DESCRIPTION:35th Annual Running\nThe Arkansas Traveller is steeped in tradition as one of the oldest 100 mile races in the country\, maintaining its founding philosophy of providing a true ultrarunning experience melded with Southern hospitality. Our course consists of a 17-mile loop followed by an 83-mile out-and-back through the Ouachita Mountains on forest roads\, jeep trails\, and an eight mile section of the Ouachita Trail. 12\,000 cumulative feet of climb. We will have 23 fully stocked and staffed aid stations with the friendliest volunteers and course veterans to help you reach the finish line.  The Traveller is a Western States qualifier. \nThe combination of volunteer and community support\, the beautiful scenery of the Ouachitas\, and the sneaky-hard runnable hills that will challenge you from beginning to end is what makes the AT100 so unique among the many ultras today. \nThis is a great run for first-time 100-milers\, or experienced ultrarunners who enjoy a well-supported event. \n​​What You Get: \nA Race Shirt (*Register by Sept 1st to guarantee your size/style)\nVery Well Stocked and Fully Staffed Aid Stations – approximately every 5 miles\nA Finishers Buckle\nSterling Silver (yes\, real silver) – overall M/F\nColored Enamel – under 24 hours\nBronze – over 24\nWooden engraved plaques for\nOverall M/F\nRunner-Up 2nd place M/F\nMaster M/F\nAge Group Awards -for those who stay for the post race ceremony\nPost Race Breakfast\nPrepared/Served by the William’s Junction Volunteer Fire Department & begins ~5AM Sunday\nSoup and various items for those who drop or finish before 5am\nOnsite EMT and Medical Director\nOur Own Tried and True Timing Team \nOur Motto –  “Good Time Running!”\nRace Director – Stacey Shaver-Matson

Good beverages. Bring your own snacks and beer to share.\nI’m sure Charlie will have the fireball.\nWe will have snacks\, water\, beer\, and laughter to share! We will have a few chair to sit in after if it is not too cold so we can all gather and discuss the year going out and the new year coming in! \nALL paces are welcome. Walkers\, Joggers\, Runners\, Elites\, Horseback riders\, dogs\, whatever!!\nLet’s celebrate the end of the year with good people and our runderful community!!! \nSo — the LOCATION:\n34°50’06.6″N 92°53’01.0″W \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/XEGyeEpvrXVB5Mq8A\nGoogle maps will take you the HARD way — please do not take the short route. going up the corkscrew is hard on a lot of vehicles.\nRecommended Route:\n1. Turn on AR-324 Headed towards Lake Sylvia and the AT100 start/finish.\n2. Follow that road until you hit gravel and continue forward (this is the Full moon and catsmacker route you are headed down now). This is Co Rd. 58\n3. Continue on Co Rd. 58 until you hit a T in the road — Turn RIGHT onto Forest Tr 132\n4. Keep on Forest Tr 132 until you get to another turn > Turn LEFT\n5. After turning LEFT > keep on this road until you hit a triangle and hang another LEFT\n6. Stay on this road until you get to the end of the road which is the top of the corkscrew and just about a quarter of a mile from E-Tower aid station (AT100 reference). \nI will send a picture of a map in an email as we get closer to the date\, I promise!!
