Registration is FREE but REQUIRED for each child participating under the age of 18. Shirts and medals are also free to those registered BEFORE May 31\, 2024. The OORC has waived all Junior registration fees for the race in a continued effort to make mountain biking more accessible for our youth. Parent Note – Kids 13 and under are allowed to get a FREE yearly license or will need to hold a one-day or annual USAC license for insurance/liability and those may be purchased in the pre-registration process for just $15 (one day). AMBCS waives the  hard plate fee as well. \nThere is NO on-site registration available. \nAll racers are asked to enter the State Park down Piney Rd. (paved) and follow arrows to the event grounds located at the parking lot along Townsends Ridge Rd. NOTE: Townsends Ridge Rd from Hwy. 12 will be closed to auto traffic the morning of the event. \nRiders need to check in at registration\, but your wait-time should be minimum. If this is your first race of the season you will need to purchase an AMBCS hard plate for $25. \nPlease remember that there is a very good chance that the person or persons assisting you on race day are volunteers and have donated their time. Please be courteous and thank them for their volunteerism. \nLunch will be served for all participants/attendees.

At the end of Valley Drive\, bicyclist go left and runners to right where you will follow the signs making a loop of the JBU campus to the finish line! Please note there is a fairly steep hill on University Street mid way through the run course. We also host special programs for families and community education throughout the year.  Our family programs served 451 in 2022.  All of our services are free and confidential.  We rely on grants\, donations\, and fundraisers like this one to keep our doors open and our services available to all in need. \nWhat to Expect\nOur 2024 race will be at the Batesville Community and Aquatics Center.   It will be all indoor.  Kids will swim in the competition pool (floaties and life jackets allowed for younger children) then run down the hall to the walking track to finish the run portion.  Each child will have an assigned volunteer following them through the race for safety and direction.  Children may register for “run only” if they are uncomfortable swimming. \nRegistration\nRegister online or by phone ahead of time for the best deal on your race fee.  SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE. Race packets containing t-shirts\, race numbers\, and waivers may be picked up on Wednesday\, May 29th at our office located at 184 N 5th St. in Batesville between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Otherwise\, they will be available at the registration desk on the day of the race.  Registration will open at 7:00 a.m. on the day of.  Day of registration is $20. However\, we can only guarantee t-shirt sizes for pre-registered participants. \nRace Legs\nParticipants will be divided into age groups and will go in the pool first.  Floaties and life vests may be used by younger children in the pool.  Racers will then put on their shoes and proceed down the hall to the walking track to complete the run portion. Each run is 2 miles and the bike is 11 miles\, all of which are on paved trails. \nIndividual: $50 \nRelay (of 2): $90 \nRelay (of 3): $135 \n\nRelay (of 2): Participate as a RELAY TEAM of two in two ways  \nOption 1: one person is the runner and one person is the cyclist. \nOption 2: one person runs/bikes and the other person bikes/runs\, splitting the bike portion in half \n\n\nRelay (of 3): Participate as a RELAY TEAM of 3\, where one is the 1st runner\, one is the cyclist\, and one is the 2nd runner.
