SUMMARY:Caveman Open: Community/Alumni Cross Country 5k and Kids 1 mile Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:This race is an extension of the Caveman Open Cross Country Meet! This will take place on the Cave City Cross Country Course. \nWe will have 2 Races. The Kids 1 mile Fun Run for ages 12 and under will begin at 4:00pm with the Community/Alumni 5k (for all ages) beginning at 4:30pm. \nThe Official Junior High and Senior High Races will take place the following Tuesday\, October 7th starting at 3pm. \nBENEFICIARY\nThis race will support the Cave City High School Cross Country and Track and Field Teams.\nLOCATION\nThe race is held on the Caveman Open Cross Country Course. Parking is available by the High School Gym and you can either ride the shuttle bus over or walk back to the course. The road to the course is right by Dale’s Garage. Address to Cross Country Course Road: 820 N. Main St. Cave City\, AR 72521; High School/General Parking: 620 N. Main St. Cave City AR\nCOURSE MAP\nCommunity/Alumni 5k: 5K Course Map \nKids Fun Run: \nENTRY FEES\nCommunity/Alumni 5k is $25; The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is $15 race fee includes race entry\, T-shirt (for racers registered by September 15 after which they will be first come; first serve until gone)\, Both Races include a Popsicle\, Water and Snacks! Race day registration will begin at 3:00 PM. Make checks payable to: Cave City Cross Country. Community/Alumni 5k $30 and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run $20; Day of Race Registration is available (Cash or Check ONLY for day race registration).\nT-SHIRTS\nAll runners pre-registered by September 15 will receive a T-shirt. After September 15 T-shirts will be handed out until they run out on a first come\, first serve at the registration tent for anyone who signs up after July 16th or on the day of the race. Sizes: Youth M and L and Adult S\, M\, L\, XL\, XXL. If you ARE NOT registered by September 15 there is NO GUARANTEE you will receive a shirt. \nWe are selling older version of T-Shirts for $5 at the race. SUMMARY:Heroes for Hope 5K
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this 5K and fun run to benefit the Sharp County Sheriff’s Foundation and The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties.  Make plans to dress as your favorite superhero and come out to help break the stigma surrounding SUD/AUD as well as show support for individuals and families impacted by foster care in our community. \nStart/Finish:\nThe race will begin at 9 AM.\nThe race starts and finishes in the Cave City Park. \nFree Kids Fun Run following 5K (approximately 10:00 AM) \nPacket Pick Up:\nRace day packet pickup will be at Cave City Park starting at 8:00 AM on Saturday\, October 11. \nCost:  $30\nRace day registration will be available from 8:00-8:30 AM. \nParking:\nAvailable on the grassy lot across from the Cave City Park. \nAdverse Weather Policy:\nWe expect our events to happen rain or shine. No one\, including the Race Director\, wants to make changes to an event on race day. However\, the safety of our participants is of paramount concern. In the event of adverse weather conditions\, the Race Director\, in communication with the local law enforcement and the city\, may delay the event\, cancel the event\, or make changes to the race course.\nAdverse Weather Definition:\nThe event may be delayed or canceled due to Tornado Warning\, Tornado Watch\, Thunderstorm\, Heavy Rain\, or any other extreme weather condition. Light to moderate rain is not considered an Adverse Weather Condition. \nCancellation Policy:\nIf the 10/11/25 race is canceled\, all entries will be deferred to the following year. Sorry\, no refunds.
