DESCRIPTION:The Possum Pedal Fun Ride is design as a family friendly recreational ride the routes to some of the best locations in Russellville. You have two route options to choose from. The full loop is 14 miles long with three rest stops. The short cut loop is 8 miles long\, with 3 rest stop and designed for riders who desire an easier and more casual course. Both routes were carefully designed to provide low traffic volume\, safer street crossings\, bike lanes\, and abundant bicycle accessible sidewalks/bike paths. \nThe rest stops include a historical landmark\, the Boys and Girls Club\, and the Russellville Airport (Hotdogs\, chips\, and refreshment  provided). \nWe are excited to host this event and we’re thrilled to have you join in the fun. All finishers will be awarded with a Possum Palooza metal. \n

This run took place in Russellville at the Arkansas Tech University track. The One Hour Track Run was eliminated after one year as the Grand Prix was trimmed to a core of four races for most of the 1980’s. Later incarnations of a One Hour Track Run were located in El Dorado and later Camden\, Arkansas\, and were a Grand Prix staple in the 1990’s. After 1998\, the One Hour Track Run ceased to be run until the Long Distance Running Committee decided to revive it as part of the 25th Running of the Grand Prix in 2006. Fittingly\, the One Hour Track Run returned to Russellville for Grand Prix XXV\, and was held at the Russellville High School Track. \nThe course is a standard\, 400 meter track. Very Flat! Runners have the option of entering with their spouse in the Married Sweethearts Division\, or teaming up with a “friend” in the Unmarried Sweethearts Division. The finishing times for the two Sweethearts will be added together to compete against other couples’ composite times. SUMMARY:Tour de Pumpkin
DESCRIPTION:The 17 mile route will be the same as previous years. An aid station will be available in London at the old City Hall parking lot. \nThe 30 mile route has two deviations from previous years’ route. This year the route will turn left on Whorton Mountain Rd off of Will Baker Rd\, then turn right on Martin Chapel School Rd. This change will bypass a section of hwy 333 and avoid an area known to have aggressive dogs.  A new location for an aid station will be at Martin Chapel. Restrooms will be available. The second deviation is from Mill Creek Rd at East Point Baptist Church. Turn right onto Bailey Loop and follow to the end and turn right onto Mill Creek Rd. This change is to avoid Mill Creek Rd that has seen increased vehicle traffic with no shoulder. \nThis years event is purposefully minimal with no T-shirt and a lower registration fee. Efforts are underway to drastically improve the Tour de Pumpkin event for 2026 through a joint cooperative committee and business sponsorship. The goal is to offer a quality supported event with a post ride meal\, t-shirt\, swag bag\, and improved routes and aid stations. \nStarting at 10 am a balance bike course will be available in Downtown (at Denver and B Street) for children under 8 years old. This is a free course complete with bikes and helmets. \nCostumes are highly encourage for all participants.

Runners have the option of entering with their spouse in the Married Sweethearts Division\, or teaming up with a “friend” in the Unmarried Sweethearts Division. The finishing times for the two Sweethearts will be added together to compete against other couples’ composite times. The Sweetheart competition is in additional to the male/female individual races and does not affect an individual’s time\, placing\, or award in the overall race.

DESCRIPTION:Race hosted by the River Valley Runners\n•Kicks off the 2025Grand Prix Season!\n•Run on a standard 400 meter track\n•Grand Prix Championship Event\n•Two separate heats to decrease track congestion\n\n\nDay of race registration: $35.00\n\nChili and all the fixin’s will be provided\n\nThe first One Hour Track Run was held in 1983 as part of Grand Prix II. This run took place in Russellville at the Arkansas Tech University track. The One Hour Track Run was eliminated after one year as the Grand Prix was trimmed to a core of four races for most of the 1980’s. Later incarnations of a One Hour Track Run were located in El Dorado and later Camden\, Arkansas\, and were a Grand Prix staple in the 1990’s. After 1998\, the One Hour Track Run ceased to be run until the Long Distance Running Committee decided to revive it as part of the 25th Running of the Grand Prix in 2006. Fittingly\, the One Hour Track Run returned to Russellville for Grand Prix XXV\, and was held at the Russellville High School Track. \nThe course is a standard\, 400 meter track. Very Flat!
