DESCRIPTION:Join us in Birdeye for our first ever running event!  First up is a 17 miler point-to-point from Harrisburg back to the farm\, followed by a 5k trail run on handbuilt single track\, and wrap the day with a flat mile through on a groomed path through the pasture.  Here’s a fun slideshow about running on Crowley’s Ridge. \nIf you register for the 17 mile run the other events (5k and 1 mile) are free. Consider this a marathon training day! \nThis run is part of the Birdeye Gravel Festival – a rally style event for runners and cyclists\, mixing it up with music\, food\, and other fun cultural activities. It’s a true one-of-a-kind experience on Crowley’s Ridge that you do not want to miss. \nAs autumn paints the landscape in vibrant hues\, immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry and scenic beauty of Arkansas’ Delta region.  Rolling dirt routes that traverse the ridge\, farmland\, levees\, and historic country lanes are the main event. \n\nRewarding Running Terrain – Explore the beautiful countryside of Eastern Arkansas\nLocal Flavors – Savor farm-to-table cuisine and lose yourself in the region’s culinary delights.\nDistinctive – Crowley’s Ridge offers a unique blend of authentic charm and outdoor adventure in a setting that is both a geographical and ecological anomaly.\nWarm Hospitality – Experience the genuine warmth and friendliness of the Arkansas Delta\, house-party style.\nLive Music – Enjoy a vibrant music scene that showcases local talent.\n\nRegistration gets athletes a full day of fun including post-race beverages\, snacks\, a delicious meal and amazing music! \nEVENT SCHEDULE –> Saturday 11/9  \n\n8:30 am  – 17 Mile runner meeting\n9am – Bus leaves for Harrisburg\n3pm – 5k\n4:30pm – 1 Mile\n5pm – Tacos & tamales – San Judas\nMusic – Curtis Scott & Deion James followed by Amy LaVere & Will Sexton\n\nNeed Accommodations? \nThe festival takes place on a small farm nestled on the eastern slope of Crowley’s Ridge.
