FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The eighth annual Ladies Du Fayetteville race will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 7 a.m., commencing at the Lake Fayetteville Marina.
Registration for the women’s duathlon is open until noon on Friday, June 7th, and the Parks, Natural Resources, and Cultural Affairs Department is still seeking event volunteers.
The atmosphere at Ladies Du Fayetteville offers a unique multi-sport racing experience. Participants can compete individually, as a two-person relay team, or a three-person relay team.
The duathlon will comprise a 2-mile run, followed by an 11-mile bicycle ride, and ending with another 2-mile run. It will take place on the paved trails in the vicinity of Lake Fayetteville.
Just a friendly reminder: The Lake Fayetteville paved trail will be closed from 7 to 9 a.m. for the race. After the race, trail users are kindly asked to use the trail. The event is centered around the Lake Fayetteville Marina, which will be closed to vehicle and boat traffic from sunrise until 10:30 a.m.
The Ladies Du Fayetteville has a tradition of providing a supportive and rewarding race experience. The one-of-a-kind duathlon is a multi-sport race experience for women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming athletes.
