We’ve had sunny skies\, rain\, fog\, and sometimes all during the same event. Snow is possible\, but not anticipated. \nBe prepared to face all that the weather can throw at you! \nWill I be running in the dark? \nYes.  You should bring a light source and back up batteries.  At this time of year\, the average sunrise is 6:45 AM and the average sunset is 6:00 PM. \nWhat do I need to bring? \nAt very minimum\, all racers will be required to carry a water bottle or hydration pack AND a light (flashlight or headlamp) at dark. Due to the remote nature of parts of the trail\, runners will not be allowed on the course without a way to carry water. We strongly suggest you carry a backup light with you at all times.  If you’re wondering about additional gear\, check out this video from Runner’s World. A cell phone is recommended and and service is good on the majority of the course. \nHow tough is the course? \nTerrain = very hilly\, total climb between 100 and 200 feet per mile (5\,000 – 8\,000 feet in 50 miles)\nSurface = trail or dirt road with substantial rocks\, roots and/or ruts

SUMMARY:One Hour Track Run
DESCRIPTION:New Date!\nRace hosted by the River Valley Runners\n•Kicks off the 2025 Grand Prix Season!\n•Run on a standard 400 meter track\n•Grand Prix Championship Event\n•Two separate heats to decrease track congestion\n\n\nDay of race registration: $35.00\n\n\nChili and all the fixin’s will be provided\n\n\nThe first One Hour Track Run was held in 1983 as part of Grand Prix II. This run took place in Russellville at the Arkansas Tech University track. The One Hour Track Run was eliminated after one year as the Grand Prix was trimmed to a core of four races for most of the 1980’s. Later incarnations of a One Hour Track Run were located in El Dorado and later Camden\, Arkansas\, and were a Grand Prix staple in the 1990’s. After 1998\, the One Hour Track Run ceased to be run until the Long Distance Running Committee decided to revive it as part of the 25th Running of the Grand Prix in 2006. Fittingly\, the One Hour Track Run returned to Russellville for Grand Prix XXV\, and was held at the Russellville High School Track. \nThe course is a standard\, 400 meter track. Very Flat! Aid stations every 1/4 mile! \nONE HOUR TRACK RUN WILL BE AT Russellville High School\, Russellville\,AR 72802 \nENHANCED SECURITY FROM RPD WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE RACE AND IN THE PARKING LOTS

SUMMARY:Run Rare 5k
DESCRIPTION:RUN RARE: The Rarety 5K is more than just a race… it’s a movement. A celebration. A call to action. It’s a heartfelt and high-energy event powered by Rarety\, a nonprofit organization founded by Taylor\, a Class of 2026 student who has been bravely battling a rare disease for years. \nThis 5K honors the often unseen\, unheard\, and misunderstood voices of rare warriors around the world…especially young people like Taylor\, whose personal journey with a rare condition became the heartbeat of this event. Taylor’s story of strength\, perseverance\, and faith is a testament to what it means to keep showing up\, to keep fighting\, and to never let a diagnosis define your destiny. \nRUN RARE invites people of all ages\, abilities\, and backgrounds to walk\, run\, or roll in solidarity with the rare disease community. Whether you’re lacing up in memory of someone you love\, standing beside a warrior in your life\, or showing support from across the country in our virtual option…your steps help amplify a message that is too often overlooked: \nBeing different is powerful!!!! And every rare story deserves to be seen\, heard\, and celebrated!!!

SUMMARY:Styx & Stones Trail Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Join us this spring at Devil’s Den State Park\, an Arkansas icon nestled in the Lee Creek Valley\, for the Styx & Stones Trail Races. Both the Full and Half Marathon race distances will explore the beautiful new Monument Trail system\, Butterfield Hiking Trail\, Devil’s Den’s unique rock formations and rock gardens\, and given the time of year you may experience running under a seasonal waterfall! The longer the distance\, the greater the rewards\, including creek crossings\, big climbs\, and more remote technical running that Styx & Stones is so well known for. This year\, the event will be free\, but we ask that you make a minimum donation of $20 to cover our costs and support the benefiting groups. This is a graduate level trail marathon with significantly challenging and technical terrain. Please be prepared or consider the Half Marathon if you are not an experienced trail runner. \nEvent Background: \nFrom it’s inception with Mark Den Herder as RD\, Styx & Stones has been about celebrating the trail community and giving back; donating 100% of any race proceeds to support the West Fork XC team. We will continue to honor and expand that tradition in 2024. With the help of our sponsors and your donations\, our goal is that 100% will be donated to support the West Fork XC teams\, Friends of Devil’s Den\, and Ozark Offroad Cyclists\, who build and maintain most of our Ozark trails.

