DESCRIPTION:OVT Off-Road Triathlon\, Off-Road Duathlon\, Gravel Triathlon and Gravel Duathlon to be held on the same weekend as the oldest road triathlon in NW Arkansas. \nSaturday\, June 13 – OVT Gravel Triathlon\, Gravel Duathlon\, Mtn Bike Triathlon and Mtn Bike Duathlon events. \nOff-road events: \n\nGravel Tri – 400-yard swim\, 12-mile bike\, 3-mile run\nGravel Du – 2-mile run\, 12-mile bike\, 3-mile run\nMountain Bike Tri – 400-yard swim\, 8-mile bike\, 3-mile run\nMountain Bike Du – 2-mile run\, 8-mile bike\, 3-mile run\n\nSunday\, June 14 – Ozark Valley Triathlon (road events) is hosting the 2026 Arkansas State Championships in the international and sprint distances as well as the Arkansas High School State Championship.  There is a combined Club Championship competition as well.  These are both road triathlon races and there will be a Aquabike\, duathlon and team category (International distance only) in the Ozark Valley Triathlon. \nOVT road events: \n\nSprint Triathlon – 400-yard swim\, 13-mile bike\, 2-mile run (USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship and High School State Championship)\nInternational Triathlon (individual or teams) – 1\,000-yard swim\, 19-mile bike and a 4-mile run (USA Triathlon Arkansas State Championship)\nAquabike – 1\,000-yard swim\, 19-mile bike\nSprint Duathlon – 2-mile run\, 13-mile bike\, 2-mile run\n\nAll events will be held at Lake Wedington Recreation Area.  Lake Wedington is located 13 miles west of Fayetteville and is one of the most natural settings for a triathlon in the region. Both spectators and participants can enjoy the natural beauty of the area\, combined with unique finisher medals\, post-race food\, awards and prizes make this race one to attend.

SUMMARY:Trail of Tears Remembrance Ride
DESCRIPTION:We remember the Trail of Tears to acknowledge the humanity of those who suffered and the grave injustice committed against sovereign peoples. This remembrance ride is not about assigning collective modern-day guilt\, but about collective modern-day responsibility. History\, unexamined\, repeats its patterns of dehumanization and marginalization.\nRemembrance facilitates essential change and discussion. It forces us to examine how systemic power can be used to silence\, displace\, and erase entire cultures. By confronting this legacy\, we open dialogues about ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities today. I challenge every rider to be a beacon of hope and change that inspires society. \nAll entry fees will be donated to the Cherokee Nation Foundation. \nThe Remembrance Ride serves as a respectful complement to the Remember the Removal Ride by focusing on public awareness and broader participation while honoring the latter’s status as a foundational youth leadership program. We also recognize that the Remember the Removal Ride is a much more challenging journey than this event. \nThe Route retraces the Trail of Tears from Pea Ridge\, AR to Tahlequah\, OK. This is a one-way route. If you choose to not complete the out and back route then you are responsible for your own transportation. \nThis is a self-supported ride – riders are responsible for their own food\, water\, navigation\, and repairs. The event will be held on roads that are open to vehicular traffic. Bright colors and bike lights are recommended to improve safety and visibility. \nThe start location = Pea Ridge Bike Camp 10542 Blue Jay Rd\, Pea Ridge\, AR 72751. The Grand Depart will be at 8 AM on June 20th 2026. Participants are encouraged to camp overnight at the Pea Ridge Bike Camp if they would like to.  The cost is $30 and  reservations can be made through Hipcamp.com using the UR code. Cash payments will be accepted on-site. Outdoor showers and a bike wash station are available for those opting to camp. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists for the very first annual Monumental Mayhem XC Race at Hobbs State Park! This race is part of the AMBCS series\, is sanctioned by USAC\, and utilizes Wolf’s Den and Karst Loop Trails. \nAs always\, kids race free (ages 14 & under\, racing in the 14 & under categories) \nThanks to Adventure Subaru’s sponsorship\, these registration fees are covered in a continued effort to make mountain biking more accessible for our youth. Parent Note – Kids will need to hold a one-day or annual USAC license.  AMBCS waives the hard plate fee for junior racers. \nThere is NO on-site registration available. \nAll racers are asked to enter the State Park and follow arrows to event grounds to parking located along Page Sawmill Rd. \nRiders need to check in at registration\, but your wait-time should be minimum. If this is your first race of the season you will need to purchase an AMBCS hard plate for $25. \nRemember that all of the people involved in OORC assisting you on race day are volunteers and have donated their time. Please be courteous and thank them for their volunteerism. \nLunch will be served for all participants/attendees.

