HARRISON, Ark. – A new water line has been installed at Steel Creek and all amenities have now been restored to the area. The Steel Creek Campground, launch and all restroom facilities will reopen starting on Friday, September 20, 2024.
Please use caution as you drive on the Steel Creek Road. The roadbed is currently a packed blend of gravel, dirt and concrete. A pavement preservation project for Steel Creek Road is expected to begin late summer in 2025.
Reservations for Steel Creek Campground are available through November 14, 2024, at recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. For questions about the reopening, please call the Tyler Bend Visitor Center at 870-439-2502.
