Kick off the New Year in style with a New Year’s Day canoe trip. Paddle down the scenic Little Maumelle River! Join the Arkansas Canoe Club for this cherished tradition on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2025. We’ll meet at 11:00 AM at the Pinnacle Mountain State Park boat ramp in the West Side parking lot to unload gear and organize shuttles.
The route covers about three picturesque miles, ending at The Nature Conservancy’s Ranch Northwoods Preserve. Along the way, we’ll pause to toast 2025 with a warm cup of hot cider. Bring your lunch and any snacks or goodies you’d like to share with the group. Depending on our numbers, we’ll stop for a bite at the camping platform (small groups) or the Ranch picnic area (large groups).
This event is rain or shine! We’ll dress for the weather and paddle on, unless freezing rain rears its frosty head—because, let’s face it, no one loves freezing rain.
This unforgettable adventure is co-hosted by the Arkansas Canoe Club–Central Chapter, the Arkansas Watertrails Partnership, and ACCBOATR, with special thanks to The Nature Conservancy of Arkansas for providing access to the Ranch Northwoods Preserve.
Mark your calendar, grab your canoe or kayak, and let’s celebrate the start of 2025 with a New Year’s Day canoe trip. It’s the best way to welcome the new year—guaranteed!
