SUMMARY:DeGray Lake Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:One of the original multisport festivals in Arkansas…the DeGray Lake Triathlon will feature two triathlon distances (olympic and sprint)\, a duathlon (sprint)\, aquabike (olympic) and an open water swim (olympic). There will be a team category for the olympic triathlon. \nDeGray Lake is a reservoir on the Caddo River in Arkansas. This beautiful lake and surrounding Ouachita mountains near Hot Springs and Little Rock is an Arkansas resort state park. \n\nOlympic Triathlon: 1\,500 meter swim\, 40 kilometer bike\, 10 kilometer run.  Individuals and teams.\nSprint Triathlon: 500 yard swim\, 13.5 mile bike\, 5K run.  Individuals only\nSprint Duathlon: Run 1: 2 miles\, Bike: 13.5 miles  Run 2:  3.1 miles\nAquabike (swim and bike only): 1\,500 meter swim\, 42 kilometer bike.  Individuals only\nOpen Water Swim: 1\,500 meter swim\n\nRace Venue Information: \n\nDeGray Lake\,  AR located just outside of Caddo Valley\n2.5 miles North on Hwy 7 from Interstate 30\, exit 78.  Turn left onto Skyline Drive.\nSpillway Trail Head (The Spillway Dam Area) is rougly 8/10ths of a mile west of the intersection of Skyline Dr and Hwy 7.\nGoogle map coordinates – https://goo.gl/maps/Uz7c5ZuonT9pucF18\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEntry Fees Priced With Custom Socks\n\nEntry Fees are priced with custom socks \, but a participant has the option to select no socks and SAVE $5. Participant can also upgrade to a ringspun cotton tshirt for $10\, or upgrade fabric to a full sublimated technical wicking fabric shirt for $20. If an item is ordered and the size is not available then a refund will be issued at packet pickup. \nRace Apparel Options and Styles: \n\nNO Socks Option – Save $5\nCustom socks – No charge\nRingspun Cotton T-shirt ($10 upgrade fee) – unisex sizing\nFully Sublimated Technical T-shirt ($20 upgrade fee) – Both men and women specific sizing. A true moisture wicking-fabric shirt that has been engineered to keep you dry while you exercise. There are plenty of polyester shirts out there\, but this one is the real deal.

B Street and Saturday morning from 7 am – 7:45 am at Greg Smith River Trail\, 121 Riverfront Drive\, Fort Smith AR  72901. \nT-shirts guaranteed for those who register prior to September 6th and at day of race\, if available. \nOverall Awards for Top three Male & Top Female Finishers in 5K and 10K\, Top 3 Masters (40+)\, Grand Masters (50+)\, Seniors (60+)  Male and Female in 10K. \nAge Division Awards (5 deep) in 5 year age groups for 10 – 80 & 9 and under for 5K Run\, 10K Run\, and Timed 5K Walk. \nThis race goal is to raise funds to provide assistance to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). \nwww.teamintraining.org \nIn 2022\, LLS took bold steps to improve the futures of blood cancer patients and survivors dealing with more than 100 blood cancers\, including leukemia\, lymphoma\, and Myeloma. \n1. 14 new blood cancer treatment options were approved by FDA\, many because of longstanding LLS support.\n2.  LLS funded 117 scientists and invested in 17 Therapy Acceleration Program (TAP) partners to advance next-generation blood cancer research. \nLLS is thankful for our supporters and volunteers who help continue advancing the LLS mission in Arkansas providing life-saving resources\, research\, and financial support.  Below is a snapshot of how LLS impacted the people of Arkansas in FY22. \n\nPeople in AR who received financial assistance through C0-Pay Assistance Program: $4\,401\,500.00.\nIn travel assistance provided to patients in AR: $66\,000.00.\nIn Urgent Need financial assistance provided to patients in AR: $79\,500.00.\nPeople and caregivers served by education and services in AR: 916.
