DESCRIPTION:Thanksgiving Day\, November 24th\, 2021    Go! Time: 8:00am  (Tom’s Tiny Trot : 7:50am) \nA Thanksgiving Day Tradition.   For 12 years\, Go! Running hosted the Gobbler Turkey Trot in Little Rock\, and we are happy to announce that Rock City Running will carry on this great tradition. \nThis 3\, 4\, or 6.5 mile family fun run and walk has grown into the undisputed way to begin Thanksgiving Day for thousands of families. This free family run only has one entry fee: canned good and non-perishable food items or money donations to the Arkansas Foodbank. Each year this event attracts more than 2\,000 people and collects enough food and donations to feed over 20\,000 meals. \nAs Always a FREE family run – simply bring a canned food or cash donation for the Arkansas Foodbank. Register to run and to be eligible for Prizes (to be announced).  Due to the costs we incur to put on this ever growing fun run\, we ask for an small donation that can be made during registration to offset the cost of additional expenses (like porta-potties\, Insurance\, Police support\, ambulance\, water stops\, and course markings). \nIf you’d like to donate food but cannot make it to the run on Thanksgiving day\, The Little Rock Athletic Clubs have collection stations in their lobby. Swing by to drop off food up to 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. \nTom’s Tiny Trot!   A short fun run for our little runners and walkers\, ages 0 to 8\, who might not be able to take on the Gobbler routes. It’s a quick run around a closed course in the parking lot that starts and finishes under the same huge arch as the main event!  This event starts BEFORE the main run\, so the kids can have lots of people cheering them on!  Kids must be accompanied to the start by a parent or guardian\, but you don’t have to run with them on this spectator friendly course.  Just get them to the start and cheer them across the finish line!  You won’t want to miss this! \nT-Shirts! We’ll let you know soon about shirts. \nSANTA will be there run morning to collect your canned goods\, non-perishable food items\, and cash donations as your entry fee into The Gobbler Turkey Trot.  Get a picture with him\, and it’s a good chance to tell him how good you’ve been all year! \nThe Courses:  Three fun courses that will cover many aspects of running such as road\, track\, trails\, and other “surprises” that makes it a tour of beautiful Hillcrest and The Heights.  The race starts and finishes at Tipton Hurst / Sissy’s Log Cabin.  Please note\, there will be very limited traffic control on these courses and runners are responsible their own safety when crossing roads. Therefore a reminder. This is NOT A RACE so take your time and enjoy a fun morning run. \nThe courses are 3 miles\, 4 miles\, and 6.5 miles. The 4 and 6.5 mile options ARE NOT stroller friendly\, due to the technical single track trail.  One water stop will be on the course. Running hosted the Gobbler Turkey Trot in Little Rock\, and we are happy to announce that Rock City Running will carry on this great tradition. \nThis 3\, 4\, or 6.5 mile family fun run and walk has grown into the undisputed way to begin Thanksgiving Day for thousands of families. This free family run only has one entry fee: canned good and non-perishable food items or money donations to the Arkansas Foodbank. Each year this event attracts more than 2\,000 people and collects enough food and donations to feed over 20\,000 meals. \nAs Always a FREE family run – simply bring a canned food or cash donation for the Arkansas Foodbank. Register to run and to be eligible for Prizes (to be announced).  Due to the costs we incur to put on this ever growing fun run\, we ask for an small donation that can be made during registration to offset the cost of additional expenses (like porta-potties\, Insurance\, Police support\, ambulance\, water stops\, and course markings). \nIf you’d like to donate food but cannot make it to the run on Thanksgiving day\, The Little Rock Athletic Clubs have collection stations in their lobby. Swing by to drop off food up to 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. \nTom’s Tiny Trot!   A short fun run for our little runners and walkers\, ages 0 to 8\, who might not be able to take on the Gobbler routes. It’s a quick run around a closed course in the parking lot that starts and finishes under the same huge arch as the main event!  This event starts BEFORE the main run\, so the kids can have lots of people cheering them on!  Kids must be accompanied to the start by a parent or guardian\, but you don’t have to run with them on this spectator friendly course.  Just get them to the start and cheer them across the finish line!  You won’t want to miss this! \nT-Shirts! We’ll let you know soon about shirts. \nSANTA will be there run morning to collect your canned goods\, non-perishable food items\, and cash donations as your entry fee into The Gobbler Turkey Trot.  