SUMMARY:Jacob Wells 3 Bridges Marathon
DESCRIPTION:3 Bridges Marathon – Saturday\, December 6\, at 7:00 a.m. \nRiver Mountain Park/ Two Rivers Bridge – 4468 River Mountain Road\, Little Rock\, AR \nAid Stations\, Restrooms\, and Medical Support \nThere are aid stations that average nearly every mile. There are numerous restrooms\, including permanent restrooms on the River Trail and portable ones that we will place on the course. Medical personnel will be on duty at the Start/Finish and on the course. A clothing drop will be at Mile 2\, where you may leave any clothing to be delivered to the finish line. \n Awards \nAwards will go to the top three males and females overall\, master\, grand master and senior and to the top five males and females in five-year age groups starting with 19 and under through 75+. \nThe awards ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. for the overall winners. Following the ceremony\, age group awards may be picked up at the information booth as soon as the results in that age group have been verified and finalized by the timing company. Early starters may not pick up awards until their age groups have been verified and all regular starters in their age group have finished. \nCourse \nThe course is almost entirely on the Arkansas River Trail and is a 19-mile loop to the east and then a 7-mile loop to the west. The course crosses the Big Dam Bridge at Miles 1 and 18\, the Clinton Presidential Bridge at Mile 9\, and the Two Rivers Bridge at Miles 19 and 26. The course crosses the Start/Finish line going west at 19 miles. The course is mostly flat\, except for the three bridges. The course is mostly paved trail. The course is USATF certified as AR13030DLP. See the Course tab for more detail. \nAll miles are clearly marked. Please carry your trash and dispose at the mile markers or aid stations. Mile 9 is prior to the Clinton Presidential Bridge going east. Mile 10 is on the Clinton Presidential Bridge on the return trip. Mile 18 is on the Big Dam Bridge going west. Mile 26 is on the Two Rivers Bridge. \nDirections \nSee Parking tab for directions to runner parking and the Spectators tab for directions to spectator viewing sites. \nDrop Bags \nNumbered drop bags will be provided at packet pickup. We discourage placing valuables in drop bags. \nThe drop bag area is a U-Haul parked at the Start/Finish line area near where you will be dropped off by the 3 Bridges Marathon trolley. It will be December in Arkansas\, so it could be 20 degrees or 70 degrees and may change that much overnight. Bring plenty of warm clothes for after the race. You may retrieve your bag immediately upon finishing\, get warm\, and enjoy food\, music\, and fellowship. \nEarly Start \nAn early start of 5:00 am will be allowed for those expecting to take between six and eight hours. Runners expecting to take longer than six hours are asked to take the early start option or may be removed from the course. Runners taking the early start and finishing significantly faster than six hours may be disqualified. \nIndicate Early Start with your online registration. If you did not indicate so with your online registration\, email your request to info@3bridgesmarathon.com with the email subject EARLY START.   You may not take the early start option unless you have registered online with your normal race registration or received an email confirmation of your post-registration email request. Runners starting early without having registered to do so are subject to disqualification. If you are unsure\, confirm at packet pickup that you are on the registered early start list. \nSee the Parking instructions for early starters. Early starters are responsible for being at the starting line at 5:00 a.m. Early Starters will park near the boat dock at River Mountain Park (4468 River Mountain Road\, Little Rock\, AR). \nEarly starters are eligible for awards in every age group but may not pick up their awards at the information booth until all regular starters in that age group have completed the race and the timing company has declared the results in that age group to be final. \nFacebook \nCheck us out at www.facebook.com/3bridgesmarathon. If you aren’t a follower\, please become one because this is a great benefit to our sponsors\, and it is the quickest way to get up to the minute race information. \nFee \nRegistration fees for the 3 Bridges Marathon are non-refundable\, but are transferrable through the RunSignUp site for a $20 fee.  See Transfers and Deferral Option policy.  Registration for the marathon is $120 plus service fee through November 10\, then $140 through noon December 4. Late registration will be offered at packet pick-up for $160. There is no race day registration. \nHalf Marathon \nThere is no half marathon option or other race distance. \nInformation Booth \nThere will be an information tent at the Start/Finish where you may address issues and ask questions. Shirt exchanges will be accommodated based on availability by request at the information booth on race day FOLLOWING THE RACE START. Shirt exchanges will not be mailed after race day.  