SUMMARY:One Hour Track Run
DESCRIPTION:Race hosted by the River Valley Runners\n•Kicks off the 2025Grand Prix Season!\n•Run on a standard 400 meter track\n•Grand Prix Championship Event\n•Two separate heats to decrease track congestion\n\n\nDay of race registration: $35.00\n\nChili and all the fixin’s will be provided\n\nThe first One Hour Track Run was held in 1983 as part of Grand Prix II. This run took place in Russellville at the Arkansas Tech University track. The One Hour Track Run was eliminated after one year as the Grand Prix was trimmed to a core of four races for most of the 1980’s. Later incarnations of a One Hour Track Run were located in El Dorado and later Camden\, Arkansas\, and were a Grand Prix staple in the 1990’s. After 1998\, the One Hour Track Run ceased to be run until the Long Distance Running Committee decided to revive it as part of the 25th Running of the Grand Prix in 2006. Fittingly\, the One Hour Track Run returned to Russellville for Grand Prix XXV\, and was held at the Russellville High School Track. \nThe course is a standard\, 400 meter track. Very Flat! Aid stations every 1/4 mile! \nONE HOUR TRACK RUN WILL BE AT Russellville High School\, Russellville\,AR 72802

SUMMARY:Village Creek 10K/25K Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to year 12! \nVillage Creek the Legend! Lace ‘em up tight! Like we always say\, “Mud\, Sweat\, and Tears!” That’s what you will find here at Village Creek State Park—the 31st and 2nd largest in Arkansas. Located just 6 miles south of Wynne\, Village Creek State Park encompasses nearly 7\,000 acres. We have an amazing multi-use trail system that is virtually untouched by the running community most of the year. Equestrian\, Mountain Bike\, and Hiking Trails combine to form a little over 26 miles of manicured sweetness atop the geologic anomaly known as Crowley’s Ridge. \nOur race features a multitude of ups and downs\, both physically and emotionally! Your day will consist of creeks\, mud\, leaves\, sticks\, steep ridgelines\, and our infamous rolling pipeline. All the while a tub of buttercream icing and warm homemade cinnamon rolls wait for you at the finish. \nThe start/finish sits at the edge of our lower campground and boasts some of the most pristine bathhouses of any state park! You can camp so close to the start line that all ya gotta do is roll over toot\, tinkle\, brush\, and run! If cabins are more your thing\, no fear! Village Creek has several 5-star cabins available just up the hill towards Lake Dunn. \nThe 25k has a 6-hour time limit. You have approximately 3hr and 15min to make it to our bib check at the 25k turnaround. If you have not checked out of the turnaround by the 3:15 mark chances are you aren’t gonna get a cinnamon roll….I kid\, I kid! You just won’t get a hot one! \nThe 25K is an out-and-back route starting at the bicycle entrance to the following markers 13\,14\,15\,16\,17\,18\, north past 19 towards 20 where you will reach the turnaround. Aid stations will be at approximate halfway points for both races. This is a cup-free race! Bring your bottles! The 10k is an out and back\, also follow marker 13\,14\,15\,16\, turnaround goes back to finish.

SUMMARY:Central Arkansas Cyclocross Series
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Central Arkansas Cyclocross Series “CACS”\nThe atmosphere of cyclocross racing is what draws many racers and fans to the sport. Cyclocross is very spectator friendly with the courses set up in local parks\, along with the short races happening at high speeds. Although the racing can be highly competitive on course\, there’s a festival environment outside the course tape. \nWhat is Cyclocross?\nCyclocross combines elements of road cycling\, mountain biking\, and steeplechase. Races are relatively short (20-60 minutes)\, held on 2.5- to 3.5-kilometer closed circuit courses in parks and open spaces. Riders race over varying amounts of pavement\, grass\, dirt\, and sand. \nCan I use a mountain bike or gravel bike for cyclocross? \nAlmost any standard bicycle with two wheels can be used for cyclocross at local cyclocross races. Bicycles with drop handlebars are standard equipment for cyclocross\, but flat bars (with no forward or upward extensions) are allowed. Gravel bikes can be used for cyclocross races\,  Drop handlebars are required at USA Cycling Cyclocross National. \nTire Width Rules for Cyclocross\nThe condensed version is that any tire width is allowed for local USA Cycling-permitted cyclocross races. \nPoints for the Series  \nPoints for each race will be awarded based on how many participants come and race. Winner of the series will be awarded

