Welcome to our Calendar of Events.
Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

Hike in Allsopp Park

Type of Hike: Explore this 3.8-mile loop trail near Little Rock, Arkansas. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 37 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are January through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
Hiking Distance: 3.5 miles.
Rating: Easy to moderate. A hiking pole would be helpful for roots and holes.
Hike Leader: Tommie Kelly
Email: gogolibrary@yahoo.com
Meeting Place and Time: Allsopp Park – 3700 Cedar Hill Road. Near the intersection of Cantrell and Cedar Hill. Meet at the parking lot near the tennis courts
Comment 1: Bring water, snack, and wear trail shoes. Hiking poles are helpful. Participants are required to sign a “liability release” at the trailhead to take part in any Ozark Society outing. Everyone is welcome to hike with us, whether an Ozark Society member or not.
Comment 2: Toilets available near the trailhead, but not once on the trail
Comment 3: Please join us afterwards for brunch at Tommie’s home which is within walking distance from the park.
