Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

(You may run, walk, hop, skip, jump, or crawl for as long as you want within the time limit, and stop whenever you have had enough fun.)
Sunset Lake, Benton (see directions & and parking info below)
The 24-hour run will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 29.
The 6 and 12-hour runs will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 30.
Check-in will start 45 minutes before the start time of the event you are running.
Course
The course will follow a one-mile paved loop around Sunset Lake
(The certification has expired but the certified distance was 1.015 miles and the course is unchanged.)
There will be lighting on part of the trail loop after dark
but it is recommended that the 24-hour runners bring a flashlight or headlamp
unless they are comfortable running/walking in the dark. We will change directions periodically except possibly during the 6-hour race.
None – Donations will be gladly accepted to help offset costs which include $290 pavilion rental plus food and drink. You can donate on the day of the race or via Venmo @salinestriders.
