SUMMARY:Cave City Easter Run
DESCRIPTION:We have a distance for everyone! Join us for the 1/2 marathon\, 10k\, or 5k!.  All races start and finish at the Cave City Park at 9 am.  Mac’s Race Timing Service will there to provide chip timing. \nAbout the course: The first 3/4 mile is pavement before it turns to a roller coaster of scenic gravel roads.  The 5k and 10k are out and back routes.  The 1/2 marathon goes out and you will do a “lollipop” style out and back.  Aid stations will be along the course.  This course is difficulty and challenging with rolling hills. \nUnique finisher awards and top 3 Male/Female awards will be given for each race.  Deadline to guarantee a t-shirt and finisher medal will be March 24\, 2023.  Post race snacks will be provided for participants at the finish line.  All funds received through registration will be used to cover race expenses and benefit the Cave City Police Department. \nPacket Pickup and day of registration will be 7-8:45 am on 4/8/2023.  \n *Please pick up your packet or have someone pick it up for you. If you cannot\, please contact us to arrange a pick up.  We will not ship your packet to you.* \nBelow is a list of area hotels that are a short 15 minute drive to Cave City for anyone that wants to get some extra sleep that morning.  Don’t forget to mention that you are staying for the Cave City Easter Run. \nHotels: Hampton Inn\, Holiday Inn Express\, Comfort Suites\, Ramada Inn\, The Royal on Main \nBe sure to like and follow the Cave City Easter Run Facebook Page to for updates! \nNO REFUNDS-This is a fundraiser and no refunds will be given. The race will continue no matter the weather unless lightening is in the area. Then we may delay the start and go from there.

This new area will have over 50 new climbs. \nFitzgerald South Adopt a Crag\nFor all Adopt a Crag events\, please keep in mind the following: \n\nWear closed-toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.\nBring water\, snacks\, and extra layers for the elements.\nBe prepared to be challenged\, work hard\, and gain karma points!\nWork includes lifting and carrying up to 50-100 pounds\, walking on unstable terrain\, and being exposed to the elements (sun\, rain\, heat\, cold\, everything in between and beyond.)\n​​Although we’ll be outside\, if you are feeling ill or have had any recent exposure to Covid please reconsider and stay home to rest up!\n\n  \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Access Fund’s stewardship manager\, Andrea Hassler\, andrea@accessfund.org or David Thompson\, david_7896@yahoo.com. \nAll volunteers must complete the Access Fund waiver prior to volunteering.
