SUMMARY:Whitney's Race
DESCRIPTION:Whitney’s Race is not just Whitney’s race. It is a race against time for those yet to be afflicted with pancreatic cancer\, the most deadly cancer. It is Time To Cure® pancreatic cancer. Whitney’s Time To Cure® has passed. Whitney Marsh perished at age 41\, November 1\, 2018\, ten months after diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. Five-year survival from pancreatic cancer stands at 6-9% showing little to no improvement in survival in the past 50 years despite vast medical advances across almost all other cancers. Pancreatic cancer is currently the number two cancer killer in 2020 and researchers estimate pancreatic cancer will be the number one by 2030. Diagnosis is often late begetting the need for local medical practitioner education as well as research for improved diagnostic testing and imaging. Once a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer has been made treatment usually involves chemotherapy with or without radiation therapy followed by curative intent surgery followed by more chemotherapy. Whitney was scheduled for surgery\, but the day before surgery a CT scan showed cancer had spread. She died within 4 months of the CT scan while re-starting chemotherapy and running 8-10 miles or biking 30-40 miles per day. Even the super-healthy are no match. Better pre-operative treatment options are the future. Whitney’s Race will fund the Whitney Marsh Foundation Inc for local education and national research for Pancreatic Cancer. Funds will be apportioned locally and the remainder with well respected national cancer research institutes such as MD Anderson. Whitney’s Race is a race against time. It is Time To Cure® pancreatic cancer. \nWhitney’s Race day at the Fort Smith Bakery District will be a great day of running\, racing\, eating\, and music. Race for your best time and afterward hang out for a great time. Bring yourself and friends to race. It is a day for family and friends who run or not. If you don’t want to race\, come anyway. DESCRIPTION:The Little Rock Hash House Harriers invite you to the 27th Annual HashFest Red Dress Weekend 2025\, November 14-16\, in beautiful Hot Springs National Park\, Arkansas. \nWe’re back with all of the usual debauchery you’ve come to expect from the Little Rock Hash House Harriers. The city residents are anxiously awaiting our return\, so start looking for that perfect red dress\, and don’t forget to accessorize. (You must wear a red dress\, or facsimile thereof\, to trail on Saturday.) \nFor a paltry fee of $74.69 ($84.69 after October 15) you get all this great stuff: \n1. A genuine Hashfest Gimme (If registered and paid before November 1)\,\n2. Loads of brewski\, snacks\, and other pleasures of the Hashpitality Suite (the usual Al Capone Suite)\,\n3. SUMMARY:Creek Trail Crusher
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Northeast Arkansas’ newest ultra\, the Creek Trail Crusher! The Crusher has 3 races designed to test your endurance and will. 6\, 12\, and 24 hour races will begin at 7:30 am on November 15th at Rotary Park in Paragould\, AR. The race route begins at Rotary Park and proceeds to the 8 Mile Creek Trail\, the entire route is completely paved with no street crossings. All Races will be last participant standing events\, meaning if a race has no participants complete the entire time allotted for their race\, once only one participant remains the race ends\, and the last participant standing is declared the winner. If multiple participants reach the final cycle in their respective race the first to complete the cycle will be declared the winner. \nRunners will be required to complete a 4.167 mile out and back cycle within 59 minutes and 59 seconds. A new cycle starts at half past every hour. Early and late starts are not permitted. If a runner has not returned from the previous cycle or is not at the start line when the new cycle begins\, they will be disqualified. If medical aid is required on the course the runner will be disqualified. Runners are permitted to have teams/ nutrition/ hydration/ aid available in the designated area provided at the start/finish line. Hydration packs and fuel are allowed on the course. Lunch and dinner will be provided for participants at the start/finish line. \nWe are honored to annouce proceeds from the 2025 Creek Trail Crusher will be directed to support the Paragould Fire Department.

DESCRIPTION:IT’S BACK! The annual “WANGO TANGO” endurance race\, a loud and rowdy 4-hour ENDURANCE mountain bike race/trail run on the City Lake trail system in Siloam Springs Arkansas! \nYou read that right\, this year the Wango Tango will again include a 5k and 10k trail run on the hidden gem of the Siloam City Lake trails set to take place before the start of the 4-hour mountain bike endurance race. All of this awesomeness is set to take place this year on Saturday\, November 15th\, 2025! \nIn a partnership with Siloam Springs Parks & Recreation\, the Borderline Ozark Off-Road Cyclists are excited to again bring mountain bike racing and trail running to western Benton County! \nAlong the same vein as the popular ‘Beast of Burden’ event\, the Wango Tango features 4-hours of solo and team relay mountain bike racing as well as trail running on beginner and intermediate trails! \nThe trail run will start at 11 AM and all runners will be off of the trails before the start of the mountain bike endurance race. To add to the mountain bike challenge\, a 3 pm start for the endurance race means the sun will set 2 hours into the mountain bike race and competitors will be racing in the dark to finish. \nThis will be an electronically timed race. \nMountain Bike Award Categories include Solo Male\, Solo Male Junior\, Solo Female\, Solo Female Junior\, 4 Man Relay\, 4 Woman Relay\, 4 Person Co-Ed (any combination of male and female)\, 2 Person Male\, 2 Person Female\, 2 Person Co-Ed (1 male and 1 female)\, and 4 Person Junior co-ed (Can be any combination of male or female Junior racers aged 13-18)\, E-Bike solo male\, and E-bike solo female. Only class 1 E-bikes will be allowed to compete. \nTrail Run Award Categories will include top male and female overall finishers\, as well as awards for top age category finishers. \nCome smash it out solo or with your best compadres as the Wango Tango caters to all skill levels. The race is spectator friendly and friendly heckling is encouraged. \nRegistration for the mountain bike endurance race is ONLY $50/racer (Juniors are just $30)\, $40 for the 10k trail run and $30 for the 5k trail run. Trophies will be awarded 3 deep in every category. \nAll competitors must be 13 or older by December 31st\, 2025. \nHelmets are required for the mountain bike race\, and all mountain bike competitors must have at least one light source to compete (Helmet AND bar lights are recommended). \nThe Wango Tango is unsanctioned\, and all participants must sign a waiver. Under 18 must have a parent or guardians’ signature to compete. \nProceeds from the event benefit the Borderline chapter of the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists and volunteer trail advocacy in Western Benton and Washington Counties. \nCity Lake is located just north of Siloam Springs\, Arkansas. From downtown head north on Mt. Olive Street and then turn right onto Dawn Hill Road. Follow signs for parking. \nOnly volunteers will be allowed to park at the trailhead/pit area. All participants must park in designated parking areas and either ride to the trailhead/pit area or drop off their equipment before parking. Bike racks will be provided in the pit.

DESCRIPTION:What It Is…\n\n\n\n\nThis is an extreme gravel event that will test your mind\, body\, and soul. You will ride 76 miles and cover 8\,000 feet of vertical gain over remote\, demanding and unforgettable terrain. Unforgettable partly because of relentless climbing but more so because it might be the most beautiful place you’ll ever pedal your bike. \n\n\nWhat It’s Not…\n\n\n\nThis is not a race and it is not a pampered ride. And it’s definitely not flat. We have a safety-first mentality and have coordinated with local EMS providers in case of emergency\, but we will have limited ability to provide on-course services beyond food\, water\, and medical. Your bike and in particular your brake pads\, MUST be in excellent condition. We will have very limited ability to provide sag support so ride within yourself\, stay hydrated\, and plan to finish the day under your own power.