SUMMARY:Ouachita Trail 50
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 35th running of the Ouachita Trail 50 Endurance Run! \nWe are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  All donations and profits for this event will go to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. \nThe OT50 was started by a group of early Arkansas ultra runners who came together\, drew from their various ultra race experiences\, and committed to putting on a quality fifty miler in Arkansas. As the oldest enduring Arkansas Ultra Running Association event\, that intent lives on. The 50 mile and 50 km runs feature a picturesque climb over Pinnacle Mountain followed by an out-and-back traversing the rolling hills along the north shore of beautiful Lake Maumelle. Get ready for scenic\, rocky\, single-track as you tour Pinnacle Mountain State Park and the eastern part of the 222 mile Ouachita National Recreation Trail. \nProceeds benefit Pinnacle Mountain State Park \nGeneral Information: \nLocation: Maumelle Park\, Little Rock\, Arkansas\, Pavilion # 8 \nStarting Time: 6:00 AM for 50 Mile and 50 Km. Runners must check in at the pavilion a minimum of 30 minutes before the start time. \nPackets: Race packets may be picked up on Friday\, April 17th from 3pm-6pm at Fleet Feet Little Rock – 11525 Cantrell Rd #102\, Little Rock\, AR or at Pavilion #8 on race morning.  FOR SAFETY REASONS\, BIBS & TIMING CHIPS WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL RACE MORNING. \nCourse Description: Starting and ending with two miles of pavement between Maumelle Park and the eastern Ouachita Trail terminus at Pinnacle Mountain State Park\, the course features a picturesque climb over and around Pinnacle Mountain followed by an out-and-back along the shore of Lake Maumelle on the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. Most of the Ouachita Trail is a scenic\, rocky\, single-track foot path. The trail is permanently marked with blue blazes. Turns are marked with two blue blazes. Additional markers (blue and white striped ribbon) will also mark the course. The Pinnacle Mountain trails and loop are utilized on the “out” portion only. 50K participants will be diverted off of the OT around the 16 mile point and will follow a different approach to the Northshore Aid Station. The course involves several highway crossings\, and there will likely be no traffic control. Please be responsible and be careful! NOTE: If conditions are wet\, the course may be rerouted to avoid the top of Pinnacle Mountain. This is due to safety concerns and is mandated by the state park. \nAid: Eleven staffed aid stations for 50-mile; seven for 50Km. (See mileage/aid station chart) Carrying at least one fluid bottle is HIGHLY advised. Aid station fare includes water\, Gatorade\, soft drinks\, chips\, cookies\, crackers\, candy\, peanuts\, various sandwiches\, bananas\, oranges and whatever creative items our amazing aid captains come up with.  They put out a very nice spread! No Advil\, Aspirin\, or other pain relievers will be supplied at aid stations.\n \nCrew access: Crews can meet runners at East Pinnacle Parking Lot\, West Summit Trailhead\, Northshore\, and the Hwy 10 turnaround only. \nDrop Bags: Drop bags will be taken to the Northshore and Hwy 10 (50 mile only) aid stations. Please label drop bags with these names\, your name and bib number to avoid confusion. Bags can be dropped off during race check-in. We will try to return bags to the finish area as soon as possible. Please pick up drop bags after the race or make arrangements for them\, as they will not be mailed back to you. \nCut-off Times: There is a 13-hour time limit for the 50 Miler\, and 7:00 PM cut-off for both races. These cut off times will be strictly enforced. \nRace Shirts: You will have the option of choosing a Women’s or Men’s fit race shirt.  However\, you must register by March 11th to guarantee your shirt size.  If you register after that date you may be given a shirt from the prior year. \nAwards: Finishing awards will be awarded to each 50K and 50 Mile finisher. Your cooperation will help us achieve this. If overflow parking is required\, please use the parking lot for the pavilions just inside Maumelle Park (see map in the runner packet). It is critical that you DO NOT park along Pinnacle Valley Road. \nRace Director: Stacey Shaver\, email (preferred) OT50@Runarkansas.com

SUMMARY:OUTLAST
DESCRIPTION:OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour\, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early\, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap\, and you’re out. \nComplete all six rounds\, and you OUTLAST. \nThis isn’t just about speed — it’s about pacing\, discipline\, and mental grit. Whether you’re trying to survive all six or win your division\, the challenge is the same: show up each hour\, push your limits\, and stay in it. \nEach course is trail-based\, with natural terrain\, elevation\, and unpredictable conditions. You’ll have time between rounds to recover\, refuel\, and refocus — but not much. \n  \nWhat You Earn: \n4 laps = Bronze “Grit Earned” leather patch\n5 laps = Silver “Survivor” leather patch\n6 laps = Premium “OUTLAST” wooden medal\n\nAll participants receive an OUTLAST Tee & Sticker. \nTop male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. \nFinishers are ranked on the national leaderboard—and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events will be crowned National Champion and take home $1\,000. \nThe 1st Place Male and Female 6-hour champions from each city will earn a spot in the Outlast Championship\, where they’ll compete against the best of the best at the end of the Tour\, and the 1st place male and female winners take home $1000 each. (This is separate from the national leaderboard prize money.) \nBy the end of the tour\, the top 100 best times nationally will be invited to also compete in the Outlast Championship. \n  \nFrequently Asked Questions: \nDo I have to run all 6 laps?\nNope. Run as many as you can. If you complete 4 or 5\, you’ll still earn a patch. Only those who finish all 6 get the OUTLAST medal and leaderboard ranking. \nWhat happens if I don’t finish a lap in time?\nYou’re out. The next lap starts at the top of the next hour\, and only those who completed the last lap on time can continue. \nHow is the race timed?\nEach 5K is timed individually. If you complete all 6\, your combined time counts toward the local win and national leaderboard. \nAre these trail races or road?\nEvery OUTLAST race is on trail terrain — dirt\, rocks\, roots\, and elevation. Sometimes some pavement and gravel. \nCan I walk?\nYes\, as long as you finish the 5K within the hour. But some courses are rugged\, and time can sneak up on you. \nAre there aid stations?\nYes. There will be water\, basic hydration\, and snacks at the basecamp/loop start. This is a cupless event — bring your own bottle or hydration system. \nWhat should I bring?\nTrail shoes\, hydration system\, layers (weather dependent)\, fuel between laps\, and grit. \nCan I setup a tent?\nAbsolutely\, bring your own aid station/tent setup. \nIs OUTLAST for beginners?\nYes — if you’re mentally tough. You don’t need to be fast\, just consistent and ready to suffer a little. \nHow do I win?\nIf you finish all 6 laps and have the fastest combined time\, you win your division (male/female). Winners are also added to the national leaderboard for a shot at the $1\,000 national prize & title.