DESCRIPTION:Western Arkansas Runners is honored to be able to carry on the Annual Memorial Run honoring BRENT MORRISON who was an avid runner in the River Valley as well as the Hot Springs area.  This year will mark the 10th year that a run of some form has been held and along with honoring Brent\, we will also be honoring runners whose life’s have been taken too soon. Run in honor of that runner you knew who is no longer with us.  Our Age Group awards are always an extra special treat and all runners will receive a finishers award as well as food\, music and runner comradery afterwards !!! A portion of the proceeds will go towards our clubs plans to host a Jr. Run Clinic\, Memorial Site for Brent\, with the remainder to go towards day-to-day use of the Western Arkansas Running Club\, a non profit organization\, located in Chaffee on Taylor Ave\, along with our weekly sponsored runs and events for runners.   Western Arkansas Runners- WAR- supports Runners and Walkers of all ages and gender and live by the motto “No Runners Left Behind”.  If you are unable to run/walk but are interested in volunteering or would like to make a donation please contact the race director : Sheri Nicholls @ brentmorrisonmemorial@gmail.com.  You will run the certified course\, chosen to be part of the 2025 Arkansas Grand Prix as a Championship Race however start/finish line had to be moved due to construction delays therefore is not certified. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Springhill Classic is hosted by the ARNICA team “River Valley Marshals”!  Thank you for supporting this event to help us “GET MORE KIDS ON BIKES” in the Fort Smith and surrounding river valley communities. \nOpening remarks and safety briefing will be at 7:30am near the Start/Finish line. \nWe have merch!  Online only\, for a small cost\, River Valley Marshal socks are available until sold out; Online only\, event T-Shirts are available for purchase to participants who register prior to July 8th. Pending approval\, available at the event for a designated donation\, other MTB style T-shirts will be available and printed on site in various sizes! \nLunch will be provided to participants at no charge.  Any extra food will be made available (please consider a donation) once all participants have had a chance to eat. \nThe 10 and Under course will be 2 laps on a 1.4 mile inside course loop close to the Pit Zone so you can cheer them on. \n\nThe 11-14 year old racers may recognize the old ARNICA racecourse with a little added to make it 4.4 miles long. \n\nFor the rest of the racers\, the full course of 6.44 miles will be used.  Some returning veterans to the SH Classic will recall the course being 9+ miles\, however as you will soon find out\, there is a new bridge being constructed over the Arkansas River which cut off about 2 miles of the trail system.

It seeks to address the root causes of poverty in addition to The Army’s history of compassionate serving. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment\, unstable housing\, and lack of education\, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and\, ultimately\, self-sufficiency. \nJoin us for a family friendly\, multi “bike”\, ride in our beautiful Hot Springs!\nYou will have the option to ride your road bike only\, MTB only\, or BOTH!! Yes\, we will have routes that include both road AND mountain. We will have a shuttle for your bikes at the exchange location. \nAfter you have worked up a good appetite come celebrate your finish at our After Party. (Farmers Market) Your “tour” registration includes food and drink\, t-shirt\, and other awesome swag. You will need to “check in” your mountain bike and MTB shoes by 6:45 am on the day of the event. Your MTB will be shuttled to the switch point. Once you switch bikes at the trail\, you will leave your road bike at the switch point and it will be shuttled back to the start point. SUMMARY:99 Miles of Bad Road
DESCRIPTION:99 Miles of Bad Road is a gravel bicycle race starting and ending in Hardy\, Arkansas.  Expect every road surface type\, with roughly 80% being unpaved.  Don’t let the elevation profile of the GPX fool you – Devices have picked up 100 feet or more of elevation gain per mile. These are relentless rolling hills with an occasional punchy climb or sketchy descent.  Everything from mud\, dirt\, gravel\, concrete bridges\, clay\, crushed limestone\, creek rocks\, broken pavement\, and more.  This route earns it’s name.  This is an ‘even year’ so we will be running the loops clockwise! Make sure you download the EVEN YEAR files. \nAll finishers will receive a cool memento! Top 3 in each category will receive a unique custom award. \nOh\, and we also have a 199 Mile route option… all 199’ers will be required to provide their own live GPS tracking – either via phone\, Garmin\, Spot\, etc. \nCheck the website and Facebook regularly for updates! \n————– \n-Both distances of this race are loop routes that start and end at Loberg Park in Hardy\, Arkansas.  