DESCRIPTION:Run or walk one or both of the CHASE RACE events! \nCHASE RACE 2023 \n2-MILE is not only an AR Grand Prix Championship Race but a fun family event. Walkers and slower runners yield to faster runners on the course.  All participants will be directed to the right side of the course streets. No dogs in this one\, please!   The course is USATF certified and disposable chip timing with S/F mats will be provided. \nPAWS RACE 1-Mile event is for participants who want to run or walk with their leashed dog/pet. It is a fun event for dogs/pets of all breeds\, ages and sizes!  The course will be gun timed (no start mat). \nLOCATION: Both events start & finish at Simon Park\, 805 Front Street\, Downtown Conway\, AR.\nOTHER ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:\n1) Best Pet Costume Contest. Judging and winners will be determined during the 1-Mile race.\n2) Local Animal adoption agencies and organizations will have info regarding their rescue as well as pets available for adoption.\n3) Various sponsor booths with give aways and information.\nC o u r s e s: The 2M & PAWS 1M courses are out & back\, flat and fast with excellent traffic control & aid station. An experienced team of organizers will make the event exciting and fun. Restrooms available.  We hope to see you at the starting line!  Participants of all abilities\,\n“ON YOUR MARK”!\nRunner Amenities: Each Participant will receive a souvenir T-Shirt. To be guaranteed a T-shirt of your size\, you must register before FEBRUARY 20th. Participants will also receive an awesome “goodie” bag. SUMMARY:Toad Suck Daze 10k/5k Run and Tadpole Trot
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to announce the 41st Annual Toad Suck Daze 10K and 5K Race for the Kiwanis Club of Conway. We would also like to thank our presenting sponsor for this year’s race\, Conway Regional Health Systems! \nWe are also happy to announce that this year’s race has been designated as a Grand Prix Race by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA)! \nThe Tad Pole Trot\, Presented by Centennial Bank will take place May 5th at 5:45 pm at the Conway High School track.  This will be a short race and is for kids ages 3-10 years old.  Prizes and t-shirts are available! \nThe Toad Suck Daze 10K Race was started by the Conway Kiwanis Club in 1982 and run in conjunction with the then-new Toad Suck Daze Festival. In 1984\, First National Bank (now Regions) began a race in memory of a fellow employee\, Randy Baker\, who died of cancer. The Randy Baker 8K was conducted for two years\, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. In 1986\, the Conway Kiwanis Club approached Regions Bank\, and the two races were combined.  The annual Toad Suck Daze Run is held in memory of Randy Baker\, with proceeds benefiting non-profit agencies supporting children in the Faulkner County community.  The 2022 recipients included:  Children’s Advocacy Alliance\, Community Connections\, Community Service Inc\, Compass Academy\, HAVEN\, Main Stage Education Series at Reynolds Performance Hall\, Conway Area Youth Leadership Institute\, and Milestones Services Inc. \nToday\, the Run includes both a 10K and a 5K Run/Walk\, a Wheelchair event\, a Tadpole Trot for children ages 3-10. Since its inception\, the run has contributed over $450\,000 to support local non-profits\, and the Run strives to increase its contributions to the Faulkner County community each year. \nOnline registration will be cut off Thursday\, May 4th at 11:59 pm.  Runners can still register for the race by filling out paper registration forms at: \n-Conway Regional Fitness Center\, May 5\, 2023 – 12 pm – 6 pm \n-Day of Race\, Registration table Conway High School Field House – 6:30 am – 7:30 am \nHope to see you all there!

We will\, however\, have refreshments and awards for those that register for the event on RunSignUp. The first 50 participants to register are guaranteed a finisher’s medal\, and the first male and first female “winners” of the 5k will receive a free CRC membership. \nRegistration is FREE to all Conway Running Club members\, so be sure to become a member before registering! (See membership cost and perks below.) 12 and under\, regardless of event\, are also free. 100% Member discount will be automatically applied at checkout. YOU MUST USE SAME EMAIL TO REGISTER FOR RACE AS USED FOR CLUB MEMBERSHIP. \n2) We will have a wave start with the 5k starting at 8am and the 1-mile starting ~5 minutes after. The 1-mile course will be on the trail with a turnaround point halfway. We ask that you please try to run on the right side of the trail as to not impede those who are returning to the finish. The first 50 participants to register are guaranteed a finisher’s medal\, and the first male and first female “winners” of the 5k will receive a free CRC membership. \nRegistration is FREE to all Conway Running Club members\, so be sure to become a member before registering! (See membership cost and perks below.) 12 and under\, regardless of event\, are also free. 100% Member discount will be automatically applied at checkout. YOU MUST USE SAME EMAIL TO REGISTER FOR RACE AS USED FOR CLUB MEMBERSHIP. \n2) We will have a wave start with the 5k starting at 8am and the 1-mile starting ~5 minutes after. Please arrive early enough to check-in for the event (we will be giving you a wristband to denote which race you are running). \n3)This is an OPEN course. The 1-mile course will be on the trail with a turnaround point halfway. We ask that you please try to run on the right side of the trail as to not impede those who are returning to the finish. While the majority of the 5k is along the trail\, there is a small portion that goes into a neighborhood. It is your responsibility to obey all traffic laws and be aware of your surroundings. Please run opposing vehicular traffic whenever possible. \n4) We will have the portion of the 5k course that goes into the neighborhood marked with some cones so you hopefully will know when to turn. Still\, please check out the course map prior to the run if you can! \n4) We are anticipating a nice turn out for this event\, and we are excited!
