SUMMARY:Beast of Burden
DESCRIPTION:Ozark Off-Road Cyclist and the Ozark Trail Runners unite to create the most epic 24 25 hour party you’ve ever experienced. Profits from this “race” will go to continued preservation and trail development on Mt. Kessler. Join us on November 2nd\, Mt. Kessler – Fayetteville\, Arkansas for a full day of partying in the dirt. Individuals or teams will take on the challenge to ride or run from 12pm on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday\, thanks to daylight savings time\, you get an extra hour for free! \nThe “Race” – 24 (+ 1 hour for free) hours of either mtb or trail running madness\, or….BOTH! The team/solo individual with the most laps wins. \nThe Course – The course will be comprised of 2 separate loops\, with participants rotating loops every 6 hours. Runners and riders will be on their own separate loops to minimize congestion. Each loop is roughly 4-6 miles long. One loop is easy\, one loop will have you dreaming cozy warmth of the campfire. \nThe Teams* – Teams must have a team captain (primary contact). Teams are either fully bike or fully run\, or dual sport and comprised of 2-4 participants on the Ultra team or 5-7 participants on the Endurance team (dual sport teams can have up to 8). You choose how much you want to work. Go for the win\, or occasionally exert yourself and spend the rest of the time throwing back Fossil Cove’s tasty beverages. 1 person does 90% of the work or split it evenly. It’s up to you! Each team will receive one timing chip (triathlon style band) that can only be exchanged in the Campout Zone. \nNote that run/ride teams will have 2 timing chips\, one can only used for running and one only for riding. So\, it is possible run/ride teams to have two participants on  the course at one time\, but only one of each discipline. \n*You can also choose to participate solo\, but remember\, no one asked you to do this. \nThe Party – Let’s be honest\, the whole thing is the party\, but since you asked. Dinner and breakfast provided. Trailside Coffee starting at when the bell tolls 12. Bumping tunes. Team Spirit competition.  Fire pits burning through the night and more to come. Also\, Rise Physical Therapy will keeping participants feeling fresh and limber\, while Phat Tire will be keeping them bikes uh’ rollin’\,

SUMMARY:Tour de Pumpkin
DESCRIPTION:The 17 mile route will be the same as previous years. An aid station will be available in London at the old City Hall parking lot. \nThe 30 mile route has two deviations from previous years’ route. This year the route will turn left on Whorton Mountain Rd off of Will Baker Rd\, then turn right on Martin Chapel School Rd. This change will bypass a section of hwy 333 and avoid an area known to have aggressive dogs.  A new location for an aid station will be at Martin Chapel. Restrooms will be available. The second deviation is from Mill Creek Rd at East Point Baptist Church. Turn right onto Bailey Loop and follow to the end and turn right onto Mill Creek Rd. This change is to avoid Mill Creek Rd that has seen increased vehicle traffic with no shoulder. \nThis years event is purposefully minimal with no T-shirt and a lower registration fee. Efforts are underway to drastically improve the Tour de Pumpkin event for 2026 through a joint cooperative committee and business sponsorship. The goal is to offer a quality supported event with a post ride meal\, t-shirt\, swag bag\, and improved routes and aid stations. \nStarting at 10 am a balance bike course will be available in Downtown (at Denver and B Street) for children under 8 years old. This is a free course complete with bikes and helmets. \nCostumes are highly encourage for all participants.

SUMMARY:Race the Base Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Race the Base Trail Run Returns to Pinnacle Mountain State Park This Fall! \nThe Race the Base\, a 4-mile competitive trail run\, is returning to Pinnacle Mountain State Park October 25\, 2025\, with all the fan favorites – plus a few new additions. Featuring the Base Trail at Pinnacle Mountain State Park\, a scenic loop trail that encircles the base of Pinnacle Mountain just west of Little Rock\, first-time participants can expect a moderately challenging trail run through the shaded hardwood forest surrounding one of Arkansas’ most prominent natural landmarks. \nThe race begins on gravel\, switches to paved trails\, and finishes with 2.75 miles of technical single track – with a little surprise thrown in towards the end. Known as “Joe’s Revenge”\, participants will be competing for new King (and Queen) of the Mountain awards for the fastest to run up a daunting forest road that rises some 200 feet in just 1/3 of a mile. It’s all downhill from there (literally)\, as racers vie for their chance to win a “rock” – unique hand painted trophies awarded to the top three male and female participants in several age-based categories. \nThis year’s Race the Base coincides with National Trick or Treat Day (celebrated the last Saturday of October)\, and participants are encouraged to extend their Halloween celebrations by competing in costumes – with crowd favorites awarded something appropriately silly during post-race festivities. The morning also includes the Kingfisher Kids Run – a free kids run on the 3/4-mile paved Kingfisher Trail at approximately 10:00 a.m. No fee\, no frills\, just fun for kids aged 12 and under. Parents are welcome to run\, walk\, or stroll with their kids\, too. \nAfter a decade of production by Partners for Pinnacle\, a nonprofit that has worked to support Pinnacle Mountain State Park\, the race will be produced by Ozark Foundation beginning in 2025 – but participants should expect the same family-friendly festivities that have made Race the Base a popular event for the last decade. \nRace day parking and the starting line will be in Stuckey Field at Barrett Rd and HWY 300 opposite the Pinnacle Mountain State Park entrance located at 9600 AR-300\, Roland\, AR 72135. Start time for Race the Base is 9 a.m.\, with the Kingfisher Kids Run beginning at 10 a.m. \nAwards are three deep for the overall male and female\, and age groups categories by gender for under 19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59 and 60+. \nRace the Base is capped at 250 runners. Online registration is only $35.00 before midnight on October 24\, 2025\, and includes a commemorative technical t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Onsite race day registration is available for $40. If 250 runners are registered prior to race day\, there will be no race day registrations. \nPre-race packet pickup for Race the Base will be on Friday\, October 24th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet\, located at 11525 Cantrell Rd\, Little Rock\, AR 72212. Race day check-in begins at 7 a.m. at Stuckey Field.

