DESCRIPTION:Ozark Off-Road Cyclist and the Ozark Trail Runners unite to create the most epic 24 25 hour party you’ve ever experienced. Profits from this “race” will go to continued preservation and trail development on Mt. Kessler. Join us on November 2nd\, Mt. Kessler – Fayetteville\, Arkansas for a full day of partying in the dirt. Individuals or teams will take on the challenge to ride or run from 12pm on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday\, thanks to daylight savings time\, you get an extra hour for free! \nThe “Race” – 24 (+ 1 hour for free) hours of either mtb or trail running madness\, or….BOTH! The team/solo individual with the most laps wins. \nThe Course – The course will be comprised of 2 separate loops\, with participants rotating loops every 6 hours. Runners and riders will be on their own separate loops to minimize congestion. Each loop is roughly 4-6 miles long. One loop is easy\, one loop will have you dreaming cozy warmth of the campfire. \nThe Teams* – Teams must have a team captain (primary contact). Teams are either fully bike or fully run\, or dual sport and comprised of 2-4 participants on the Ultra team or 5-7 participants on the Endurance team (dual sport teams can have up to 8). You choose how much you want to work. Go for the win\, or occasionally exert yourself and spend the rest of the time throwing back Fossil Cove’s tasty beverages. 1 person does 90% of the work or split it evenly. It’s up to you! Each team will receive one timing chip (triathlon style band) that can only be exchanged in the Campout Zone. \nNote that run/ride teams will have 2 timing chips\, one can only used for running and one only for riding. So\, it is possible run/ride teams to have two participants on the course at one time\, but only one of each discipline. \n*You can also choose to participate solo\, but remember\, no one asked you to do this. \nThe Party – Let’s be honest\, the whole thing is the party\, but since you asked. DESCRIPTION:100 mile Friday November 1st-7am-Haw Creek Falls\n50 mile Saturday November 2nd-6am-Indian Creek TH\nThis run is extremely difficult.\nThe Ozark Highland’s Trail is a national scenic trail marked with white blazes for the main trail and blue blazes for spurs. Do not count on flagging. It will be minimal if any. We are going to add more blazes and reflective tape to those blazes. Please do not register for this race if you are not comfortable being self sufficient and comfortable with navigation. Sometimes trees with markers fall and sometimes the fog is so thick you cannot see your hands. Gaia is highly recommended.\nNo one finished the full\, original course the inaugural running October 2023. \nThe Hare Mountain 100 is a point-to-point 100 mile run\, that incorporates 2 scenic loops\, along the Ozark Highlands Trail in the Northwestern part of Arkansas across the Boston Mountain segment. Hare Mountain is the highest point on the OHT at nearly 2400 feet. This segment covers 164 miles of rocky\, steep and rugged forest with several creek crossings\, incredible fall colors\, waterfalls\, bluffs and beautiful sandstone outcrops. I’m utilizing 100 miles of the most difficult sections of this segment. I grew up on this trail and it means a lot to me to bring such a rugged and beautiful experience to runners. \nIn 2023 I offered a 100k and 50 mile at the same time as the 100. The 100k will be at a different time of year now. The 50 mile will be the second\, and more difficult\, half of the 100 course. It will start at Indian Creek TH at 6am on Saturday. The cutoff is 16 hours. \nTo run the 100\, it is highly recommended that you have completed at least a 50 mile race on trail with at least 5000 feet of vertical gain. Measurements taken by GPS and topographic mapping have put elevation gain between 20\,000-22\,000 feet. Runners will have 38 hours to complete the 100 mile run.\nRunners must sign a waiver when registering. There will be a donation can to cover the cost of the permit $530.\n7:00-7:45 AM Runner check in at Fat Jack’s Oyster Sports Bar & Grill\, 101 Central Ave\, Hot Springs\, AR 71901\n7:45 AM Mandatory pre-race briefing\n7:55 AM Runners walk across Central Avenue and assemble at the Canyon Trailhead next to the Mountain Valley Water building\n8:00 AM Race Start\nRunners must remain on trails at all time. Bushwhacking is not allowed.\nRunners must run in single file and pass only when there is room.