DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, January 7th\, for a great day of riding rural roads\, with a stop in at the Pea Ridge hub\, and a Q&A with Andy Chasteen and the Pea Ridge mayor Nathan See about his vision for the future of cycling in Pea Ridge. \nWe’ll depart from Rapha Bentonville at 10 am and head towards Pea Ridge\, taking in a few of the new connectors that OZ Gravel and Trailblazers have recently finished. Then a mid-ride stop at the Pea Ridge hub with the mayor\, and some local food and beverage (possibly some coffee and donuts!). Then we’ll ride back to Bentonville for post ride food and libations and happy hour pricing at The Hub Bike Lounge. \nWe’ll have a long route and a shorter route for folks to choose from\, and similar to our last community event\, you ride at your own pace! \nThe event is free\, but we ask you to RSVP for accurate food and drink estimates. \nThe routes can be found here: \n30-mile—> https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45003310 \n36-mile—> https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45150008

DESCRIPTION:It’s been said that the more you know\, the less you need. To this end\, we invite you to join us around the fire at the first Vinterläger. \nOur “winter camp” is a three-day\, two-night immersive wilderness experience: a setting to learn new skills\, and sharpen old ones. As a small group\, we’ll eat food professionally prepared over the fire\, and ground ourselves in the winter landscape of the Ozark Mountains. We’ll take a deep dive into the fundamentals of wilderness self-sufficiency. We will get our hands dirty honing knife\, saw\, and axe techniques\, build strong shelters\, kindle fire from friction\, and prepare food for the hearth. We’ll trade ideas\, laugh a lot\, and work with the land around us in a reciprocal manner. Spots are limited\, so don’t delay to sign up. \nWhat’s included: \n\n3 days of wilderness skills training with different instructors: Pack Rat Bushcraft\, Teal Bulthuis\, and Matt & Pam Furches\, senior instructors from Utah’s Boulder Outdoor Survival School.\nUnique private walk-in camping area\n3 high quality\, professionally cooked meals from Chef Matt Cooper (1 breakfast\, 2 dinners)\nLimited Edition event swag\n\nFor additional information reach out to rick@packratoc.com