Camping is available at the campground next door to the park.  We have nothing to do with that\, you’ll have to reserve with them here if you wish to camp: https://www.campspot.com/park/hardy-campground-rv-park \n-Unless there are tornadoes\, large hail\, or extreme thunderstorms the day of the race\, we will not cancel.  Put your big boy/girl pants on\, and ride! \n-There will be some water stops on the 99 mile route\, and this year we will have a fully stocked aid station at the Mammoth Spring State Park around half way. We will update the Ride With GPS route maps to reflect the locations closer to race day. The 199’ers can use these as well – however a large portion of their route will be ‘DIY’. Watch the website for the 199 Route file to be uploaded – that will give you guys an idea of where to find what so you can start planning your water and food needs ahead of time. \n-You are solely responsible for your own safety. We will however require a headlight\, flashlight\, or headlamp\, a whistle/horn\, at least 2L of water capacity\, and an emergency blanket/bivy\, and either a phone\, GPS\, or Bicycle computer. \n– Despite the risk of people tampering with arrows/flagging\, we WILL mark the 99 course this year\, well enough in advance to prevent timing issues. This does mean that some markers could be moved or taken down by people\, so you must make sure you have the right GPX file on your phone\, watch\, or computer. You are responsible for studying the route maps and navigating.  That’s half the fun!

DESCRIPTION:RIVER CLASSIC SEPT. 12\, 2026\nIn 2015\, a small group of cyclists who wanted to support Young Life’s work in South Little Rock decided to organize a cycling fundraiser and what is now the Young Life River Classic was born. In the eleven years since\, the event has grown from fewer than 50 riders to more than 300 in 2025. \nThroughout\, we’ve remained focused on two things: \n\nProducing a USA Cycling sanctioned\, well-supported event for cyclists of all levels\, and\nSupporting Young Life’s mission to serve teenagers from underserved communities south of Interstate 630.\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBig Dam Bridge Training Program\nThe River Classic is again part of the Big Dam Bridge 100 official training program. Through a partnership with the Big Dam Bridge Foundation and Arvest Bank\, participants in the Big Dam Bridge training program will ride the River Classic as a “Dress Rehearsal” for the BDB100 that is two weeks after our event. Find out more about the training program at www.thebigdambridge100.com. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is the River Classic?\n\nA USA Cycling-sanctioned\, fully supported ride with great fun\, food and fellowship\nThis is a fully supported ride\, with on-site mechanics and SAG\, well-stocked rest stops and route markers from RouteArrows to make navigation easier.\nA ride with three distance options for every level of cyclists:\n\n\n\n\n23.5 miles for beginners or those that just want to cruise\n40.6 miles for those looking for a weekend challenge\n63.6-mile route for experienced cyclists\n\n\n\nRegistration\nRegistration for the 2026 ride is now open! \n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nLunch will be provided after the ride by Corky’s! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Details\nPacket Pick-up will have two options: 1) Friday\, September 11 at Spokes bike shop in the Pleasant Ridge shopping center on Cantrell from 12-1:30 PM and 4:30-6:00 PM\, or 2) Saturday\, September 12 at the event venue at Ace Glass from 6:30-7:45 AM. \nThe 2026 River Classic will depart from the Ace Glass Corporate Headquarters (3101 Dugan Street\, near the LR Airport) Saturday morning at 8am. \nWe will provide post-ride food and drinks\, and all participants will receive a free photo from RBS Pics Photography! \nAll courses are well-marked by RouteArrows and we have several aid stations along the route where Young Life leaders and students will be ready to provide assistance. \nAll participants will receive an event t-shirt. \nWe hope to see you on Saturday\, September 12! \n  \nWhat Past Riders Say About the River Classic\n“Ride was great. DESCRIPTION:One of the original multisport festivals in Arkansas…the DeGray Lake Triathlon will feature two triathlon distances (olympic and sprint)\, a duathlon (sprint)\, aquabike (olympic) and an open water swim (olympic). There will be a team category for the olympic triathlon. \nDeGray Lake is a reservoir on the Caddo River in Arkansas.