SUMMARY:Hare Mountain 100
DESCRIPTION:The Hare Mountain 100 is a graduate level run. It is extremely difficult. Big climbs and relentless smaller\, steep climbs in between.\nThis trail is hiked by thousands of people every year. It’s not a primitive\, unmarked trail by any means. It is a National Scenic Trail.\nBut\, please do not sign up if you are not comfortable with:\n-being self sufficient\n-limited extra marking beyond trail blazes and wooden trail signs\n-navigation\n-carrying a little extra gear for your safety.\n-long distances between major aid stations\nA GPS tracking device with the course GPX downloaded is a requirement. It will be checked during check-in to make sure you have it. While the trail is marked very well with white blazes for the main trail and blue blazes for the spurs\, turns can be missed. Sometimes trees fall where the trail turns. Sometimes the tree with the blaze falls. Sometimes leaves cover the trail. Sometimes it’s foggy. It’s the wilderness. It’s a raw and incredible experience. Be confident you can stay/get back on course.\nThis is a point-to-point 100 mile adventure run that incorporates 2 scenic spur loops along the Ozark Highlands Trail. It is located in the Northwestern part of Arkansas across the Boston Mountain segment.\nHare Mountain is the highest point on the OHT at ~2400 feet. This segment covers 164 miles of rocky\, steep and rugged hardwood and pine forests. There are several creek crossings\, incredible fall colors\, waterfalls\, bluffs and beautiful sandstone outcrops. I’m utilizing 100 miles of the most difficult sections of this segment. I grew up on this trail. It means a lot to me to bring such a wild and challenging experience to runners.\nMeasurements taken by GPS and topographic mapping have put elevation gain between 20\,000-24\,400 feet. It depends on the device/app. Runners will have 38 hours to complete the 100 mile run.\nQuestions contact: haremountain100@gmail.com\nWebsite: https://www.haremountain100.com/\nPart of the proceeds of the race will go to local animal shelters\, a fund to help pay for after hours emergency veterinary care and the OHTA.\nFollow:\nhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/216147591049546/\nhttps://www.instagram.com/haremountain100 \nThe Trail \n\nhttps://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/osfnf/recreation/hiking/recarea/?recid=43467&actid=50#:~:text=The%20Ozark%20Highlands%20Trail%20(OHT\,into%20the%20Sylamore%20Ranger%20District. \nThe 50 mile\nThe 50 mile is really hard as well but I strongly encourage it if you have not finished a trail 100 before.\nIt covers the second\, more difficult half\, of the 100 course. Elevation gain is between 10\,000 and 12\,000 feet depending on device/app.\nIt starts at 5am Saturday October 25th at Indian Creek TH on HWY 215. \nHare Mountain 200\nNext year\, 2025\, if it all comes together\, we’re expecting to start the Hare Mountain 200 the day before the 100 start. SUMMARY:2025 Dogtown Beer Down - Beer Mile
DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, October 11th\, for the Fifth Annual Argenta Beer Mile! \nWhat is the Beer Mile? \n***Drink 4 beers and run 4 laps on the designated course in style as quickly as you can.***\nEach competitor drinks four cans of beer and runs four laps around a 1/4 mile course (start with chugging a beer\, then run a lap\, then beer\, then lap\, then beer\, then lap\, then beer\, then lap – finish).\nBeer must be consumed before the lap begins within the transition area. The transition area is the zone at the start/finish line for a mile race.\nThe race begins with competitors lined up on the mile starting line\, drinking the first beer in the transition zone described in the step above. This ensures competitors cover a complete mile. Competitors can walk/move in the transition area while drinking\, but all beer must be consumed in the transition area before setting off to run a lap.\nCompetitors must drink canned beer that is no less than 355mL (12 Oz) in volume\, which is the standard can/bottle size in the USA and some other countries. The Root Beer Mile substitutes canned root beer. \nBe sure to be ready to run at the time you have selected!  Packet Pickup starts at 11:00 AM.  Your heat will start at the time you selected. \nThe race start is in the Argenta Plaza on Main Street\, downtown North Little Rock.\nThere will be multiple heats\, and prizes awarded for top male and female competitors\, as well as for most dramatic finish!\nProceeds will benefit the Recycle Bikes for Kids. Learn more about the Recycle Bikes For Kids at https://www.recyclebikesforkids.org\nMore details coming soon! \nPre-race Packet Pickup at Flyway 10/10 starting at 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM. \nRace Day Packet Pickup will start at 11:00 AM at the Plaza on Main Street in Argenta.