\nRunners must be courteous and yield right of way to other trail users. The trail is used by hikers\, tourists and even horse riders. We do not have exclusive use of the trails. The National Park was kind enough to allow this race to be held provided we do not interfere with other users of the trail.\nIf you come upon a horse\, do not startle it. Make sure the horse & rider know you are there before you get too close.\nIf nature calls\, make sure you leave no trace.\nThe trail crosses 6 roads. Use caution. Stop and look both ways. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a bike camping overnighter! Starting near downtown Bentonville ( exact location coming soon)\, we’ll ride 6 miles on gravel to Bike Camp Pea Ridge. We’ll camp there overnight\, returning to our starting location in the morning. \nCampers need to bring all of their own camping gear\, however\, we have some equipment available to loan if needed. Campers are encouraged to carry their own gear\, however a support vehicle will be available for any gear that isn’t able to be carried on your bicycle. \nAll Bodies on Bikes will provide the route\, light refreshments and snacks at camp\, campfire wood and s’mores supplies. Campers should bring their own dinner\, breakfast\, and snacks. A store is available within biking distance to camp\, and pizza will be ordered for those who are interested in a pizza dinner. \nPlease register in advance here. \n$10 Registration fee per person covers campsite\, firewood & s’mores \nStarting Location: Valley View School\, Price Coffee Road\, Bentonville\, AR \nRideWithGPS Route \n  \nFAQ: \nCan I bring my kids? \nKids are welcome\, however\, all riders need to independently be able to ride 6 miles each way on gravel roads. \nWhat kind of bike should I ride? \nA bike that is capable of riding on gravel roads (Sugar Creek is our main road) and carrying your gear. SUMMARY:Arkansas NICA Race 4 - Champions Weekend
DESCRIPTION:One of the great things about a NICA League\, which separates us from other youth cycling development programs\, is we produce our own youth-specific events. This means we pick out race venues and work directly with landowners and managers to produce the highest quality youth development racecourses and events. The student-athletes get a stage of their own\, away from adult competitions\, and we strive for safety and fun above all other factors. \nThe Arkansas League will produce a total of 7 events in 2024.  On our Time Trial weekend we will have a special Race Clinic Event on that Saturday aimed at getting more girls on bikes in addition to allowing newer riders have a practice race\, attend a race clinic and do their first mass start.  Followed by a Prelude Time Trial and 4 races in the fall.  New for 2024 we have 2 Regions.  Plains (Central\, South and NE Arkansas) and Plateaus (NWA and OK generally).    The competitive racing will consist of 2 regional events\, and 2 All league Events.   We will crown regional champions at the end of Race 3 based of total points and also have a true “winner take all” State Championship Event at Race 4.  Athletes must have attended atleast 2 prior races to be eligible to win the State Championship.

There will be vendors there starting at 1pm\, a dog and dog/human duo costume contest at 2pm\, and the run will start at 3pm. There will even be a few zombies! Zombies\, you say? Oh yes\, ZOMBIES! Unfortunately\, for the safety of racers and dogs\, we will not allow dogs in the race event. If you decide to bring your animal\, they must be leashed at all times! \nBASIC SURVIVAL\nBefore the race\, you will be given flags just like the overly intimidating game of flag football. These flags represent your health. \nThe zombies want to take your flags and maybe eat your brains.\nIf you lose all your health flags\, you will be considered infected!\nIf you finish with a flag\, you will be awarded with the survivor prize.\n*NOTE* If you form and run with a TEAM\, and if any member of that team survives with a flag\, the ENTIRE team receives the “Survivor” medal!  The perfect reason to recruit your friends to be Zombie-fodder! Teams must consist of no more/less than 4 members. \nWHAT YOU’RE UP AGAINST\nThere will be zombies. Their job is to chase you and eat you — but mainly go after your health\, in the form of your flag belt. Avoid the zombies to keep your health flags.\nUse speed\, strategy and your intact brains to make it to the FINISH LINE “alive” with at least ONE FLAG INTACT. If you finish with zero health flags\, this means the zombies have successfully transformed you into the “undead”. There will be a start line\, and a finish line\, and the opportunity to avoid Zombies in between.

