Announcing the first ever Cycling Experience Summit, a gathering of cycling focused Event Directors, Tour
Operators and State and Local Tourism Leaders. This annual event will bring leaders from across the
country together to share ideas and best practices to start and grow bicycling events and tours of all sizes
and promote cycling destinations and tourism.
Who: Bicycling Event Directors, multi-day Tour Operators, Local and State Tourism and Destination
Management Leaders and cycling enthusiasts.
What: 3 days of informative discussions, networking and idea sharing focused on strategies for
successful events, rides and tours. The event will also feature a day of rides and experiences in
Bentonville, Arkansas, a thriving city that has emerged in recent years as a leading cycling destination.
Where: All meetings, events and rides will take place in the heart of Bentonville, Arkansas.
When: The Summit will take place on October 16-17 with rides and tours on the 18th. Additionally, this
event will be timed to occur during Big Sugar Classic presented by Life Time with events taking place
prior to and following the Summit.
History: While this will be the first Cycling Experience Summit, many of the attendees have been
involved in the Bicycle Tour Network and the National Bicycle Tourism Conference that took place
annually prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This event had a rich history of providing a forum specific to
those who organized bicycle rides and tours, and the new Cycling Experience Summit looks to bring this
group back together and expand it to involve cities, states and tourism/visitor bureaus.
