US Army Corps of Engineers to Waive Day-Use Fees on Two Days in June

2025 Bike City Fondo

Good news for outdoor enthusiasts! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is waiving day-use fees at recreation areas nationwide for two upcoming holidays – their own birthday on June 16th and Juneteenth National Independence Day on June 19th.

Enjoy a day on the water for free, with boat launch ramps and swim beaches included in the waiver. However, the waiver does not apply to camping, specialized facilities like picnic shelters, or ticketed events. Standard fees will also resume for days between, June 17th and 18th.

It’s important to remember that this waiver applies only to USACE-managed areas. Other concessionaires operating on USACE land may or may not follow suit. To avoid any surprises, contact the specific recreation area you plan to visit beforehand and confirm their fee schedule and opening hours.
