By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment\, unstable housing\, and lack of education\, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and\, ultimately\, self-sufficiency. \nJoin us for a family friendly\, multi “bike”\, ride in our beautiful Hot Springs!\nYou will have the option to ride your road bike only\, MTB only\, or BOTH!! Yes\, we will have routes that include both road AND mountain. We will have a shuttle for your bikes at the exchange location. \nAfter you have worked up a good appetite come celebrate your finish at our After Party. (Farmers Market) Your “tour” registration includes food and drink\, t-shirt\, and other awesome swag. Medical support will be available; however\, medical personnel will not be dispensing comfort medications such as: aspirin\, ibuprofen\, Tylenol. Participants are asked to bring their own comfort medications as needed. \nHelmets are required for ALL riders regardless of the route you ride or your age. \nPlease download and save the route you plan to ride!!! All the routes will be well marked but it always helps to have the route on your bike computer! All routes are below. \nFull Tour de Salvation\nIf you plan to ride the Full Tour route\, you have the option to bring two different bikes. Many riders will ride the road route with a road bike (or gravel bike) and then switch to their mountain bike (MTB). Or you can complete the entire ride on your MTB!  If you plan to switch bikes\, remember to bring the shoes you need for each bike! You will need to “check in” your mountain bike and MTB shoes by 6:45 am on the day of the event. Your MTB will be shuttled to the switch point. Once you switch bikes at the trail\, you will leave your road bike at the switch point and it will be shuttled back to the start point. After completing the mountain bike trail ride at the Pullman Trailhead\, you will simply ride your MTB on the road for 2.5 miles back through downtown (bathhouse row) to the Farmer’s Market. SUMMARY:Arkansas NICA Race 1 - Plateau Region
DESCRIPTION:One of the great things about a NICA League\, which separates us from other youth cycling development programs\, is we produce our own youth-specific events. This means we pick out race venues and work directly with landowners and managers to produce the highest quality youth development racecourses and events. The student-athletes get a stage of their own\, away from adult competitions\, and we strive for safety and fun above all other factors. \nThe Arkansas League will produce a total of 7 events in 2024.  On our Time Trial weekend we will have a special Race Clinic Event on that Saturday aimed at getting more girls on bikes in addition to allowing newer riders have a practice race\, attend a race clinic and do their first mass start.  Followed by a Prelude Time Trial and 4 races in the fall.  New for 2024 we have 2 Regions.  Plains (Central\, South and NE Arkansas) and Plateaus (NWA and OK generally).    The competitive racing will consist of 2 regional events\, and 2 All league Events.   We will crown regional champions at the end of Race 3 based of total points and also have a true “winner take all” State Championship Event at Race 4.  Athletes must have attended atleast 2 prior races to be eligible to win the State Championship.

SUMMARY:SouthArk Outdoor Expo Hero 5k Run/Walk Run for the Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Real heroes\, ordinary people\, extraordinary courage. \nThe SouthArk Outdoor Expo will once again host the Hero 5k Run/Walk sponsored by South Arkansas Regional Hospital.  Runners and walkers of all ages\, abilities\, and experience levels are encouraged to come out and participate in a supportive and fun 5K event that honors our military and first responders. \nThis race honors our local courageous heroes – healthcare professionals\, military personnel\, and first responders. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the sacrifices made daily by these heroes and to unite in their honor.  The community is invited to honor our hometown heroes and those who have served in the military while paying tribute to the heroes of today who are working on our frontlines. \nThe Hero 5k Ran/Walk grew in memory of Major Ronald Wayne Culver\, who died in Iraq on May 24th\, 2010. Major Culver served multiple combat deployments throughout his military career and served on countless programs and organizations in our local community. He was a true American hero who courageously sacrificed his life for our country. \nThis race also honors Leslie Darden\, a hero & inspiration to so many in the racing world. She pushed people to be the best they could be through her steadfast encouragement\, uplifting cheers\, and empowering guidance!  Leslie was an alumna of SouthArk and worked in the healthcare industry for 12 years. \nIt is an honor for us to recognize the courageous spirit of all of our hometown heroes including healthcare professionals\, firefighters\, military\, and law enforcement who serve and protect our community!  We wish to raise awareness of the sacrifices made daily by these heroes and unite to honor all those who have stepped up to earn the title of HERO. \nFor additional details and to register to participate in the Hero Run/Walk\, go to www.southarkexpo.com/contests/hero-5k-run-walk