SUMMARY:Endure the Dirt 5k Cancer Mud Run
DESCRIPTION:We have so many options for you to participate this year ! \nYou can decide to run VIRTUAL or join us to ENDURE THE DIRT and get DIRTY!\nENDURE THE DIRT 5K MACKS PRAIRIE WINGS STUTTGART ARKANSAS\nBeginners to elite athletes are welcome to participate in the ninth ENDURE THE DIRT adventure race that’s mission is to raise money to motivate\, encourage\, and educate cancer patients and their caregivers. \nENDURE THE DIRT is a 5K mud run that consists of obstacles that are engineered to test your strength and tackle your fears. Located on the flat land of Stuttgart surrounding Mack’s Prairie Wings\, this course is designed for a healthy individual to understand what a cancer patient endures daily. Fellow participants will be there to give you a boost and help you conquer each task\, just as the cancer patient has their caregivers to help them tackle cancer. \nNOW WE SPRINT VIRTUAL CHALLENGE 50 MILES OR MORE   (JANUARY 1st 2024)\nMarc Stringer started his cancer regimen with 25 radiation treatments and 5 chemotherapy treatments.  This wasn’t the end.  After his esophagectomy\, he continued with chemotherapy treatments for 3 years.  We can’t even begin to count how many rounds he received some being 2 types of drugs some being 3. \nThis is what many cancer patients have to ENDURE\, rounds\, and rounds of treatment.  These treatments can bring side effects that are undesirable.  They can literally make you so sick all you want to do is stay in bed. \nThe NOW WE SPRINT VIRTUAL 50 MILE OR MORE RUN begins January 1ST\, 2024.\nWhy in January?  Because of the weather.  Cancer patients have to deal with extreme circumstances just like you may have to deal with extreme weather.  We want you to be uncomfortable\, just like cancer patients are uncomfortable every day while battling the dreaded disease. \nThe Virtual race is also a great way to get ready for Endure the Dirt. Enter your miles by Feb 28\, 2024. \nMini Mudder: This is a great way for kids who may be too small for our obstacles on the main course to still get down and dirty for cancer. \nCANCER GETS DIRTY\, BUT WE DO TOO!

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Central Arkansas' Last Chance Run
DESCRIPTION:Please join local running clubs including the Arkansas Running Klub\, Blue Rose Running Co.\, Cabot Country Cruisers\, Conway Running Club\, Little Rock Roadrunners\,  River Valley Runners\, Saline County Striders and the Spa Pacers on Saturday\, December 28th at 9 AM for the 3rd Annual Central Arkansas’ Last Chance Run!  This FREE run will take place at War Memorial Park and anyone is welcome to participate! We will meet in the parking lot west of the roundabout at Fair Park Blvd and Zoo Dr.  There is limited parking within the park\, but there is plenty of overflow parking at the nearby War Memorial Stadium. \nThere will be 2.5 mile marked loop around the park that participants will be welcome to run or walk as many times as they would like!   There will also be a 1/2 mile kids run at 8:40 AM. \nDrinks and snacks will be provided after the run in a covered pavilion and there will be a number of door prizes to be given away to registered participants that are in attendance.  Many of the participating running clubs and sponsors will have tables and tents set up so you can get in your miles with old friends\, and then hang out out afterwards to make some new ones! \nWe will also be taking online donations for the Arkansas Foodbank.  We will not be accepting canned food donations this year. Donations are not required\, but are encouraged.  The participating running clubs will once again have a friendly competition to win the Last Chance Run Cup.  See more information below. \nThank you to our sponsors and friends that have helped to make this event possible: Arkansas RRCA Grand Prix\, Blue Rose Physical Therapy\, Chicken Salad Chick\, Coker Fit Photographer\, Fleet Feet Little Rock\, Garner Timing Services\, Little Rock Parks & Recreation\, Rock City Running and 7 Brew Coffee.  Special thanks to Little Rock Parks & Recreation for once again allowing us to use War Memorial Park for the event! \nPlease note that this is a “rain or shine” event with exception for unsafe inclement weather (e.g. lightning). Those who choose to participate should recognize that the suggested route will be open to the public and part of the loop will involve running along a sidewalk of a city street with vehicular traffic. Each individual is encouraged to use appropriate caution and is responsible for his or her own safety.  Additionally\, if runners choose to run outside the designated loop they need to do so at their own discretion\, as the streets around the park will be open to the public. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Last Chance Cup – Benefiting Arkansas Food Bank\n\nCurrently 1 in 6 Arkansans struggle to provide enough food for their family\, and 1 in 5 children in Arkansas are at risk for going hungry.  As the largest hunger-relief organization in the state\, The Arkansas Foodbank is the foundation in the fight against hunger. They find pathways to connect people\, resources and food to reach those in need\, providing dignity\, hope and a brighter future for all Arkansans. \nWe will once again be having a friendly competition for the Last Chance Run Cup that will culminate at midnight on December 31\, 2024.  The winning club will be determined based on the number of meals provided per club member with every $1 donated being equal to 5 meals.  In the first two years the event has raised nearly $16\,000 in donations and 2\,106 lbs of food were collected..  As a result more than 83\,000 meals were able to be provided to Arkansans because of the generosity of our running community!  Let’s continue to add to that amazing total this year! \n**Please note that we will only be doing online donations.  No food will be collected the day of the event. \nDonations are not required\, but are encouraged.  If you are part of a club please make any cash donations by clicking on the club name below.  If you aren’t part of a running club\, but wish to make a donation\, you can either donate on behalf of a club of your choice or visit www.arkansasfoodbank.org. \nArk Running Klub – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NGGAWBYK?member=SKMMXGCZ \nBlue Rose Running Co.  – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NHEAUQKN?member=SZMQZYKC \nCabot Country Cruisers – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NVEHZJFN?member=SKTLSCXT \nConway Running Club – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NLRJGUZY?member=SBYGNDTC \nLittle Rock Roadrunners  –  https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NBLCDFBD?member=SSAKFADS \nRiver Valley Runners – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NXLTLBGF?member=SCTHFPCE \nSaline County Striders – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NYBLZFES?member=SRFJRTXZ \nSpa Pacers – https://arkansasfoodbank.donorsupport.co/-/NYDSBDEN?member=SHBFYSGE

