Welcome to our Calendar of Events.
Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

King of the Crag

King of the Crag is Jamestown’s annual climbing competition and community celebration — a grassroots event that brings together climbers, friends, and outdoor lovers from across the region. Now in its 12th year, this fall gathering is more than just a comp — it’s a reunion, a fundraiser, and a showcase of what makes Jamestown Crag special.
All proceeds support the Jamestown Crag Foundation 501(C)(3) and our mission to keep this unique place free, accessible, and well cared for.
Come climb, cheer, camp, and connect. Whether you’re on the wall or around the campfire, there’s a place for you at The Crag.
Comp Specifics:
3 Divisions:
Recreational – (5.6-5.9)
Advanced – (5.10-5.11A)
Rock God – (5.11B-5.13+)
Top 5 red-point climbs (no falls or hanging) count for the day. In case of a tie, the 6th, 7th, 8th, and so on… routes climbed will count. If you’ve won 1st Place in Rec or Adv, you must class up this year.
There will also be a Most Routes Climbed – King & Queen!
