DESCRIPTION:The Big Dam Bridge 100 is an annual event in central Arkansas that celebrates the “Big Dam Bridge” over the Arkansas River. The 4\,226-foot bridge is the longest bridge built for pedestrian and bicycle traffic in North America. It connects over 40 miles of scenic riverside trails between Little Rock and North Little Rock. It also serves as the backbone for connecting over 70\,000 acres of various city\, county\, state & federal parks. \nThe BDB 100 offers several routes ranging between 15 and 105 miles\, with beautiful mountain and river scenery\, as well as a few challenging hills on the longer routes. The event provides participants with well-marked courses\, fun aid stations with tasty treats and beverages\, great volunteer support\, event t-shirt\, a unique finisher medal\, post-ride food and drinks along with a unique finish-line experience.

DESCRIPTION:The Hillfolk Hootenanny is a weekend-long festival that celebrates our community of dirt. \nOur goal with Dirt Movement events is to create courses and experiences that are shared as much as possible by all participants. It doesn’t matter if you’re running 3 miles or riding 50 miles. We are one community with one purpose—get outside and move. \nA festival celebration of dirt and community. We love to eat (a lot)\, drink (beer or buch)\, and be merry (rock out to local music). \nFormat\nThe Hillfolk Hootenanny is a two-day festival with rides\, runs\, food\, music\, creek swims\, and community! We have built the weekend so that you have multiple opportunities to participate in rides and runs while not missing an opportunity to sit on a log and listen to some live music with a cold beverage in hand. You can choose to participate in one\, two\, or three of the cycling and running events throughout the weekend. You also have the option to skip the bike and runs and just camp out\, listen to music\, and have some great food! \nUnpaved Runs\nThis isn’t your classic race! On Saturday morning\, we host a run on various unpaved surfaces over a number of distances. There may be creek crossings and an obstacle or two in your way\, so be ready. Anything is possible! \nGravel Rides\nThere will be a 15-mile shake-out ride on Saturday afternoon to allow riders to loosen up before taking on Sunday’s epic routes. And we don’t use the word epic lightly – just look at those elevation profiles. Enjoy the climb the locals have lovingly named “Booger Hill”. She’s a beaut. \nArtist Point Climb\nThe Artist Point Climb is one of the unique bike events for the weekend. This 13-mile paved climb takes you up 1\,500 feet to an amazing view of the Ozark Mountains and Lake Fort Smith. This event is part of The Chester Challenge. Participation in the Artist Point Climb is included with registering for any of Sunday’s gravel rides. \nThe Chester Challenge\nThe Chester Challenge is the pinnacle event of the weekend. Anyone who completes a run\, the Artist Point climb\, and a route on Sunday’s gravel day will receive this prestigious award.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in supporting children in need by registering for The Great 5K Pumpkin Run Event. \nThis event will take place at the Train Depot in Lonoke that offers a professionally chip-timed race and a 1 mile family fun run. The course takes runners\, walkers and trotters on a USATF certified course winding its way throughout Lonoke neighborhoods that loops back to the Finish Line. \nThe cost for the in-person event is $30 per person if registering before 11:59 p.m. EST on August 15th\, and price increases to $35 until  (additional increase in fees for same-day registration) and $10 (same-day registration fees increase) for the 1M Family Trot. Proceeds from all events benefit foster children housed at Lonoke Open Arms. \nRegistration Fee includes chipped-bib and an event shirt. \n1M Family Trotters will receive a shirt\, pumpkin and a participation medal at the Finish Line. \nWe offer a Virtual Run option for those that cannot make it to the event. \nPacket Pick Up: \nPacket Pick Up and Registration : We are offering early packet pickup at Rock City Running in Little Rock on Thursday\, September 26th\, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will have packet pickup on Friday\, 4-7pm at the Train Depot in Lonoke. We encourage you to pick up your packet early.You may pick up for others with a copy or picture of their photo ID. DESCRIPTION:The Chief Referee Workshop is a class that focuses on leadership and teamwork skills\, applied to procedures and best practices for all Chief Referees. This class is a component of the B upgrade process described on the official’s advancement and upgrade page. \nYou qualify for this class if you are a Category C official who has been working through the upgrade modules\, working on skill improvements\, and tracking your progress through self-assessment and feedback from more experienced officials. The expectation is that officials are ready to advance with an overall self-assessment score of at least 70% at “Developing skill” or higher. This class is also helpful for new B officials who would like to develop and expand on leadership and problem-solving skills to become a better Chief Referee and crew member. \nThe agenda will include: \n\nYour role and responsibilities while working with the promoter and staff\nManaging the event and your officiating crew on race day\nLeadership and problem solving\, handling race day developments\nPost event review\, crew meetings\, and USAC reporting\n\nThe current plan is to start the course on Friday evening\, October 3 and wrap up by noon on Sunday\, October 5. The course will be taught by USA Cycling Official\, Eve Ben-Ora. \nWe will need at least 10 registered participants by the deadline\, in order to move forward with the course. Once registration closes\, we will provide additional information on lodging options. \nAttendees will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses to attend the courses.