Get a picture with him\, and it’s a good chance to tell him how good you’ve been all year! \nThe Courses:  Three fun courses that will cover many aspects of running such as road\, track\, trails\, and other “surprises” that makes it a tour of beautiful Hillcrest and The Heights.  The race starts and finishes at Tipton Hurst / Sissy’s Log Cabin.  Please note\, there will be very limited traffic control on these courses and runners are responsible their own safety when crossing roads. Therefore a reminder. This is NOT A RACE so take your time and enjoy a fun morning run. \nThe courses are 3 miles\, 4 miles\, and 6.5 miles. Failure to do so may result in some bad karma!\n \nWe are planning to chip time all three races.  All chips must be returned when you are finished.\n \n(You may run\, walk\, hop\, skip\, jump\, or crawl for as long as you want within the time limit\, and stop whenever you have had enough fun.) \nLocation\nSunset Lake\, Benton   (see directions &  and parking info below) \nTimes\nThe 24 hour run will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday\, November 24.\nThe 6 and 12 hour runs will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday\, November 25. \nCheck-in will start 45 minutes prior to the start time of the event you are running. \nCourse \nThe course will follow a one-mile paved loop around Sunset Lake\n(The certification has expired but the certified distance was 1.015 miles and the course is unchanged.)\nThere will lighting on part of the trail loop after dark\nbut it is recommended that the 24 hour runners bring a flashlight or headlamp\nunless they are comfortable running/walking in the dark. \nEntry Fee\nNone –  Donations will be gladly accepted to help offset costs which include $290 pavilion rental plus food and drink. Failure to do so may result in some bad karma!\n \nWe are planning to chip time all three races.  All chips must be returned when you are finished.\n \n(You may run\, walk\, hop\, skip\, jump\, or crawl for as long as you want within the time limit\, and stop whenever you have had enough fun.) \nLocation\nSunset Lake\, Benton   (see directions &  and parking info below) \nTimes\nThe 24 hour run will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday\, November 24.\nThe 6 and 12 hour runs will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday\, November 25. \nCheck-in will start 45 minutes prior to the start time of the event you are running. \nCourse \nThe course will follow a one-mile paved loop around Sunset Lake\n(The certification has expired but the certified distance was 1.015 miles and the course is unchanged.)\nThere will lighting on part of the trail loop after dark\nbut it is recommended that the 24 hour runners bring a flashlight or headlamp\nunless they are comfortable running/walking in the dark. \nEntry Fee\nNone –  Donations will be gladly accepted to help offset costs which include $290 pavilion rental plus food and drink. You can donate the day of the race or donate in advance via Venmo @salinestriders.\n \nPlease register in advance so we will have an idea of the number of people to prepare for and minimize race day computer entry as well as making it easier for the volunteers\, especially Saturday morning since the 24 hour race will be going on during check-in for the 6 and 12 hour races. \nGranted\, if you pre-register and do not come\, you will be out the entry fee\, but since the fee is $0 you are only out the two minutes it takes to cancel!   We encourage online registration which will actually be faster and better than using the form\, but we have a link below to the print form.  If you have registered and will not be coming you can let us know online\, preferably by e-mail.\n \nEntrants will receive a confirmation e-mail a few days before the race with further details and any additional pertinent information. \nThere will be a waiver for all participants to sign on race day.

DESCRIPTION:Come on out to FSBC on Saturday November 25\, 2023 at 11 a.m. for our sixth annual “Turkey Wobble Walk and Ride” (this year). Participants over the age of 21 will drink their first beer/wine then walk to all other participating businesses where they will have more beer/wine/liquor at each location.  This year we will have a party bus available for tours of another local Brewery located 15 min away in beautiful Van Buren\, Pointer Brewery.  This event is for everyone so bring the family out to participate. Under 21 years of age\, we will have other refreshments available. What a great way to work off those extra calories left over from Thanksgiving and spend a nice day with friends and family!  There is a new alcohol manufacturer in the area you will not want to miss. Cost will be $40 for t-shirt and alcoholic beverage at each location.  We love to promote physical\, mental and social health so come join us for a fun event. $25/ticket for underage and they receive a T-shirt and refreshments.

DESCRIPTION:Registration will be set up 500 ft down OLD HWY 270. Parking will be at that location and along the road. \n\nThe course will be on the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail\, a single track foot path.
