Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

Freedom 5k
Join us on the 4th of July 2026 at Lake Balboa Beach in Hot Springs Village, AR for the annual Stars and Stripes Freedom 5k Run and 1k Walk. Check-in starts at 6:30a and the run begins at approximately 7:30a. All runners will receive a custom finisher’s medal and awards will be given for top 3 men’s and women’s finishers. We will have a strict field limit of 175 runners. All participants must sign a waiver. Links to the course map and waiver are below. Online Registration is $20 until July 2nd with onsite registration available for $25 July 3rd/4th. Early check-in/registration will take place in the garden area next to the Coronado Fitness Center from 4-6 on the 3rd of July.
