Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

Papa Loco Marathon And Half Marathon
Date Change!
The annual loop-de-loop of Tucker Creek Trail in Conway, Arkansas, Loco is a laid back race with ample aid station support, approximately every half mile. We offer both full and half marathon distances. And with an eight hour time limit for both it’s the perfect choice for a first full. (We are walker friendly!)
Plus, at only $50 for either race, Loco is a bargain! All participants (that register in time) will receive shirts and finisher bling. Awards will be given to the top three finishers for each distance, male and female.
Packet pickup will be available at both The Ride in Conway and Rock City Running in Little Rock on Friday, as well as at the race on Saturday. You will need to choose your pickup location when you register. Your packet will be at the location you choose during registration. If you need to change your registration location you must email us by Thursday, 1/22/2026 at 8am. If you unexpectedly cannot make your selected location, your packet will be available on race day.
Registration will remain open until noon, Friday, 1/23/2026 Wednesday, 2/4/2026. PLEASE NOTE: If you register after Thursday, 1/22/2026 at 8am you will be required pick up your packet on race day.
Loco is Marathon Maniacs and Half Fanatics eligible if you participate on race day. We have a limited number of openings for virtual racers in each distance. Virtual participants will receive a finishers medal but no shirt. (Please note that virtual races are not eligible for MM/HF due to their rules.)
The course is certified and a Boston Qualifier though be aware it has been known to register long on some GPS devices.