SUMMARY:CXMas in Little Rock
DESCRIPTION:Come play bikes with us! \nBut…What is cyclocross anyway?! \nWeellll…it’s kinda like if a road bike and a mountain bike and a cross country running event all got mashed together! \nCyclocross is the best spectator friendly cycling event there is. ‘Cross races are held on short 1.5 to 2 mile laps that will mostly consist of grass and sometimes mud but can include sand\, artificial barriers\, hills\, off camber sections\, forced runs\, and just about any dumb thing we can find in the park to make the race more fun to do but also to watch! We strive to make the race fun for everyone that comes out; from beginners and youth racers to the most experienced elite racers in Arkansas but especially to spectators! SHAM endeavors to make as much of the race course visible from as many spots along the way as possible\, but especially at the start/finish line so you can cheer on  your friends and family and all the other racers out for a fun day in the sun…or mud…or maybe snow…but probably mud! \nCXmas in Little Rock\nDate: Saturday\, December 21\, 2024\nVenue: War Memorial Park\, 5101 W Markham St\, Little Rock\, AR 72205 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTIME \n\n\nCATEGORY \n\n\nFIELD \n\n\nDURATION \n\n\nENTRY \n\n\nAWARDS \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nCat 1/2/3/4/5 Junior Male 15-18 \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nCat 1/2/3/4/5 Junior Female 15-18 \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nYouth Male 10-14 \n\n\n50 \n\n\n2 laps \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nYouth Female 10-14 \n\n\n50 \n\n\n2 laps \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nSinglespeed Cat 1/2/3/4/5 Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nSinglespeed Cat 1/2/3/4/5 Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30am \n\n\nCat 5 / Novice Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n10:30 am \n\n\nCat 5 / Novice Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n30 min \n\n\n$15 prereg\, $20 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n11:10 am \n\n\nCat 4 / 5 Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n40 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n11:10 am \n\n\nCat 4 / 5 Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n40 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n11:10 am \n\n\nMasters Cat 1/2/3/4/5 40-49 and 50+ Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n40 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n11:10 am \n\n\nMasters Cat 1/2/3/4/5 40-49 and 50+ Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n40 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n12:00 pm \n\n\nCat 3/4 Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n50 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n12:00 pm \n\n\nCat 3/4 Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n50 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\nPrizes/3 \n\n\n\n\n12:00 pm \n\n\nCat 1/2 Female \n\n\n50 \n\n\n50 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\n$50/$40/$30 \n\n\n\n\n12:00 pm \n\n\nCat 1/2 Male \n\n\n50 \n\n\n50 min \n\n\n$25 prereg\, $30 raceday \n\n\n$50/$40/$30 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDirections: Exit 630 onto University going North.