SUMMARY:Stride For A Cure: 5K for Breast Cancer Awareness
DESCRIPTION:We’re back for Year 2! Join us for the 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness\, hosted by Dr. Kim Leverett — breast cancer survivor and owner of A Kick Above: A Personal Training Studio.\nKim spent 10 years as a full-time pharmacist before following her passion for fitness and wellness. She transitioned into personal training to help others move beyond managing symptoms to truly living well. In 2013\, after a routine mammogram\, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her treatment included six rounds of chemotherapy and 35 rounds of radiation. Remarkably\, throughout her treatment\, she continued to train clients and maintain her own workouts — often without anyone knowing what she was facing. Kim credits her faith in Christ\, her fitness foundation\, and the support of her clients for carrying her through.\nNow cancer-free since 2014\, Kim is on a mission to empower others to prioritize their health and wellness. This annual event is her way of giving back\, spreading awareness\, and honoring all those impacted by breast cancer. Net proceeds will benefit the Arkansas Cancer Coalition. Let’s continue to stride together for a cure! \nWhat to expect:\n● Race Day shirt for participants registered before Sep 1st\n● Medal for fun walkers & competitive runners\n● Chip timing with live results for competitive runners\n● Snacks and water at the finish line\n● A positive\, uplifting\, family-friendly atmosphere! \nRegistration:\n● Early Bird (through September 1st): $35\n● Regular (after September 1st): $45\n● Register by September 1st to guarantee your race shirt! Registrants after September 1st will not receive a shirt.

SUMMARY:2025 RAT 1000 and Mini RAT
DESCRIPTION:RAT 1000 Mile Gravel Stage Race\, RAT 1000 Self Supported Group Departure for ITT\, RAT 1000 mile gravel stage party\, Mini RAT & Tiny RAT. Plan to join us because these will be memories that last forever. \nPlease note that the expectation is for all riders to adhere to the Traffic Codes for each state that they ride in at all times. Failure to operate bicycles safely and properly can lead to disqualification. Littering can lead to disqualification. Trespassing can lead to disqualification and might also get you shot. Don’t do any of these things. More details soon! \nPlanned RAT Stage Race/Party Distances (subject to modification). This is for the folks who want to travel as a group and gather together at the same overnight location each night. \nStage 1 Saturday 6am Start from Texarkana\n140 miles\, 2852ft\, ends in Paris \nStage 2 Sunday Start TBD\n127 miles\, 3700ft\, ends in Denison \nStage 3 Monday Start TBD\n141 miles\, 4782ft\, ends in Henrietta \nStage 4 Tuesday Start TBD\n125 miles\, 2330ft\, ends in Vernon \nStage 5 Wednesday Start TBD\n104 miles\, 2417ft\, ends in Childress \nStage 6 Thursday Start TBD (please note\, this could change to Tulia)\n102 miles\, 4511ft\, ends in Silverton (camping only) \nStage 7 Friday Start TBD\n124 miles\, 2188ft\, ends in Vega \nStage 8 Saturday Start TBD\n139 miles\, 3333ft\, ends in Tucumcari \nSelf Supported ITT is essentially “Tour Divide” rules. Riders are only allowed to utilize assistance available to the general public under normal business and agency operating conditions. The clock starts as soon as the rider starts and doesn’t end until the rider finishes. Live tracking is required as well as publicly available tracking logs. Approved assistance exceptions are typically allowed during Group Depart week from approved “Trail Angels”. \nMini RAT is for anyone who wants to follow the RAT route with no expectation of completing the full route. Ride as many (or as few) as fits into your schedule. We have a single weekend route for people who want to pedal back to DFW: Mini RAT Day 1 140 Miles Texarkana to Paris\nMini RAT Day 2 110 miles Paris to Rowlett Train Station. \nThe Tiny RAT is a 150 mile lollipop from Farmersville to Paris and back which primarily utilizes the NETT. Saturday night overnight in Paris is included which offers the opportunity to socialize with the RAT riders as they come into Paris. Please note\, this is not an “easy” ride. 75 miles each day is likely to feel more like 100 on these sections of the NETT. Self navigation capability is EXTREMELY important. We will provide the route but it will not be verified before hand. It is likely that on the fly adjustments to the route may be needed\, particularly in the case of inclement weather.