SUMMARY:Steady Steve 5K
DESCRIPTION:The Steady Steve 5K on Batesville’s Westside honors the legacy of Stephen Raviscioni\, who worked tirelessly with his loving wife\, Autumn\, to establish Our Father’s Table food ministry. Stephen had also turned to running for fitness and health in a big way before COVID-19 came along. He was stricken with a severe case and we lost his graceful service to the hungry and poor. \nAutumn continues the mission at Our Father’s Table\, and the Steady Steve 5K will help meet the ongoing needs of so many among us. The nonprofit ministry has distributed sack lunches as a street outreach on Saturdays since 2012 and now serves hot meals two nights a week. Our Father’s Table seeks to build nurturing relationships with the hungry and to point them to additional resources in our community for any other needs they may have. \nThe race will begin and end at the Our Father’s Table facility and all proceeds will go to the ministry. (Supporters may fetch a printable flier\, sponsorship form\, and paper entry form attached below.) Entrants may make a donation above and beyond the race fee. The online entry fee is $25\, plus a small transaction fee\, until 6 p.m. Oct. 3. Race-day registration will be $30 from 6:30-7:30 a.m. \nThe race route (see map below) runs through Batesville’s Westside passing West Elementary School. Entrants registered by Sept. 22 will receive a T-shirt in requested size in their packets\, with later entries receiving shirts first-come first-served at packet pickup while supplies last. Awards will be for Top 3 male\, Top 3 female in Runner and Walker divisions\, and finishers award for all.

The Growing Minds Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides medical scholarships to children with special needs in Arkansas. After two successful races\, we are hoping to have an even BIGGER and BETTER turnout this year! Get EXCITED!!!! Because we are changing the course up a bit! The new course will still start and end at the Black River Overlook Park located across the Hwy from First Horizon Bank. Each participant will receive a medal with additional medals given out to over all winners and age group winners. After the completion of the 5K\, stick around for drinks and snack or make your way over to The Growing Minds Found Fall Festival.

DESCRIPTION:To kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness month\, #teamcorrie Cancer Foundation is hosting the 13th Annual Paint the Town Pink on Saturday\, October 4\, 2025\, at 8:00 a.m. with a family friendly 5k Color Run/Walk through the beautiful downtown El Dorado. \nThis event is an opportunity for people of all ages to gather and show their support for #teamcorrie and all of those affected by this evil disease. All proceeds will be used by the #teamcorrie Cancer Foundation to continue their mission to help Union County cancer warriors by providing monetary grants to offset medical expenses incurred by their cancer treatments. \nWe will have the Leslie Darden Memorial 5k for those wanting to run with awards for 1-3 place finishes in both male and female divisions. Please note this is not an official\, timed event.

It is a moderately challenging course with periodic rolling hills offering a unique running experience. Water will be available at the midway point. DESCRIPTION:Lace up your running shoes and join us for the RVR Running for a Pawpose 5k! This charity run is a chance to enjoy a beautiful morning while making a tangible difference in the lives of animals in need. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Furry Tails Rescue\, a local no-kill\, foster-based dog rescue dedicated to saving abandoned and stray dogs. \nThe run will take place at 8am. in Merritt Park in Dardanelle\, AR. We’ll have awards for the overall male and female runners and walkers. \nEvery step you take and every dollar you donate helps Furry Tails Rescue continue its vital work. Since its founding in 2014\, this 100% volunteer-run organization has rescued and rehomed nearly 6\,000 dogs. As a foster-based rescue\, all dogs receive personalized care in loving homes\, not kennels. The money raised from this event will help cover essential veterinary costs—from basic spay/neuter surgeries to more extensive treatments for heartworm and injuries. While the adoption fees only cover a fraction of these costs\, your support helps bridge the financial gap and ensures that every dog gets a second chance at a happy\, healthy life. \nWe will be collecting donations at the event for the following items\, for every item you donate you will get an entry into our raffle for some of our wonderful prizes. \nDry and canned dog food (no Gravy Train\, please) \nPuppy pads \nClorox wipes \n10×10 or larger tarps \nZip ties \nGas gift cards \nStainless steel bowls \nSmall swimming pools \nBox fans \nExtension cords \nWater hoses \nAutomatic feeders \nStall rakes \nTogether\, we can make a difference—one paw at a time. DESCRIPTION:4th Annual Pink Out 5k walk/run! This is a well marked and supervised\, flat and fast course through the neighborhoods surrounding Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The route is filled with Powder stops and there are giveaways along the way! If you’re not into the “powder thing” there are lanes designated so you can stay on course\, but avoid the flying flakes. Event organizers want this to be a family affair! Awards are given for first place overall in women’s and men’s divisions. First and second place certificates (in 10 year age groups\, starting with ages 10 and below) will also be up for grabs – to be printed post-event and available for pick up on Tuesday\, October 15th. \nAll proceeds for this race go to the Jefferson Regional Foundation to help support the Jefferson Regional Breast Center! Surely there’s no better and more worthy way to spend a Saturday morning this fall!
