SUMMARY:Snowball Adventure Race
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the adventure of a lifetime!  The Snowball Adventure Race is the first of its kind to be hosted in Searcy County\, Arkansas.  This adventure will start with a 6 mile run to the Margaret White area on the Buffalo National River\, only a few hills\, all gravel and great scenery.  You will then jump in your boat for a 8.5 mile float down the beautiful Buffalo River to the Tyler Bend launch area.  You will then pick up your bicycle at the Tyler Bend Pavilion and start the 11.5 mile gravel journey back to Snowball via the Ozark Grinder Trail.  The bike portion has a few uphills\, lots of gravel and amazing views of the Buffalo River. \nDon’t like to run? Paddle? Bike?  Sign up as a team! \nYou will need your own bike and your own boat\, either canoe or kayak\, if you take a canoe\, you may share with other participants.  You will be responsible for delivering your bicycle to the Tyler Bend Pavilion on Race Day.  We will assist with your boat shuttle.  PFD’s are required. Drop bags will also be available to reduce your load. \nWhen you’ve completed your adventure\, join us for a free meal in Snowball!  Got guests?  Please purchase an extra meal ticket. \nUnder 12? Check out our kid’s Adventure Race!  Slightly smaller and tons of fun. \nThere’s a new division this year!  The Armchair Adventurer! If you’ve ever ventured into the backroads\, you’ll find gravel roads unrivaled anywhere else on earth. Have you ridden the singletrack? It’s world-famous. \nWe thought we’d take these three paragons of NWA and wrap them into a brutally beautiful\, challenging\, and uncommon course. You’ll ride out of Bentonville on rolling\, mixed terrain. The road will pitch up and descend\, over and over\, and you’ll feel fresh as your mind plays tricks on you. Tarmac to gravel and back\, then a quick dip into some primo Bella Vista singletrack. Pop out\, and your front wheel points towards southern Missouri as you speed along the tree-lined rural roads… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs the pavement slowly runs its course over the passing miles\, the bulk of gravel arrives. Open farm fields. Tree canopy cover. Smooth hardpack. Chossy\, chunky\, sharp\, pebble wrestling. Sometimes sidewalls tear\, choose your rubber wisely. We like to joke that the SRAM AXS Mullet build with the 10/50 cassette in the back was custom-tuned to the steep pitchy gravel climbs here. The terrain is relentless. Sometimes single lane\, sometimes double track. You’ll never settle into a rhythm\, and it’ll hurt… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSomewhere around mile 75 (give or take)\, you’ll feel like you should be done and finished. But that’s when the meat and potatoes start. You’re staring down the barrel of multiple singletrack sectors to get your bonking body to the finish. If you were to ride these rippers with fresh legs on a good day\, you’d be reveling in heavenly shred. But you’re 75 miles into hell\, and these trails won’t relent. You’ll need that 10/50\, trust us. Keep it together\, cause the descents are a riot if you’re of a right mind. No matter how cratered your body feels at this point\, you’ll find a smile on your face. Lean\, climb\, descend\, steer\, and oh yeah\, choose your equipment wisely (see that flint stone in the photo above?). Just as you’re about to quit\, you’ll glimpse the finish. And you’ll be proud of you. And everyone else will be too. A hug\, a beer\, a laugh\, and you conquered the day. \nThis is the Rule Of Three.

Come enjoy the nation’s only craft beer brewed IN a national park WITH water from the famed hot springs around 5pm on Friday\, May 10th! \n\n\n\n\n\nParty In The Back!\n\nOur Beaver Bash “Party In The Back” will feature live music starting at 10:00! \n\n\n\n\n\nMullet Run Sponsors\n\nWe are open to 2024 sponsorship opportunities now! Sponsors will receive two complimentary race registrations with shirts! \n\n\n\n\n\nMullet Run 25k and 10k Routes\n\nRoutes are the same as the 2023 race! We will update if any changes are made. Note the date on the attached map is incorrect at this time. The race date is May 11th. \n\n\n\n\n\nRace Day Packet Pickup\n\nYes! You can pick up your packet from 6:30 until 7:45 am on race day at registration at Cedar Glades Park! \n\n\n\n\n\nCupless Race\n\nIn an effort to reduce waste and littering\, the Mullet 25k and 10k races will be cupless. This means there will not be paper cups available for runners at any point out on the course. Prepare accordingly and bring a refillable bottle. \n\n\n\n\n\nAid Stations\n\nTwo opportunities for the 10k. Three aid opportunities for the parched 25k participants. \n\n\n\n\n\nAwards (aka: Mullet Medals)\n\nOverall Male and Female awards for both the 10k and 25k races. Awards for the best mullets and fullets (fake mullets) is a tradition we can’t wait to continue!
