SUMMARY:Beast of Burden
DESCRIPTION:Ozark Off-Road Cyclists and the Ozark Trail Runners unite to create the most epic 24 (25) hour party you’ve ever experienced. Profits from this “race” will go to continued preservation and trail development on Mt. Kessler. Join us on October 31 at Mt. Kessler – Fayetteville\, Arkansas for a full day of partying in the dirt. Individuals or teams will take on the challenge to ride or run from 12pm on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday\, and thanks to daylight savings time\, you get an extra hour for free! \nThe “Race” – 24 (+ 1 hour for free) hours of either mtb or trail running madness\, or….BOTH! The team/solo individual in each category with the most laps wins. \nThe Course – The course will be comprised of 2 separate loops\, with bikers and runners rotating loops every 6 hours. Runners and riders will be on their own separate loops to minimize congestion. Each loop is roughly 4-6 miles long. One loop is easy\, one loop will have you dreaming  of the cozy warmth of the campfire. \nThe Teams* – Teams must have a team captain (primary contact). Teams are either fully bike or fully run\, or dual sport and comprised of 2-4 participants on the Ultra team or 5-7 participants on the Endurance team (dual sport teams can have up to 8). You choose how much you want to work. Go for the win\, or occasionally exert yourself and spend the rest of the time throwing back Fossil Cove’s tasty beverages. 1 person does 90% of the work or split it evenly. It’s up to you! Each team will receive one timing chip (triathlon style band) that can only be exchanged in the Campout Zone. \n*Note that run/ride teams will have 2 timing chips\, one can only used for running and one only for riding. So\, it is possible run/ride teams to have two participants on the course at one time\, but only one of each discipline. \n*You can also choose to participate solo\, but remember\, no one asked you to do this. \nThe Party – Let’s be honest\, the whole thing is the party\, but since you asked: Dinner and breakfast provided; coffee all night. Bumping tunes. Team Spirit competition.  Fire pits burning through the night and more to come. Also\, Rise Physical Therapy will keeping participants feeling fresh and limber\, while Phat Tire will be keeping them bikes rolling.

Co-hosted by UCA Physical Therapy and Exercise & Sport Science\, this unique fall favorite brings together the community for a fun\, festive event on UCA’s beautiful campus. Whether you are racing for a personal best\, jogging with friends\, walking with family\, pushing a stroller\, or simply coming out to enjoy the atmosphere\, all are welcome at Ghost-to-Gobble. \nGhost-to-Gobble operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit event. For the 2026 race\, 10% of profits will benefit UCA Living Unleashed\, a nonprofit organization that raises and trains highly skilled companion dogs through Canine Companions for Independence for individuals with disabilities. These dogs serve in life-changing roles as service\, assistance\, hearing\, and facility dogs. Remaining proceeds directly support the UCA Physical Therapy and Exercise & Sport Science programs through student scholarships\, research initiatives\, national conference attendance\, and free or low-cost therapy services for the community. \nLastly\, we are THRILLED to announce that\, to add to our animal theme for 2026\, Greenbrier\, Maumelle\, and Conway animal shelters will be at the race this year for an adoption day! SUMMARY:The Possum at Woolly Hollow
DESCRIPTION:The Possum at Woolly Hollow is a 6-hour\, 4-person team running event at Woolly Hollow State Park on November 1st\, 2025. It will be run on November 7th\, 2026\, with an 8:00 AM start time on the roads and Huckleberry trail circumnavigating Lake Bennett. This is a 6-hour team event involving four participating runners. \nRules \n\nEach team will be comprised of 4 team members. All 4 members must run the first loop together. After that any number of team members may run together (1-4) but must stay together for the entire loop.\nEach loop completed per runner will receive one entry into the post-race drawing.\nThe team with the most entries automatically gets to select their prize for finishing first overall. In the event of a tie\, the first placed finishing member of a team on loop 1 will be the tie-breaker.\nAfter the first overall team has selected their prize all remaining entries from all teams will be put in the drawing for 2nd and 3rd place prizes.\nNo team can win more than once. If a team is drawn a 2nd time they will be discarded and another team drawn in their place.\n\nPrizes \n\nFour Free Entries into the coming January Woolly Hollow Trail Half Marathon.​\nFour Free Entries into the coming January Village Creek 25k.\nFour $50 gift cards to UltraSignup.com\n\nCourse \nThe race will start at the pavilion in the center of Woolly Hollow State Park and proceed counter-clockwise down the entrance road to the park to the spillway waterfall where you will take a left and follow the Huckleberry trail all the way around the lake to Gold Creek Loop and then return to the pavilion. \nCause \nKevin has been blessed to be able to serve in the same school in Honduras each year since his first trip there in 2018. Proceeds from this race will go toward projects to help this school and others like it continue to provide a better education for the children in Honduras

SUMMARY:The Maumelle Foodie 5k/10k Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2nd annual Maumelle Foodie 5k/10k fun run! Come work up an appetite and run on the paved trails around the beautiful Lake Willastein in the heart of Maumelle. When you are hungry after the run\, head on over to the Maumelle Food Truck Festival and enjoy some good food with 40+ food trucks and vendors to satisfy everyone’s cravings! This is a great run for beginners looking for a new challenge\, or for the experienced runner looking for a enjoyable fall race to train for. The course is a looped course\, with the 5k being one loop around the lake\, and the 10k will be two! The course will have a 1.5 hour time limit. Come and join us for a fun day at Lake Willastein\, celebrating and supporting the city of Maumelle! \nStrollers are welcome as long as they start towards the back and no not block the pathway for faster participants. Dogs are not allowed on the course. \nEvery finisher will receive a medal. Specific awards will be handed out to the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70 and over for both the 5k and 10k. \nRegister before October 26\, 2026 to guarantee your T-shirt and medal! After that\, shirts will be handed out first-come\, first-serve while supplies last. \nPacket pickup will be on Friday\, November 6 from 3-6:30 at the same address as the race. Or the morning of the run starting at 8:30am.
