The oldest, ongoing mountain bike event in Arkansas has reached 24 years old. The Ozark Mountain Bike Festival is held annually at Devil’s Den State Park in Northwest Arkansas. Unlike many other mountain biking events, this one is not centered around racing but more around the fun of riding a mountain bike. Full of introductory and intermediate workshops, fun rides and kids events, the festival is designed for riders of all levels. This festival is a family friendly event and a great getaway for the weekend. The park offers camping and cabins but they fill up quick. Other overnight options include Lake Fort Smith State Park, about 30-40 minutes away or hotels in nearby Fayetteville.
Below is the schedule for the Festival…

This was the PERFECT event for a relatively new biker (new to MTB at least). Definitely sign up for this next year if you couldn’t make it or are on the fence.
