DESCRIPTION:“DO THE HAVEN HUSTLE 5K” \nThe Haven Hustle 5K” is a fundraiser to benefit Haven Homes of Texarkana. Haven Homes is a faith-based\, non-profit organization that serves both men and women in the Texarkana/Four States area who are struggling with life issues such as drug abuse\, alcoholism\, and addiction. Through safe housing\, work and service programs\, counseling\, and spiritual guidance\, we help individuals in need grow and thrive. The Haven Homes mission is to bring restoration to broken people through grace-based discipleship. We seek to reach those in pain from addiction and\, through God’s grace\, help these individuals receive love\, joy\, hope\, and healing. Haven Homes offers a Transitional Home for women coming out of Bowie County Women’s Center. Failure to operate bicycles safely and properly can lead to disqualification. Littering can lead to disqualification. Trespassing can lead to disqualification and might also get you shot. Riders are only allowed to utilize assistance available to the general public under normal business and agency operating conditions. The clock starts as soon as the rider starts and doesn’t end until the rider finishes. Live tracking is required as well as publicly available tracking logs. Approved assistance exceptions are typically allowed during Group Depart week from approved “Trail Angels”. \nMini RAT is for anyone who wants to follow the RAT route with no expectation of completing the full route. Ride as many (or as few) as fits into your schedule. We have a single weekend route for people who want to pedal back to DFW: Mini RAT Day 1 140 Miles Texarkana to Paris\nMini RAT Day 2 110 miles Paris to Rowlett Train Station. \nThe Tiny RAT is a 150 mile lollipop from Farmersville to Paris and back which primarily utilizes the NETT. Saturday night overnight in Paris is included which offers the opportunity to socialize with the RAT riders as they come into Paris. Please note\, this is not an “easy” ride. 75 miles each day is likely to feel more like 100 on these sections of the NETT. Self navigation capability is EXTREMELY important. We will provide the route but it will not be verified before hand. It is likely that on the fly adjustments to the route may be needed\, particularly in the case of inclement weather.

SUMMARY:Run the Line Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Run the Line Half Marathon is a unique opportunity to run in one half marathon in Texas and Arkansas on a USATF certified single-loop course.  The race starts at W. Broad Street and Texas Blvd in downtown Texarkana\, Texas\, quickly moves into Arkansas\, crosses back into Texas\, and finishes in Texarkana\, Arkansas. The course includes 10-ft wide asphalt trails that wind through residential neighborhoods on city streets. The finish line is downtown at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House about 5 blocks from the start. \nWe are a Road Runner Club of America event member. We have also applied to be a qualifying race again in the 2025 Natural State Running Series. The races and registration are available at www.naturalstateruns.com. \nA portion of the course is on the Texas/Arkansas State Line. The 2026 course is USATF certified (AR19015WJT).