Age group awards will be available at the information booth as each age group is verified and finalized by the timing company\, following the 11 a.m. awards ceremony. \nMedals \nEvery finisher gets a medal\, which will be distributed at the finish line. \nPacket Pickup \nPacket pickup will be at Rock City Running in the Market Place Shopping Center\, 11121 N Rodney Parham Rd Ste 37B\, Little Rock\, Arkansas on Friday\, December 5\, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The phone number is (501) 313-4689. Rock City is owned by Bill Torrey\, legendary Arkansas Hall of Fame runner. Packet pickup will also be available on race morning at the Start/Finish area from 4:30 a.m. until the last packet is claimed. We thank Rock City Running for hosting us! \nParking Instructions \nDetailed Parking instructions are listed here. Do not attempt to drive down or to park on or at the bottom of River Mountain Road after the Early Start. This area is reserved for race officials\, volunteers\, and emergency vehicles. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification and ban from future 3 Bridges events. \nPhotographs \nRace photographs will be taken by Marvin Winston and his team from Run Bike Swim Photos. Signs will indicate upcoming photographers. You will be contacted after the race with proofs and purchase information. Photos can be ordered at www.runbikeswimphotos.com. \nPost-Race Activities \nPost-race finish line activities will include the awards ceremony at 11:00 a.m. and food and beverages for runners\, friends\, and family. \nRace Results \nRace results will be provided immediately by Garner Timing Services on your smart phone through the RunSignUp.com Results app in your app store. Provide your bib number to your family and friends for an instant finishing time. Full race results will be posted at garnertiming.com. Race results will also be provided to MarathonGuide. \nSafety \nMedical personnel from Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) will be on hand at the Start/Finish and patrolling the course. Law enforcement will be on hand at the Start/Finish and at every section of the course that converges with traffic. \nFor the short sections of the Arkansas River Trail that converge with the roadway\, runners must remain aware of vehicular traffic at all times. Runners must remain to the right side of the roadway\, observe course monitors’ instruction\, and proceed through intersections with caution. Race numbers should be securely pinned to the front of your clothing and visible at all times. \nStrollers\, rollerblades\, skates\, unauthorized vehicles\, and pets are strictly prohibited to ensure runner safety. Pets are prohibited on the 3 Bridges Marathon trolley\, except for service animals. \nShirts \nShirts are long-sleeve unisex technical fabric. Select from XS\, S\, M\, L\, XL\, and XXL at the time of registration. Shirt sizes may be exchanged on race day at the Rock City Running information tent subject to availability. Shirt exchanges will not be mailed after race day. \nSpectator Guide \nSee the Spectators guide prepared for your friends and family to enjoy the day cheering for you along the course. You will not find another course on trails this beautiful that is also this accessible. The guide includes directions\, descriptions\, and approximate mile marks for numerous viewing areas. Your friends and family may see you many times\, often twice at one stop in a short period. Better yet\, have your friends and family volunteer for an early or late shift and cheer the other half of the day! \nThe course is almost entirely on the Arkansas River Trail system. However\, in a few short stretches\, roads with vehicular access converge with sections of the trail. Although we know you will be very mindful of traffic and there will be police officers at these locations\, please remind your friends and family that if they drive near the course to be courteous and careful. \nTime Limit \nThe race begins at 7:00 a.m. There is a 6 hour time limit for the regular start. There is an early start option at 5:00 a.m. for runners planning to take between 6 and 8 hours. There is an 8 hour time limit for the early start. See details under Early Start above. Runners expecting to take longer than six hours are asked to take the early start option or may be removed from the course. \nTravel \nThere is no host hotel and no hotel within walking distance to the parking lots. Race shuttles will not offer pickups from hotels. Prior transportation plans are encouraged. \nParticipants staying at local hotels may have a cab bring them to the race parking lot\, and then ride the shuttle to the starting line. Cabs will only be allowed to deliver participants to the starting line for the Early Start. Instructing your cab to drive down River Mountain Road for the regular start may result in disqualification and ban from future 3 Bridges events. \nVolunteers \nIt takes a tremendous number of volunteers to carry out a marathon. See Volunteers for clubs and organizations involved. Every major running club in central Arkansas has committed members and resources to make the 3 Bridges Marathon possible. If you would like to volunteer write info@3bridgesmarathon.com. \nWaiver \nThe marathon waiver is included with your online registration. Specifically note the Event Policies tab regarding cancellations\, registration refunds\, deferral option\, waiting list\, transfers\, and inclement weather. Online signature of the waiver upon registration acknowledges your understanding and adherence to all event policies. \nThank you for complying with all runner instructions.

