DESCRIPTION:Aid Stations\, Restrooms\, and Medical Support \nThere are 10 aid stations that average nearly every mile. There are numerous restrooms\, including permanent restrooms on the River Trail and portable ones that we will place on the course. Medical personnel will be on duty at the Start/Finish and on the course. A clothing drop will be at Mile 2\, where you may leave any clothing to be delivered to the finish line. \n Awards \nAwards will go to the top three males and females overall and masters and to the top three males and females in five-year age groups starting with 19 and under through 75+. \nThe awards ceremony will be held at 12 p.m. for the overall winners. Following the ceremony\, age group awards may be picked up at the information booth as soon as the results in that age group have been verified and finalized by the timing company. Early starters may not pick up awards until their age groups have been verified and all regular starters in their age group have finished. \nCourse \nThe course is almost entirely on the Arkansas River Trail and is a 19-mile loop to the east and then a 7-mile loop to the west. The course crosses the Big Dam Bridge at Miles 1 and 18\, the Clinton Presidential Bridge at Mile 9\, and the Two Rivers Bridge at Miles 19 and 26. The course crosses the Start/Finish line going west at 19 miles. The course is mostly flat\, except for the three bridges. The course is mostly paved trail. The course is USATF certified as AR13030DLP. See the Course tab for more detail. \nAll miles are clearly marked. A trash box will be placed at every mile. Make sure tags are securely fastened with the zip tie included in your race bag. We discourage placing valuables in drop bags. \nThe drop bag area is a U-Haul parked at the Start/Finish line area near where you will be dropped off by the 3 Bridges Marathon trolley. It will be December in Arkansas\, so it could be 20 degrees or 70 degrees and may change that much overnight. Bring plenty of warm clothes for after the race. If you did not indicate so with your online registration\, email your request to info@3bridgesmarathon.com with the email subject EARLY START.   You may not take the early start option unless you have registered online with your normal race registration or received an email confirmation of your post-registration email request. Runners starting early without having registered to do so are subject to disqualification. If you are unsure\, confirm at packet pickup that you are on the registered early start list. \nSee the Parking instructions for early starters. SUMMARY:2nd Annual Central Arkansas' Last Chance Run
DESCRIPTION:Please join local running clubs including the Arkansas Running Klub\, Cabot Country Cruisers\, Conway Running Club\, Little Rock Roadrunners\, Saline County Striders and the Spa Pacers on Saturday\, December 30th at 9 AM for the 2nd Annual Central Arkansas’ Last Chance Run!  This FREE run will take place at War Memorial Park and anyone is welcome to participate! We will meet in the parking lot west of the roundabout at Fair Park Blvd and Zoo Dr.  There is limited parking within the park\, but there is plenty of overflow parking at the nearby War Memorial Stadium. \nThere will be 2.5 mile marked loop around the park that participants will be welcome to run or walk as many times as they would like!   There will also be a 1/2 mile kids run at 8:40 AM. \nDrinks and snacks will be provided after the run in a covered pavilion and there will be a number of door prizes to be given away to registered participants that are in attendance.  Many of the participating running clubs and sponsors will have tables and tents set up so you can get in your miles with old friends\, and then hang out out afterwards to make some new ones! \nWe will also be taking donations of canned food and non-perishable food items for the Arkansas Foodbank.  Donations are not required\, but are encouraged.  The participating running clubs will once again have a friendly competition to win the Last Chance Run Cup.  See more information below. \nThank you to our sponsors and friends that have helped to make this event possible: Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix\, Blue Rose Physical Therapy\, Garner Timing Services\, Little Rock Parks & Recreation and Rock City Running.  Special thanks to Little Rock Parks & Recreation for once again allowing us to use War Memorial Park for the event! \nPlease note that this is a “rain or shine” event with exception for unsafe inclement weather (e.g. lightning). Those who choose to participate should recognize that the suggested route will be open to the public and part of the loop will involve running along a sidewalk of a city street with vehicular traffic. Each individual is encouraged to use appropriate caution and is responsible for his or her own safety.  Additionally\, if runners choose to run outside the designated loop they need to do so at their own discretion\, as the streets around the park will be open to the public. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Last Chance Cup – Benefiting Arkansas Food Bank\n\nCurrently 1 in 6 Arkansans struggle to provide enough food for their family\, and 1 in 5 children in Arkansas are at risk for going hungry.  As the largest hunger-relief organization in the state\, The Arkansas Foodbank is the foundation in the fight against hunger. They find pathways to connect people\, resources and food to reach those in need\, providing dignity\, hope and a brighter future for all Arkansans. \nWe will once again be having a friendly competition for the Last Chance Run Cup that will culminate at midnight on December 31\, 2023.  The winning club will be determined based on the number of meals provided per club member.   Every $1 donated is equal to 5 meals\, while 1.2 lbs of food is equal to 1 meal.  The Arkansas Foodbank will be at the event taking donations of canned food and non-perishable food items.  Last year the event raised over $10\,000 in donations and 1\,328 lbs of food were collected on the day of the event.  As a result more than 55\,000 meals were able to be provided to Arkansans because of the generosity of our running community.  Let’s try to top that this year! \nDonations are not required\, but are encouraged.  If you are part of a club please make any cash donations by clicking on the club name below.  If you aren’t part of a running club\, but wish to make a donation\, you can either donate on behalf of a club of your choice or visit www.arkansasfoodbank.org. \nArk Running Klub\nCabot Country Cruisers\nConway Running Club\nLittle Rock Roadrunners\nSaline County Striders\nSpa Pacers

SUMMARY:Village Creek 10K/25K Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to year 11! \nVillage Creek the Legend! Lace ‘em up tight! Like we always say\, “Mud\, Sweat\, and Tears!” That’s what you will find here at Village Creek State Park. The 31st and 2nd largest in Arkansas. Located just 6 miles south of Wynne\, Village Creek State Park encompasses nearly 7\,000 acres. We have an amazing multi-use trail system that is virtually untouched by the running community most of the year. Equestrian\, Mountain Bike\, and Hiking Trails combine to form a little over 26 miles of manicured sweetness atop the geologic anomaly know as Crowley’s Ridge. \nOur race features a multitude of ups and downs\, both physically and emotionally! Your day will consist of creeks\, mud\, leaves\, sticks\, steep ridgelines\, and our infamous rolling pipeline. All the while a tub of buttercream icing and warm homemade cinnamon rolls wait for you at the finish. \nThe start/finish sits at the edge of our lower campground and boasts some of the most pristine bath houses of any state park! You can camp so close to the start line that all ya gotta do is roll over toot\, tinkle\, brush\, and run! If cabins are more your thing\, no fear! Village Creek has a number of 5 star cabins available just up the hill towards Lake Dunn. \nThe 25k has a 6 hour time limit. You have approximately 3hr and 15min to make it to our bib check at the 25k turn around. If you have not checked out of the turn around by the 3:15 mark chances are you aren’t gonna get a cinnamon roll….I kid\, I kid! You just won’t get a hot one! \nThe 25K is an out and back route starting at the bicycle entrance to the following markers 13\,14\,15\,16\,17\,18\, north past 19 towards 20 where you will reach the turnaround. Aid stations will be at approximate half way points for both races. This is a cup free race! Bring your own bottles! The 10k is an out and back\, also will follow markers 13\,14\,15\,16\, turnaround go back to finish.