DESCRIPTION:Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes\, the 1/4 mile\, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. \nPricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week\, a runner shirt\, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event. \nChallenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents\, siblings\, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches\, braces\, wheelchairs\, etc. to be used by runners. \nMakeup Date Information: 10/20/2024 \nSingle Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration\, race bib\, and a runner shirt while supplies last. Shirt sizing and availability is not guaranteed for single day racers. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab at the top of the page for instructions). DESCRIPTION:Bugle Bolt Paige Slape Memorial 5k \n***Register by October 4 for tshirt*** \nCome run this beautiful fast course with lest than 70 feet of elevation change through the entire course. This will be a great time to run and see the fall colors at their peak. This is also the season for hearing the elk bugle throughout Ponca and the Boxley Valley. After the race you could hike the Lost Valley Trail\, Hawksbill Craig\, The Buffalo River Trail or go see triple falls within just a few minutes drive. Directions to the nearest trails will be in everyone’s grab bags to make this a full family fun day. \nProceeds from the race will be supporting the Paige Slape Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund\, established in 2008\, honors the memory of Alyssa Paige Slape. She was extremely active in all functions at Jasper High School\, Newton County\, Arkansas\, an outstanding student deeply loved and respected by students\, faculty\, and anyone who had been fortunate enough to know her. \nHer family and friends felt the best way to honor and remember Paige would be the creation of a fund to help the type of student and individual that she so personified. \nEach year\, three students from the area will be given a scholarship in whatever amount the fund can afford to provide. This fund is a nonprofit organization and all members volunteer their services with compensation.

Every cent of the net proceeds from the Survivors’ Challenge ensures the provision of essential programs and services to cancer patients and their families within our community. \nAre YOU ready to take on the challenge? Don’t hesitate! Register TODAY to show your support for a loved one battling this disease. Let’s lace up those sneakers and unite in making our community a better place for families confronting the hardships of cancer. \n*Participants registered by October 4th are guaranteed a Swag Bag and T-shirt at packet pick-up. Registrations after October 4th will receive a t-shirt at a later date. \n**Packet pick-up will be held on Friday\, October 18th\, from 12pm-7pm at The Cancer Support House. On race day\, Saturday\, October 19th\, packet pick-up will be available from 6:45am-7:50am in front of the Cancer Support House. \n***Please note: There will be NO race day registration. DESCRIPTION:On October 19th\, Mountain Home High School and Junior High Cross Country will be hosting its annual Run With The Bulls fundraiser! Proceeds will benefit MHHS and MHJH Cross Country teams. All participants such as runners\, walkers\, strollers\, dogs\, etc are welcome! \nThere will be both 5k and 1 mi Fun Run races. 5k Registrants will receive a t-shirt (t-shirts will not be provided for 1 mi run fun). \nRegistration and packet pickup will open at 7:00AM. The 5k will start at 8:00AM and the Mile Fun Run will start at 8:05AM from 500 Bomber Blvd. Mountain Home\, AR 27653 near the Bomber plane on the MHHS campus. \nAwards will be given to overall male and female runners as well as the top 3 finishers in each age group: \n10 and Under\, 11-14\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-up.

DESCRIPTION:This is an all-weather event. Registration fees are non-refundable. In case of thunderstorms\, the race will be delayed or made virtual. The cash prizes will not be awarded if the race is made virtual.  Please join our FB page for event updates.  \nDid You Know?\nOn December 31\, 2010\, thousands of red-winged blackbirds mysteriously fell from the skies of our small town.  The bizarre event made national headlines and happened again in 2011 on a smaller scale.  Although the event was unfortunate and uncontrollable\, it was an occurrence that created quite the buzz in Beebe! \nRace Details\nPlease join the Beebe Chamber of Commerce for our 5th Annual Fallin’ Blackbird 5k Fundraiser!  The proceeds from this event are used to fund community events throughout the year as well as scholarships for Beebe students. \nThis fun and exciting 5k is our favorite way to kick off the entire Fallin’ Blackbird Festival!!  We encourage you to be creative with thematic race attire and fully enjoy the day! The Fallin’ Blackbird 5k will be professionally timed by MacDonald Timing. Each participant who completes the race will receive a race t-shirt and medal! Additionally\, we will have placement medals for several age categories.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!
