The eagles have landed! DeGray Lake Resort State Park is excited to host its 41st annual Eagles Et Cetera festival January 24-26, 2020. Outdoor enthusiasts can choose from a number of memorable excursions offered during the weekend event: Enjoy a guided Eagle Watch Tour on beautiful DeGray Lake; embark on an evening Owl Prowl Adventure Tour or Golf Course Safari in search of nocturnal creatures; or, for a truly unique experience, accompany a master falconer on a Live Falconry Hunt on one of DeGray’s islands.
There will be plenty to see and do inside the warm, comfy lodge as well. Enjoy up-close views of live birds of prey during presentations by some of Arkansas’s premier animal caretakers and educators. Learn about a number of different conservation topics from experts like Rodney Paul of Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas, Rusty Scarborough, a master falconer, as well as educators and handlers from the Little Rock Zoo. Enjoy hands-on programs and crafts in the kid-friendly Eaglets Activity Room. Finally, experience the centerpiece of the celebration – the Little Rock Zoo’s amazing Birds of Prey Show featuring Lynn, the American bald eagle. A full schedule is available at arkansasstateparks.com.
