Arkansas Outside is NOT the owner or organizer of these events (unless otherwise noted). We aggregate these events into this one place to allow our readers a chance to see what outdoor recreation events are going on around the state. There is no need for FOMO when playing outside.

Old Post Challenge

Old Post Challenge has had many challenges these past few years, this year is no different and Dirt Viking Members, Cyclone Cycling Team and Lake Hamilton Composite Team are picking up the challenge last minute in 2025! Expect fun, friendship, competetion and a course that has been designed for a great race!
IMPORTANT NOTE: RACE PLATES. You will be required to answer details if you have an AMBCS Plate already for 2025 during registration. If you DO NOT have a race plate you are required to purchase one during registration process for 25.00. This is a one-time annual fee for the series that helps provide the electronic timing for all AMBCS events. This will minimize your wait and lines the sign-in tent on race day.
USA Cycling License Info:
- Cat 1 & 2 – an annual USA Cycling license is required to race. A one-day license is not allowed in either category. USAC is offering a discounted license for new annual license holders. Go to www.usacycling.org and purchase an annual license. At checkout, use the following code: “INTROMEMB25” (exp 12/31/25) $60 off (Creates a $50 membership) Valid for 1st time Members only
- Can only be used on Adult Race memberships
- Junior – see USA Cycling website for details. https://usacycling.org/get-started/bike-racing-for-kids-and-teens.
- Novice (Cat 3), Single Speed, E-bike and Clydesdale – for anyone who does not hold an annual USA Cycling license, a $15 one-day license fee is required to participate.
- Citizen (1st timer) categories entry fees include the one-day license fees.
ONSITE INFO:
- No Onsite Registration: We want to run an efficient race and have fun with you! so no lines, just packet pickup at the race on Saturday from 7:30 am until 30 minutes before the last race.
- Practice / Pre-Ride – The course is posted and is available for pre ride any time prior to the event. We will allow a 1-hour window on race morning then no pre riding is allowed while racers are on course.
