We are so excited to announce the 43rd Annual Toad Suck Daze 10k and 5k Race for the Kiwanis Club of Conway. We would also like to thank our co-presenting sponsor for this year’s race, Centennial Bank and Conway Regional Health Systems!
The Tadpole Trot, Presented by Centennial Bank and Conway Regional Health Systems will take place May 2nd at 5:45 pm at the Young-Wise Memorial Stadium at Hendrix College. This will be a short race and is for kids ages 3-10 years old. Prizes and t-shirts are available!
The Toad Suck Daze 10k Race was started by the Conway Kiwanis Club in 1982 and run in conjunction with the then-new Toad Suck Daze Festival. In 1984, First National Bank (now Regions) began a race in memory of a fellow employee, Randy Baker, who died of cancer. The Randy Baker 8k was conducted for two years, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. In 1986, the Conway Kiwanis Club approached Regions Bank, and the two races were combined. The annual Toad Suck Daze Run is held in memory of Randy Baker, with proceeds benefiting non-profit agencies supporting children in the Faulkner County community. Over the years, the race has raised more than $500,000 for nonprofit organizations. As a result of last year’s success, The Conway Kiwanis Club presented checks totaling more than $44,500 to a variety of local non-profits that have programs for children, including Compass Academy, CSI Youth, Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County, Children’s Advocacy Alliance, Community Connections, Haven, Milestone Services, Inc., Main Stage Education Series at Reynolds Performance Hall, Deliver Hope and the Jerry Cooper Sensory Play Trail at Laurel Park. The Run strives to increase its contributions to the Faulkner County community each year.
Online registration will be cut off Friday, May 2nd at 11:00 am. Runners can still register for the race by filling out paper registration forms at:
-Conway Regional Fitness Center, May 2, 2024 – 12 pm – 6 pm
-Day of Race, Registration table Conway High School Field House – 6:00 am – 7:30 am
