DESCRIPTION:The Hot Springs Enduro takes place in the Northwoods Trails system located in Hot Springs National Park. This trail system houses well over 30 miles of trails ranging from beginner green trails to double black for the experts out there looking to push the limits. The AES Enduro is being held in conjunction with the Gudrun Mountain Bike Festival – a three-day mountain bike festival featuring dual slalom\, Strider races and the Atilla the Hun XC races. There’s something for everyone. Come for AES and stay for the rest. \nRegistration opens Friday\, June 12th at 8am with participation based on a first-come\, first-served basis. To create a rewarding enduro race experience\, organizers reserve the right to limit overall event participation. Each participant’s entry includes: \n\nOne-day competition with up to 4-7 stages and 10-20 total miles of rider-designed racing with dedicated pre-race practice times the day prior to the race.\nSufficiently marked courses with maps emailed to participants the week of the event.\nLively mid-race aid stations with access to professional neutral mechanics and medical support.\nProfessional event timing with accuracy to the 1000th of a second and instant results.\nComplimentary post-race meal and cold beverages (21+ for adult beverages\, ID required) in a family-friendly festival setting.\nAwards ceremony by category with prizes awarded 5 deep.\n\nRACE VENUE \nCedar Glades Park – Enter on Trapper Lane from Wildcat Road \nRace Venue Address – 461 Wildcat Rd\, Hot Springs\, AR 71913 \n  \nEVENT SCHEDULE \nFinal event schedule with packet pickup\, official pre-ride\, and start times will be released the week of the event. Arkansas Enduro Series events are rain or shine except under extreme circumstances. When permittable\, an official pre-ride/practice will be scheduled the day prior to Race Day(s). The Race Director reserves the right to adjust the schedule due to any unforeseen circumstances. \nFRIDAY | \n\nEarly pre-riding is allowed although some stages may in the proccess of being finishing marking.\n4PM-7PM | Early Check-In | Location TBA\n\nSATURDAY | \n\n9AM-4PM | Check-In & Official Practice Day\n\nSUNDAY | \n\n8AM-10AM | Timing Chip Pick-Up according to Wave Times. The Race Director reserves the right to adjust the schedule due to any unforeseen circumstances. \n  \nLODGING – When it comes to lodging in Hot Springs\, you have a plethora of options to choose from. For a comprehensive lodging guide visit hotsprings.org. \nDRY CAMPING – When possible\, limited dry camping spots at the Race Venue will be available to reserve during event registration. Please refer to the event’s online registration service for additional details. \nRESTAURANTS – In Hot Springs you can refuel with BBQ\, pizza and a local micro brew\, fresh catfish or homemade taffy. Visit hotsprings.org for a few ideas. We’d break the internet if we listed them all. \nSAFETY – This is not the time to skimp on protective equipment. Helmets are required to be worn on course during official event times and we highly suggest a full-face helmet\, knee pads\, and elbow pads. \nTEMPERATURE – In October\, Hot Springs\, Arkansas\, experiences mild and comfortable autumn weather. Daily highs average around 77°F (25°C)\, cooling down to average nighttime lows of about 53°F (12°C). \nWATER & SNACKS – While hydration will be available at select locations on course\, riders are encouraged to plan to carry at least 50-60 ounces of water and enough snacks to sustain themselves under strenuous exercise. \nNICE TO HAVES – Bug spray\, sunscreen\, spare tubes\, pump or CO2\, plugs\, patches and other parts. \nDOGS – Dogs are allowed but are required to be on a leash at all times. No exceptions. \nTRASH – If you pack it in\, pack it out. We are guests. Please follow all event sustainability and recycling requests. \nRACE DAY MEAL – A post-race meal will be provided to racers and volunteers on Race Days only. Redeemable meal tickets will be provided at the Registration & Timing tent. When possible\, additional food trucks and other resources will be made available on-site for fans\, family and friends. \nWAIVER – All participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to competing in the Arkansas Enduro Series. \nREFUND POLICY – Arkansas Enduro Series events are rain or shine\, and refunds will not be issued except under extreme circumstances.
