SHAM Mini Series of Cyclocross
Come play bikes with us!
But…What is cyclocross anyway?!
Weellll…it’s kinda like if a road bike and a mountain bike and a cross country running event all got mashed together!
Cyclocross is the best spectator friendly cycling event there is. ‘Cross races are held on short 1.5 to 2 mile laps that will mostly consist of grass and sometimes mud but can include sand, artificial barriers, hills, off camber sections, forced runs, and just about any dumb thing we can find in the park to make the race more fun to do but also to watch! We strive to make the race fun for everyone that comes out; from beginners and youth racers to the most experienced elite racers in Arkansas but especially to spectators! SHAM endeavors to make as much of the race course visible from as many spots along the way as possible, but especially at the start/finish line so you can cheer on your friends and family and all the other racers out for a fun day in the sun…or mud…or maybe snow…but almost definitely sand and grass!

Directions: Exit 630 onto University going North. Go right (east) at Markham and proceed ¼ mile up Markham to Taylor Ave, turn right and park at the old golf course pro shop / clubhouse building.
Course: The route may include grass, gravel, pavement, barriers, mud, stairs, a creek, etc., and will follow USAC regulations.
Event Rules & Information:
- Register online at https://www.bikereg.com/sham-mini-series-of-cyclocross
- All registration will be online only via the above link, including day of registration.
- Races will have a 40 mm max tire limitation and require drop bar bikes, excluding junior, youth, and Novice/Cat 5 participants
- Course, and number pick-up will open 45 minutes before first race of the day
- Registration via bikereg will be considered final 10 minutes before each race.
- USAC licenses may be purchased at www.usacycling.org; one-day licenses are available.
- First time new USAC licenses may be purchased for a discount using code INTROMEMB25
- All racers must sign a waiver at registration or online; under 18 must have the waiver signed by a guardian.
