DESCRIPTION:Get ready to conquer the peaks with the Tri Peak Series brought to you by River Valley Runners! \nDive into a thrilling trio of races set in breathtaking landscapes\, starting with the Mt. Magazine 15k on May 31\, 2025 that promises to challenge and inspire. It’s only ONE hill!! We start about a half mile from the school on dirt road and then it turns into paved road the rest of the way up to the top of Mt. Magazine. Once at the top\, there will be a shuttle to get you to the bottom of the mountain – Or you can go a little extra an run down! What goes up must come down\, right? \nEarly start for Mount Magazine is 6:30am! \nKeep the adrenaline pumping with an up and downhill all paved course on Danville Mtn. with the Danville Mountain 5k on August 16\, 2025. \nWe wrap up the series with the deliciously named Mt. Nebo Chicken Fried 10k on September 13\, 2025.This is a paved course that starts at the bottom of Mt. Nebo at the Dollar General across the road. Once at the top\, there will be a shuttle to get you to the bottom of the mountain – Or you can go a little extra an run down! What goes up must come down\, right? \nWhere you earn the bragging rights along with some awesome swag for the finale! \nEach race comes with a Shirt. There are custom medals made for each race. If you do all three races there is a final medal you receive for doing all three! Each year the design is different so we can keep you interested to come back for more! \nCan’t make a date? No sweat! Just complete the course on your own time\, send us your triumph email and Strave/Garmin/Coros course mapping & time recording\, and we’ll make sure you get your well-deserved gear. SUMMARY:RVR Running for a Pawpose 5k
DESCRIPTION:Lace up your running shoes and join us for the RVR Running for a Pawpose 5k! This charity run is a chance to enjoy a beautiful morning while making a tangible difference in the lives of animals in need. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Furry Tails Rescue\, a local no-kill\, foster-based dog rescue dedicated to saving abandoned and stray dogs. \nThe run will take place at 8am. in Merritt Park in Dardanelle\, AR. We’ll have awards for the overall male and female runners and walkers. \nEvery step you take and every dollar you donate helps Furry Tails Rescue continue its vital work. Since its founding in 2014\, this 100% volunteer-run organization has rescued and rehomed nearly 6\,000 dogs. As a foster-based rescue\, all dogs receive personalized care in loving homes\, not kennels. The money raised from this event will help cover essential veterinary costs—from basic spay/neuter surgeries to more extensive treatments for heartworm and injuries. While the adoption fees only cover a fraction of these costs\, your support helps bridge the financial gap and ensures that every dog gets a second chance at a happy\, healthy life. \nWe will be collecting donations at the event for the following items\, for every item you donate you will get an entry into our raffle for some of our wonderful prizes. \nDry and canned dog food (no Gravy Train\, please) \nPuppy pads \nClorox wipes \n10×10 or larger tarps \nZip ties \nGas gift cards \nStainless steel bowls \nSmall swimming pools \nBox fans \nExtension cords \nWater hoses \nAutomatic feeders \nStall rakes \nTogether\, we can make a difference—one paw at a time. This year\, Dardanelle is pulling out all the stops for a massive\, family-friendly Independence Day celebration at Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park—and we are starting the day on the right foot. \nWhether you’re a competitive runner or just looking for a morning walk with the family\, come out for the inaugural Yell County Freedom 4-Miler as we celebrate 250 years of American liberty! \nRace Details: \n📅 Date: Saturday\, July 4th\, 2026\n⏰ Time: 7:00 AM sharp\n📍 Start & Finish: Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park\n🏃‍♂️ Route: Lace up for a beautiful 4-mile loop following our brand-new city trail all the way to the Dardanelle Community Center and back. \nPacket Pickup and Same Day Registration will be from 6:00a-6:45a with the race beginning promptly at 7a. \n🎉 Stick Around for the Main Event! The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line. Don’t forget to check out nearby Lake Dardanelle and Mount Nebo State Parks for daytime nature walks and community bike parades! \nSee you at the starting line! 🥇 \nRace Info: \nThis is a scenic 2 mile out and back following the new Dardanelle Trail System. We will start and finish at the trail head near the basketball court in Veteran’s Memorial Riverfront Park\, you will follow the trail along front street then turn on to N Second St. where you will cross under Hwy 22 to the parking lot by the Dardanelle Community Center where you will turn around and head back. \nThis is a chip timed race you will need to cross the starting mat and finish mat in order to be recorded. Please make sure you have the chip securely attached to your shoe. (see image below for examples) \nThere is 1 water stop for this race at the turn around point near the Dardanelle Community Center. \nWe will have overall awards for the top 3 male and female finishers for both the runner and walker categories. We will also have top 3 age awards for 10 year increments 0-9\, 10-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70-79 and 80+ \nAwards will begin @8:30a after the kids fun run (we may start sooner if all runners are off course) \nParking: \nWe will have parking available at Veteran’s Memorial River Front Park. \nPacket Pick Up: \nWe will have packet pick up the day of the race only at the start line beginning at @5:45a and closing at 6:45a. Please make sure you plan to get there and get your packet early so we can start the race promptly at 7a. \n**Register before 11:59p CST 6/22 to be guaranteed a shirt and medal.
