SUMMARY:22nd Annual Buffalo Headwaters Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Buffalo Headwaters Challenge presented by Adventure Subaru is a three-day\, all-inclusive\, “off the grid” mountain bike festival. It includes 5 meals\, libations\, primitive tent and RV camping\, live music\, and amazing trails\, highlighted by the annual “Challenge” ride on Saturday\, January 30th\, 2027. The “Challenge” ride consists of a 35-50 mile semi-supported back country mountain bike experience. It’s a ride\, not a race… just finishing is winning. There will be bailout options. \nIMPORTANT! This is our annual fundraiser for the club and goes a long way in providing the needed tools and materials that go into the 10\,000 hours plus volunteers put in each year. A large portion of this years proceeds will go directly into trail maintenance at the headwaters. With that in mind this is a non refundable event. If weather becomes an issue we will reschedule event to a later date but will not be offering refunds. Thank you for your understanding. \nAll attendees will receive a pair of custom event socks. \nComplete your challenge and receive your patch once you check back in. \nWe will have post ride yoga on Saturday. \nOur friends with Ozark Gravel Cyclists will be leading and amazing gravel ride on Sunday. \n-A limited number of primitive RV spots are available for an additional $25.00. (no hook ups\, you are paying for the space) \n-For 5 meals\,  live bands\, free beverages\,  killer routes \, amazing humans\, and a special swag bag you aren’t going to find a better deal! \nDinners provided by Phat Tire Bike Shop\,  and  OORC. \nThanks for you continued support and much gratitude to all of our sponsors. \nBeverages by  Fossil Cove Brewery\, Liquor World and the OORC \nBreakfasts provided by Ozark Natural Foods and the OORC.

All distances are on the Ozark Highlands Trail and spurs. \nYou can camp at Shores Lake and grab a hot shower. Lots of food and fellowship at the pavilion. And\, if you gravel bike\, bring it along because some of the best anywhere is here.\nPart of the proceeds go to the OHTA for maintaining the trail\, Johnson County SAR\, Franklin County SAR and Arkansas Alliance of Bloodhound Specialists.