SUMMARY:The Triple C at Woolly Hollow
DESCRIPTION:This is an annual trail race in memory of Curtis Colt Childress\, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 26\, 2024.   The race distances are 10\, 4\, and 1 miles through the trails at Woolly Hollow State Park.  All proceeds will go to the Cabugcayan Mission/Biliran Church of Christ in the Philippines\, which is where Curtis’s wife\, Ruby\, and daughter\, Curtlyn\, live.  Donations are appreciated! \nThe Triple C takes place on the first Saturday of December because Curtis was born on December 6th.  Curtis loved children and never met a stranger in his life\, so the 1 mile fun run/walk is set up for children or anyone else who doesn’t want to run or just wants a short trail experience. \nThe 10 miles course takes place along a short paved section at the back of the park and follows the Enders Fault Mountain Bike Trail\, ending at the top of the dirt access road in the Enders Fault gravel parking lot.  The 4 miles course begins on the paved road by the pavilion\, follows the Huckleberry Trail through the woods and along a short section of the main paved road\, runs by the falls\, around the lake\, up the dirt access road\, and finishes in the Enders Fault gravel parking lot.  The 1 mile course begins on pavement just past the pavilion\, runs through the gravel Enders Fault parking lot\, down the dirt access road with a turnaround back to the finish in the gravel parking lot. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers of the 10 and 4 miles courses. \nThis race is great for beginner trail runners\, those more experienced runners who want to hit a PR on shorter courses\, anyone looking to get in a solid training race for something bigger\, and anyone else who just wants to support our cause by spending some time in nature and getting awesome swag\, to boot! We hope to see everyone out there with us\, can’t wait to meet new faces\, and are so excited to be honoring the memory of Curtis by doing something he loved in the Park that was an integral part of his life. \nWoolly Hollow is a leave no trace state park.  Trash bags will be available at aid stations\, and there will be two\, one on the 10 miler around 4.5 miles and on the 4 miler before the waterfall. Please stash your trash! \nIN-PERSON REGISTRATIONS AFTER 11/6/25 WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT.  VIRTUAL REGISTRATIONS AFTER 11/6/25 WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT OR MEDAL.  Virtual packets will be mailed after the final completion date of 12/31/25.

SUMMARY:36 Hours of Black Bear
DESCRIPTION:This is a free\, donation based “fun run” put on by RD N. Johnson and Assistant RD S. Turner. This is basically like any training run you would do on your own. Only difference\, we’re feeding you. A donation jar to cover food and drinks will be at the start/finish or you can email us at haremountain100@gmail.com if you want to donate when you sign up.\nRace date and time:\nThe 36 Hours of Black Bear starts at 9:20am\, the 15 miler starts at 9am.\nA loop course on the Shores Lake/White Rock spur of the Ozark Highlands Trail\, starting and finishing at Shores Lake Recreation Area. It is all on trail.\nEach loop is approximately 15 miles and over 3500 feet of elevation gain (so the 15 miler is 15 with 3500). If someone can do 8 loops in 36 hours\, that’s ~ 120 miles and over 28\,000 feet of elevation gain.\nAt the start/finish at Shores Lake we will have bonfires\, camping\, food\, beverages and a really good time.\nThis year\, the event is limited to 15 runners (combined distances).\nThere is only one winner of the 36 Hours. \nDetails\nRunners will alternate directions with each loop. The run will begin with a CW loop (15 milers do one CW loop). The next loop will be CCW. Loop 3 CW and so on. On the first lap\, runners will most likely do the White Rock Rim trail. If this is something we make part of the course\, we will ask that you not most of the rim trail. It is on a bluff.\nAll other loops will just be to the OHT TH parking at the top and turn around.\nWe’ll have a couple of tents and food at Shores Lake. I suggest you camp there and have all of the gear and your favorite foods too. Just in case we might not have your tummy’s favorite.\nWe’ll have quesadillas\, avocados\, peanut butter\, maybe pizza\, sodas\, tailwind\, chips\, turkey burgers\, veggie burgers\, etc. We will not have gels for this event.\nPlease bring lots of light. We would like for you to have 2 sources on you if you are doing night loops.\nYou should prepare for warm or cold daytime temps and chilly nighttime temps. We suggest blister kits\, rain gear\, anti chafing cream\, extra shoes\, etc.\nThere will be one major aid station at the start/finish at Shores Lake. Runners will retrieve something at the TH at White Rock on every loop they complete. Fifteen milers will do the same. There are 2 county road crossings\, one on the West side and one on the East. There will be light aid at those intersections. As in\, water. We cannot leave food unattended like we had panned due to recent bear activity.\nThe start/finish at Shores Lake has camping.\nThis loop is the final portion of the Hare Mountain 100\, 50 and 60k. So\, a great little taste of the course if you are looking to run HM this fall.

SUMMARY:First Sunday Ride
DESCRIPTION:The First Sunday Ride is a simple idea. Frank Webber of Shift Modern Cyclery and Joe Jacobs of ArkansasOutside.com wanted to carve out time each month to enjoy the local trails with friends. Instead of keeping it to themselves\, they decided to open the invite to anyone who wants to join. This is a casual friends ride where new faces are welcome\, good conversations happen\, and the goal is to have fun on the dirt. \nEach month\, riders come together to explore local singletrack\, meet fellow riders\, and get to know the trails that make central Arkansas such a great place to ride. Frank and Joe love seeing new people show up\, so if you are looking for a welcoming group to ride with\, this is your chance. \nThe first ride will meet at the Equestrian Trailhead Parking Lot in Burns Park at 1 pm on Sunday\, December 7\, 2025. If the turnout is large\, riders will split into A\, B\, and C groups so everyone can find the pace and style of ride that fits. Eat before you arrive\, bring your helmet\, and be ready to roll right at 1 pm. \nIf you have not tried the new and rebuilt trails at Burns Park\, this is the perfect time to discover them. If you already know the system\, then you know how much fun is waiting. Come ride\, make new friends\, and start your month with a good time on the trail. \nEach rider is responsible for themselves on this ride.
