support will assist us in our efforts to provide scholarship incentives for high school students interested in furthering their education as well as support overall mental health/wellness in our chapter and community. The Live Well 5K Run/Walk is a family-friendly community run/walk for men\, women\, and children. Runners\, joggers\, and walkers are encouraged to come out and enjoy a healthy\, fun-filled event while supporting a worthy cause. \nCOURSE: \nRACE DISTANCE: 5K (3.1 miles) \nTIME LIMIT:  1 hour and 45 minutes. DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual Juneteenth 5K run/walk is an opportunity for participants to support the mission of the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center as well as to see many of the city’s African American historical sites including Arkansas Baptist College\, Little Rock Central High School and Philander Smith College. Runners will also pass the home of Mifflin Gibbs\, first elected black judge in the country and among other sites. Finish your day of celebrating freedom by joining MTCC for our annual Juneteenth celebration on historic West 9th Street.

DESCRIPTION:The Rat Race was started in honor of US Navy SEAL Tom Ratzlaff of Green Forest\, AR. This event remembers the 31 heroes lost on 8-6-2011 during Extortion 17. \nRace will start and end at Green Forest School in Green Forest\, Arkansas. \nRunners must check in from 7:00am to 7:45 A.M. Opening Ceremony at 7:45. Race will start at 8:06 A.M. \nAlthough this is a 5k\, if running is not your thing\, you are more than welcome to complete the race at any pace comfortable to you. For the competitive runners\, Awards to the Top 3 Male and Females. Certificates to the following age groups: 1-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70 and up. \nCost is $30.00 per entry. \nSign up a team of 4 or more and receive a $10 discount on your registration. \nProceeds from this race will benefit the Ratzlaff Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Good Grief Programs in area schools. \nThis is a fund raiser for a non-profit organization\, no refunds will be given for cancelation due to weather.

DESCRIPTION:4th annual! Very unofficial/FREE/non-sanctioned. Run at your own risk. No or little markings. Maybe medals. No swag. No glory. No one cares. Definitely heat. Definitely regret. Backyard party at the finish.\n\nMix surface course primarily trail\, including Centennial\, Markham and Kessler. You will cover most of the Fayetteville Traverse and then some. Leave the big lugs at home\, because this course is going to be about 1/3rd pavement. Perfect party run to train for upcoming races or just to have a terrible time.\n\nRoughly 20 miles. Unofficially you can end at smokehouse (13 miles) or start at smokehouse (7 miles)\, but this requires you to shuttle.\nBasic aid stations and water drops. You’ll need at least 1 bottle\, if not two.\n\nIf you want in\, you MUST sign up as “going”. Final details and specifics will only be given to those that are registered.
