DESCRIPTION:A view of cows munching on fresh field grass\, happy-as-can-be-tail-wagging donkeys\, a pack of wild farm goats jumping around\, sheepishly cute sheep baa-ing as you pass by\, bees buzzing (from a distance) & a horde of chickens and ducks chirping & quacking you on! Introducing… St. Joseph’s first annual Fat Cow 5k! This 5k farm-raiser is being held on the farmstead trails that pass wild blackberry bushes\, summer wildflowers in bloom\, growing watermelon in our Hunger Relief garden\, all the fresh fruit & vegetables growing on our land & in our community gardens. Did we mention all the farm animals as official race spectators in this fun run?! \nAbout St. Joseph’s: St. Joseph farmstead is a 56\,000 SF historic building and 63 acre property in North Little Rock that is on the National Register of Historic Places. St. Joseph’s is also a designated Arkansas Century Farm. As an independent nonprofit\, St. Joseph operates as a farm with a mission to preserve the historic property through sustainable agriculture & food production\, programs that educate & promote agritourism\, & support community outreach. With over 30 artist studios\, an event venue\, renovated commercial kitchen space\, beer shed\, & a year-round farmstand store selling local and organic foods\, there is A LOT going on at St. Joseph’s. Come see for yourself & be a part of history at our first 5k FARM-raiser. \nThe Course: The course will include both trail and road/pavement. The trails include soft grass\, rocks and pine\, and the crossing road will be manned for safety. Special thanks to Americorps NCCC & Central Arkansas Master Naturalists who helped to create these trails on the farmstead. \nParking: Parking is available on the West (second) Entrance at the front of the building on Camp Robinson Road. Follow the signs for parking and please arrive early to secure your spot! \nThe fun run will start promptly at 7:30am and a raffle will occur at 8:45am. The course is .7 of a mile of brand-new pavement with 14 turns\, plenty of room for passing\, and a long straight for those high watt sprints! Come early to pre-ride the course and dial in those handling skills before the main event. Men and women will start together within their race categories but will have separate podiums. Cash prizes for the A race podium sponsored by Spokes Little Rock(prizes increase with every ten registered racers)\, B race prizes sponsored by Trek Little Rock\, and C race prizes sponsored by Arkansas Cycle & Fitness. Prime prizes for A\,B\,&C races sponsored by Trek\, Angry Dave’s\, AC&F\, Muk-off\, Tifosi Optics\, Hand-up Gloves\, Blue Sail Coffee\, Lost 40 brewery\, and Diamond Bear brewery.  It’s going to be hot \, but there will be free cold beer for racers courtesy of Flyway brewery! BBinfinite has supplied ceramic pulley sets for series winners so be sure to keep racing to stack those points! Each race registration enters you for a raffle for prizes from Hyperice as well! SUMMARY:Hope Watermelon 5K
DESCRIPTION:Race starts leaving Fair park and going East on Park drive. Mostly flat with a few winding turns\, then heading to Elm street going back north for two blocks lining up for the long straight away on Main. \nRunners continue along Main St rewarded with a small gradual downhill until near the 1.5 mile point. Main St then moves gradually back uphill and the race route continues this gradual incline after making a right turn onto 16th street until just before the 2 mile marker. \nAt this point the course is gradually downhill until after the turn onto Grady Street\, where the route levels off. The now weary runners will take Grady north to 7th Street where a left turn is made. The route angles to the southwest onto Park Dr. The road then turns back due west for the final straightaway. It is now time for the runners to begin their finishing kicks as the 3 mile marker and the finish line back in Fair Park are finally in sight! \nFor further information\, contact:\nDon Still\, Race Director

DESCRIPTION:Curious about Enduro Mountain Bike Racing? Not sure how an Enduro race works? Let us help you get your feet wet with the Ozark Enduro LITE Series. A short summer series of 3 beginner friendly enduro races. All rider abilities are welcome but the Ozark Enduro Lite Series is aimed at introducing new folks to the awesome sport of Enduro racing. \nEnduro racing is primarily downhill timed segments\, ranging anywhere from just less than a minute per stage to up to 5-6 minutes that may require some pedaling. A typical Ozark Enduro Lite race will consist of 6-8 downhill segments. Your time will start when you enter the top of a segment and will end when you reach the bottom of that segment. There will be connecting routes to transition between each segment that will not be timed. Only the segments are timed. Riders often ride with groups and make new friends while enjoying the trails during the transfers. After completing all the downhill segments\, your total time will be compared with the times of other riders to see how you did. \nYou will be required to have a fully functional mountain bike with off-road tires and a proper fitting helmet. Full face helmets are recommended but not mandatory. Other recommended items are gloves\, eye protection\, knee pads\, elbow pads. We also strongly encourage carrying the necessary items for minor bike repair such as tire plugs\, tubes\, CO2\, spare chain links etc. \nThere will be aid stations\, however\, it is important to carry enough water and nutrition to last throughout the race. Typical durations will be anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the course and each rider’s ability. \nNone of these races would be possible without volunteers. Volunteer help will be needed at every race\, and we would love to make you a part of our event and give you some cool swag. SUMMARY:Scorchin' Squirrel Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:The Scorching’ Squirrel is a trail race through Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center’s 1200 acres located just 10 miles west of Little Rock.  There are 4 distance options: a 10k (1 loop)\, 11.5 mile (2 loops)\, 15.5 mile (3 loops) or 19.5 mile (4 loops). All distances are approximate.  Each loop passes through 1 full aid station and one water drop.   There will be refreshments at the end with a cook out at the pool.  Please bring stuff to share although Fleet Feet Little Rock and Ferncliff will provide burgers and hot dogs.  We will begin serving food at 10 AM.  No glass containers please.  No pets. \nThis is a great race for heat training and for trying out trail running with the shorter distances.  There is quite a bit of incline throughout the course and a few water crossings in wet weather. \nAll the distances end back at the start of the race\, which is at the Ferncliff pool pavilion.  The pool will be open after the race.  It has a large covered pavilion and runners can cool off and enjoy some food and refreshments.  There are lots of changing stalls. \nAny proceeds from the event will support Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center.  If you’d like to reserve lodging the evening before the event call 501-821-3063 to reserve a room or cabin. \nIt takes about 25 volunteers to do this event right.  Would you like to volunteer and have a great time supporting runners?  If so please fill out this very brief volunteer application:  https://forms.gle/HeqTSnAQR2WghPqn6 \nClick Here to view the approximate route:  https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1404552 \nStrava course map for one loop completed:  https://www.strava.com/activities/5680121722?share_sig=6F664A841628868806&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_share \nAll distances begin: 7:00 am with a  6:50 am Mandatory Race Briefing
